Rooms have been very nicely upgraded and makes for a great stay. There are many value properties in the area but this has been the best for us so far!!!!

Good

Reached the hotel with the bad reviews in mind, but exceeded the reviews. Overall a hotel with a cleab bed and a good shower. Glad they have taken the past review into consideration. Keep it up

It was just for a night so we did not mind...

It was close to all major activities that I was looking for, facility did not have A/C but at night we it was OK as weather was better and had fan...once A/C gets installed it would be a good place for all weather.

Need more cleaning and A/C

1-star kind of motel.

location

Poor sound insulation. cheap furniture. Shelving poorly attached in the bathroom. Water tasted like it came from a garden hose. Pool and spa were empty/dry/defunct. Shower faucet leaked A LOT. Many of the TV channels were not available.

The best underrated place to stay in Tahoe.

The property was very nice and quaint. Parking was really easy and it was close enough to everything we needed.

i don’t think I’ll be coming back, unless they clean up the exterior to enjoy the full grounds.

proximity to our activities in the area. easy to walk to main drag. Staff/Owners were friendly.

The property was somewhat messy. the pool was almost empty with green/black water and algae. Furniture and outdoor bbq, etc. was piled and pushed to a corner of the pool area. The wall mounted Shampoo, Soap was broken, and when I reported it they knew it. But didn’t supply those items until I asked.

Don't book Avalon Lodge!!!

The only thing I liked about the Avalon Lodge was a location

Room conditions were horrible. Smelled like mold. Door handles falling apart couldn't lock our room. Bought own sheets cause theirs were filthy. No toilet paper. No ice. Requested birthday balloons in room prior to arrival to surprise my wife on my expense and offered a 100$ tip. But nothing. Not 1 single thing was what I expected. Horrible experience.

Only benefit was the location.

The location, close to downtown.

Room #13, The beds old and uncomfortable mattress, very noisy hotel. You hear people walking upstairs, people walking on the second floor, the night stand between the beds was dusty, the carpet very old and dirty. The room had a smell, that I'm sure it had to do with the carpet. Very limited parking, and only one way in and one way out. This is no 4 stars hotel as it was listed on booking.com.

Great little place close to Heavenly ski resort (5 minute walk). Friendly staff, very helpful, cozy room. Affordable.

I again appreciate the staff and we did leave behind and item and it was found thank you 😊

The staff was amazing! The only thing was we were fast asleep (I traveled with children) and the late night arrivals were extremely loud- I got no sleep! There was a scary domestic dispute that I almost called the police bc it sounded violent. And was I think next door- I just wish someone stopped the situation.

I didn’t like the loud fighting.

Cozy and friendly, nice location, great bed

We were stuck in Tahoe for a few days and this was our warm little safe haven. Comfy beds, microwave, tea water, fridge. Front desk was friendly and accommodating. They helped everyone with clearing the parking area of snow, sprinkling steps and surfaces with salt and providing shovels.

Two lamps stopped working. Shower soap dispenser was out - oversight.

Great location. Easy check in. Parking somewhat limited if you have vehicle.

Well I wouldn’t say 4 stars but it was good. Price was fantastic given Tahoe on Friday night.
