At Beach Happy you'll enjoy a spotless, family-friendly home with lots of outdoor living space and a brand new hot tub for 2023. 3br/2ba home has an open floor plan, a cozy cottage-inspired style and a fully-equipped kitchen and grill ready for entertaining. A short 15 minute walk to the beach via the 20th Street scenic walkway, or drive 3 minutes and take advantage of ample public beach parking. Sunday-to-Sunday weekly rentals requested June through August. We loved staying at this property! This was our first time in Oak Island and it didn’t disappoint. From the moment we checked in, this house was perfect for our two families. Great house
The house is as very nice and was probably the cleanest rental I have ever stayed in. The location is good and only a 5 min drive to beach (parking is always available). It’s really an ideal place for families such as mine with young kids (outside shower, bunk beds, great kitchen, enclosed porch). I highly recommend.
One tip for future renters is to check if boardwalks are open before trying to walk from the house to the beach. The closest boardwalk was closed for repairs the full week while we were there and the other access points over the marsh to the beach are a longer walk or bike ride if you have little kids (bikes not allowed on boardwalk). It’s still a great location close to the beach but you just may just want to drive to boardwalk to check that it’s open.

Beautiful family home, very clean! Really the perfect place for us to stay with two little ones. My son loved the bunk beds and both boys loved playing with the toys. Easy access to the beaches close by. We also enjoyed checking out the lighthouse (from a distance due to COVID). Would definitely recommend this place as a lovely place to stay when in Oak Island... in fact, I already have! :)

With the pandemic we wanted to find a house close to the beach. This house was great and a perfect fit. The host was fantastic. She told us that she does the same. We each got a room with good wifi. Then at the end of each day we drove a short distance to a great beack at the end on Oak Island. We could not walk to the beack because they were removing sand from a prior high tide caused by a hurricane. But this made us discover this new beach which was awesome. Great swimming and excellent house is what we'll remember from this stay.Marc

We could not walk to the beack because they were removing sand from a prior high tide caused by a hurricane. But this made us discover this new beach which was awesome. Great swimming and excellent house is what we'll remember from this stay.

Beach weekend
I arrived on a Sunday afternoon. The house was just as described.. beautiful inside and out! Bed was comfortable, and the really you couldn't ask for a nicer place to stay on Oak Island. The walk to the beach was incredible too! It's about 15 minutes and you get to see Egrets, pelicans.. just wonderful. I would love to stay here again! Thanks Jessica and Aaron!

Accurately portrayed online. The house is gorgeous. It is clean and open and the screened in porch was a favorite spot. The blocks were a big hit for our two year old. The cleaning crew deserves a tip!! The house was in tip top shape and very very clean! 👍�🏼�👍�🏼� Great location and easy access to public walkway at 20th street, beautiful view of sunset there. We would book this again. Would love to come back to Oak Island! Great family weekend.

Cheerful & clean
Our family enjoyed staying here for vacation. It was very beautifully decorated, clean and had everything we needed. We used the grill and ate in some, and the kitchen was well stocked and the kids loved the kid dishes. They also enjoyed the bunk beds and toys! The walk to the beach was maybe 15 minutes, and thankfully we brought a trailer that held the kids and our beach stuff. The mattress (in the master bedroom; didn't try the other bedroom) and pillows weren't the most comfortable, but that's the only negative. Thanks for a fun vacation!

Perfect vacation
This is a beautiful home. We loved having a newer place to stay even though it was a little bit further from the beach. We rented a golf cart and made it fun to get to the beach each day. We will come back again for sure. Thanks for the great space!

Gorgeous home, everything you need for a great vacation!
This home was super clean, fresh and well-stocked with everything you would need for a great vacation! The perfect amount of space for our family of 6! We loved being able to cook most of our meals and even utilize the grill, out on the back deck! Having an outdoor shower was a huge plus! The living room closet is stocked with board games and there’s even a few toys in the room with bunks!
This whole area is beautiful! Close enough that we could walk to the beach, when we were feeling adventurous, but there is also plenty of parking along the beach strand, when we just felt like driving. We enjoyed visiting the Oak Island lighthouse, searching for shells on Caswell Beach and going to Southport, where you can find plenty of shopping, restaurants, the maritime museum and a public park with benches, swings and the city pier! We also hopped on the ferry and went to the aquarium at Fort Fisher!
On Oak Island, there are plenty of cool gift shops and ice cream galore! We enjoyed dinner at Shagger Jacks and ice cream at Lil & John’s Sweetreat and OKI Scoop Shop and Donuts! So many places to try out! Sunset Slush was one of the kids favorites!
The owners of this beautiful home made sure to include plenty of recommendations of places to go and things to do! Thank you for sharing your beach house with us! We’ll definitely be back!

Excellent House
We had a great stay at Beach Happy! Oak Island and some of the surrounding towns (Sothport and Wilmington) were awesome to explore. We found lots of fantastic places to eat and things to do. The house was beautiful and was a short walk from the beach. The house was well stocked, the owners were very responsive, and Oak Island had a lot to discover!
