Great breakfast and location

Very clean and comfortable spacious rooms. Good breakfast. Staff were very friendly and efficient. Location is great. Extremely positive experience overall.
The pool in the atrium is extremely loud - although it does shut down at 9pm. No sleeping in - it’s open again in the morning and the yelling echoes. However, it’s just people having fun in the pool. Popped in the ear plugs when it got to be a bit much. I’d still come back as my experience here was 95% positive.

Breakfast buffet was quite nice.
PRICE!!! At over $400/night - felt we were gouged big time because it was Stampede week.
Terrible way to treat tourists, imo.

The breakfast was great! They did a wonderful job of keeping the dishes stocked through the morning and offering plenty of variety and high quality ingredients. The staff was courteous and efficient whisking away dirty dishes and replenishing all the offerings.
We ate dinner several times in the restaurant/ bar. The food there was good as well, good variety, nice touches like quality salads with fresh greens, 5 toppings and house made dressing. The service was also very courteous and efficient.
At night it was not as quiet as I would have liked but it was tolerable. There was a low rumble of traffic and vehicles idling (it was the front of the building). The area did not have much within walking distance except the University, a Denny’s, and a strip mall with a couple of restaurants. The greatest convenience was that there is a C train station a 5 minute walk from the hotel so you can get downtown easily for $3.60 per 90 minutes or buying a day pass for $11.25.

I didn’t personally stay. It was booked for my daughters graduation from U of C. The location was great, so. close to University. She liked the room and hotel so much she booked it for another night.

Everthing
Elevators!! Only 2 for the whole hotel. Slow and cramped. Spent more time waiting to get from 5th floor to main than any other comparable place.

All the facilities. The layout of the hotel.
I would like the curtains in my room to fully close. I like total darkness & looks like the balcony was shared so anyone could walk by & peer into the room if they wished to.

The beds were comfortable.
If you enjoy a "hostel party vibe" this may be the hotel for you, however, if you are hoping for a restful stay, look elsewhere. The hotel is beautiful, but the open concept is a noisy nightmare. People were setting up chairs in the hallway to drink and party, shouting across the hotel. Kids were playing soccer outside our door at 11pm. We had called front desk multiple times and asked them to control the noise and nothing was done. They stopped answering calls after the third. Is there a noise policy at this hotel? Why is it not enforced? The noise continued well past 1am. Definitly won't be staying here again.
