About this condo rental
Situated in Edinburgh, this lovely condo for $600 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. Covid 19 Update Our apartments are now open again and we are ready to welcome our guests back. Edinburgh is also ready to welcome guests again. We want you to be able to book with confidence so we are guaranteeing a FULL refund if your booking has to be cancelled due to flight cancellations or any lockdowns in Edinburgh. This applies to bookings from July 2020 onwards. We have also updated our welcome packs to include facemasks, sanitiser and extra cleaning products. All of our apartment utilise key safes so are contact free. We look forward to welcoming you to our apartment soon. This apartment is on the first floor which makes it ideal for easy access. Bread St is surrounded by a variety of shops/cafes/pubs and restaurants. The apartment is large, bright and clean and provides a great location to explore the many attractions nearby. There are 2 large double rooms within the apartment and one of them has a large sofa bed suitable for extra guests. Both rooms have flatscreen TV’s, freeview and DVD players. The kitchen has all the facilities and equipment you need to fully self cater including a table for dining, flatscreen TV and integrated dishwasher. There is a separate utility room with a washing machine and tumble dryer. For ease of parking, there is a multi storey car park within a 2 minute walk of the apartment, although there is no real requirement for a car, as you could not get more central than this apartment which is right in the city centre. All towels, bedding, etc are supplied. Recently fully renovated and includes free high speed wireless broadband. Entry is anytime after 1pm. Check out is by 10am. All bookings are based on sharing. Early arrival and late check out can be arranged with additional cost will be determined by circumstance. Bookings are based on sharing.

Everything was good. Easy check-in with early check- in for an extra £15, very central. A bit loud but it was ok. A little too small for 6 persons but we were just sleeping there.
The couch was a little old and not suitable for adults…
And the apartment was not very clean…

Great location close to main attractions of the city. Easy access to public transportation via short walk. Lots of restaurants, cafes and grocery nearby. Full laundry in apartment was a bonus to have.
The place was tidy, however the high traffic touch areas on the walls and doors could use a deep cleaning.
Overall a wonderful place to stay for our 5 days.

The location, two separate bedrooms with comfortable big beds were a big plus. But best of all was the washer & DRYER! Most apartments I’ve rented have a washer, but no dryer. Only suggestion is to provide more towels. We’d stay here again if we return to Edinburgh.

Being from the states, we forgot that the first floor overseas is NOT the ground floor. We had very heavy luggage and there is no lift. So we three 60+ women had to find a way to get it all up 27 steps! The apartment has wonderful beds! But there is no living room, as it appears in the pictures. The couch is in one of the bedrooms. The kitchen was adequate - we didn't do any cooking but there is a dishwasher and appliances to make tea and coffee. The bathroom is large, but I would recommend some kind of non-slip mat for the shower as the tub is very slippery. The washer/dryer worked well.
There was a lot of graffiti outside the apartment, but once inside we felt safe. There was a lot of trash on the street outside the apartment so leaving the windows open wasn't an option. There was a Hop On/Hop Off bus stop right across the street, which was very convenient.

Our Four-day Stay in Edinburgh

Be prepared to purchase a few extra supplies if you are planning on using the kitchen during your stay. The beds are very comfortable with down comforters that will keep you toasty warm. One thing to note if your not use to staying in the heart of a city is the pedestrian and street noise you will hear. The flat is near the corner of a busy road. It is not too bad, just something to note so you are aware you will not be staying in a quiet residential location. However that does mean there are lots of restaurants, shops, and theatres right around the corner.

Great location, clean, and bright.
We loved this location. Short walk to Edinburgh Castle and many other attractions, restaurants, and pubs on our list. We made good use of the wonderful kitchen facilities. Sleeping arrangements were great and this unit would have easily accommodated two couples. Nice bathroom. The washer and dryer were a plus. We would consider this unit on another trip to Edinburgh.

Property was convenient well equipped, clean and roomy. Loved the laundry option.
Had some trouble getting keylock instructions. Needed more advanced info than the day of arrival because we were travelling and had limited access to wifi the day of. Caused us a bit of stress.

Convenient and Comfortable
The apartment is in a great location, close to restaurants and grocery stores. We were able to explore the city easily on foot. Enjoyed our visit immensely!
Barry provided directions with photos, which made it easier to find the apartment. Without photos it would have been difficult. There was a self entry system, so we were able to arrive at our convenience. The apartment had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable and the apartment was clean. Would recommend.

Good and safe location, clean, good restaurants nearby
The apartment was exactly as advertised by VRBO. Everything worked. Right in Old Town but really close to the Royal Mile, numerous reasonably priced restaurants nearby. The unit is cramped for a family of five but we had no issues with the size except when we tried to eat together. Since we ate at local restaurants for lunch and dinner this was not a problem. We felt very safe and enjoyed the open windows at night to cool us off from our July visit. Plenty of hot water for all of us to shower in the morning or evening and nice clean towels. Highly recommend this location for proximity to Edinburgh Castle and all of the shops along the Royal Mile. Washer and Dryer stackable unit worked perfectly. The neighbors were quiet and we never saw them. It would be nice if the owner kept a book with local tips and recommendations for groceries and dining options. We used one of our iPhones with data to get ratings for local eateries paired with Trip Advisor reviews and were never disappointed. The Japanese restaurant right across the street from the unit was a favorite for all of us. Cobble stone streets are hard on luggage wheels so make sure your gear can handle some rough terrain. We never met the owner/agent but never needed to. The keys were left for us in a key safe on the door since we were late on our transfer train from Glasgow. Check out was very easy. Owner/agent did communicate via e-mail and text message with quick responses. Highly recommend for the price and location.

Lovely accommodation!
This apartment was wonderful in every way for our family of 4. Everything we needed was provided. It had the perfect location, as we were close to restaurants, stores, attractions, etc. that always felt safe and welcoming. Barry was easy to reach regarding check-in/check-out.
It was a fabulous place to stay and make memories while in a beautiful city. We can't wait to stay again!

Lovely Apartment
We were very pleased with our stay in this beautiful apartment. The beds were fresh, clean and very comfortable. It was great to have a kitchenette. We felt very safe behind two locked doors. A Starbucks was right across the street. We highly recommend this stay.

Rethinking VRBO
Although the appearance and amenities were great someone broke in to the flat using a key. The owner came to change the lock and was attentive. Flat was not in a bad neighborhood and it was very convenient but since this may become more common with VRBO I will not stay in one again.

Close to the castle and pubs
Love the location and place. Really high ceilings and lots of light. Castle was 10 min walk. Only thing was that you don’t really have a sitting area but we made it work.
