Well-Appointed, Perfectly Situated Unit. This bright and airy second-floor Harbourside I villa offers AMAZING HARBOR VIEWS from its balcony. Shelter Cove is a Mediterranean-style village located on the harbor across the street from Palmetto Dunes. More than a dozen restaurants and boutiques line the beautifully landscaped marina, where you can walk to breakfast, lunch or dinner; enjoy live music; shop; rent a boat or a kayak or book a fishing or a sightseeing excursion. Or just kick back, enjoy your wine or coffee, throw fish or steaks on the grill, all-the-while enjoying the incredible sunset views amongst the bright flowers and host of private yachts. Best of both worlds: Shelter Cove offers everything from fine dining to family-orientated water-front cafes and Mexican fare. Guests of this villa can walk downstairs for a cup of coffee glass or a wine at Bistro 17, enjoy a white-tablecloth meal inside at Ela's On the Water, take advantage of great Happy Hour drinks and live music at San Miguel's or catch spectacular sunset dining views at outdoor tables at Scott's Seafood or Bucci & Murray’s Pub on the Harbour--all within sight of the villa. On Tuesday nights, the balcony is the place to be as Shelter Cove becomes the island's most popular destination with free live music and fireworks. But all back to peace and quiet by 10:00 p.m. Fun and relaxing at the same time: The best of both worlds. Completely Renovated: The bright and airy second-floor villa has floor-to-ceiling windows; a newly renovated kitchen with granite, tumbled stone and European stainless-steel appliances; tile floors throughout the common area; newly carpeted bedrooms, and updated bathrooms. The master bedroom with an extremely comfortable hybrid mattress king-sized bed overlooks the harbor, while the front bedroom, with two full-sized beds, overlooks the pool area. The den has a top of the line LG OLED TV with an advanced-component sound system that includes AppleTV player hookups, so you can listen to your own music on this awesome system. The dining room table seats six, while the breakfast bar accommodates another three for meals. An outdoor high-top table on the covered balcony is the best location for sunset gatherings or early-morning coffee. Overall, the upscale decor has a beach theme using sunset colors, wicker, glass and a mix of light woods against newly painted neutral walls. Calm and relaxing feel, through and through. So much to do...without a car: Nowhere on the island offers more to do, without driving anywhere! Enjoy the building's private pool, located within the gated grounds. And since Shelter Cove is part of Palmetto Dunes, guests have access to Palmetto Dunes for beach, golf (All 3 courses at Palmetto Dunes have been rated an outstanding four stars or more by Fodor’s Golf Digest Places to Play.) and tennis (Ranked Top 25 Tennis Resorts in the World by Tennis Online Resorts). Guests also have free use of the owner's four beach bikes for the duration of their stay. Beach access for Shelter Cove guests is a one-mile bike ride away along paths under 278 and through Palmetto Dunes, or it can be accessed by car or the Palmetto Dunes Beach Buggy. The Buggy is a free shuttle service available to Shelter Cove guests during season that takes you to the beach, the grocery store or the mall, so you don't have to step foot in your car from the time you arrive until you are ready to depart. Within five minute walk from the villa, you have access to dining, entertainment, canoeing, kayaking, dolphin cruise, sunset cruise, dinner cruise, charter fishing and much much more!

Only surprise was no beach towels as well equipped as the condo is.

We booked a last minute vacation before our children went back to school, and we were lucky enough to find this beautiful condo on Hilton Head. Byron was very attentive to all our questions from the day we booked, and all throughout our stay. Perfect location for dining out, nightly entertainment, beach access, and exploring the island. We will definitely return!

We had an excellent experience! Everything that was listed was there and then some. The condo was very clean; didn't feel worn, as many places do when they are this popular; the kitchen had everything one might need, except plastic wrap and plastic bags (if you use those); the theater-like experience of the TV was really impressive, especially to my teens; the check -in/-out process was seamless, including the car pass; the location/view for Tuesday night fireworks was perfect; the bikes that are included were appreciated and saved us the time and money of renting them. We did not use the shuttle bus, since we found it easier to drive. The many positive reviews are warranted for this condo and the owner. Byron has thought of everything for your stay, and if he hasn't he will go the extra mile to make it a nice stay for you. I wouldn't hesitate to book again.

What a wonderful property! The views are amazing, we started every day with breakfast on the balcony and ended each day with drinks while watching the sunset! The space had everything we needed and comfortable beds.
It was spotless upon arrival. All the little touches like linens, bikes and starters of all the paper products and detergents were awesome.
You can not beat the location of this place. We walked to restaurants and shops. It was a fun town center, hearing live music on the balcony was enjoyable and then at 10 pm, all was quiet. The TV system is next level, sounds like you're in the movie theater!
In season, the trolley and Dunes Buggy take you all over the place which was wonderful for limited beach parking. Byron answered my emails and texts promptly, but it was so well appointed, I only had to reach out about pool access while we were there and the pool was just right after hot and successful days of fishing (charters are right in the marina).
I am definitely booking this unit again. Amazing!

This rental was 100% awesome for our family (teens). The location can’t be beat and the view is to die for. The boats in the harbor are beautiful. We enjoyed biking to the Marriot for pool and beach usage. Evenings were spent at the Disney Resort’s pier and hammocks. The unit had everything we needed for cooking. Beds were very comfortable. Very large condo for a family of four. Great vacation!!!

The condo was a perfect spot for our family vacation. Shelter Cove has a little of everything and served as an ideal home base for our island adventures. Byron was great and the check in process could not have been easier. We can’t wait to get back to HH!

Loved having coffee outside every morning overlooking the marina. Plus easy view for fireworks on Tuesday night.

We could not have loved it more. Upon arrival, I had a few questions and Byron was so quick to respond. The condo has everything we could need and was spotless. The beds were so comfy we all want the same mattresses at home now. The view from the balcony is spectacular. There is nothing like watching the boats and people enjoy the marina while soft jazz is played by a local business. It’s perfect. We love the close proximity of San Miguel’s restaurant and bar, ice cream/fudge shop etc., Neptune statue is the perfect spot to catch the Dune Buggy and never move the car. We also recommend Hudson’s and Poseiden for local eats. Coligny was fun shopping and we also squeezed in jet skiing, kayaking, dolphin cruises and morning walks to the general store (best lunch ever) in palmetto dunes in between the beach and the pool. It was all located so convenient to this beautiful condo. I cannot say enough about this beautiful property. We cannot wait to book our next trip.

Had a great time with myself, husband, and two kids (5 and 2). Very close to everything at Shelter Cove and you can keep and eye on how long the line is for Hilton Head Social Bakery - highly recommend trying! Gorgeous views of the marina and easy to get to 278 to get to everything else. We loved that Kroger and Whole Foods was so close!

We were a little concerned with staying somewhere that was not on the beach. We have never been to the coast and not stayed directly on the beach. We couldn't have been more wrong. The cove view was a nice change of speed and so convenient being able to walk down 2 flights of stairs to bars and restaurants.
Byron was more than accommodating and answered every single question I had. He was very polite and we could tell he definitely cares about the people staying at his place.
Upon arrival the place was SPOTLESS. The condo had everything we needed to cook all week and the bikes and beach chairs were a huge plus. The bike ride to the beach was no longer than 10 mins and we enjoyed the ride!
I would definitely recommend staying here and know that you will love it as much as we did!!!

Perfect Getaway Condo
Our family (includes two children age 7 and 9) loved our getaway! The condo is a perfect location at Shelter Cove. A very convenient spot on HHI! You can walk to dinner with restaurants steps from the condo. The beach is a very short car ride across the street in Palmetto Dunes. Definitely check out The Social Bakery below the condo—amazing pastries. Loved the vibe of this area. The condo was very comfortable, clean and well appointed. We have rented houses in Sea Pines, condos in the Harbor Town area and Palmetto Dunes in the past. We would definitely stay at Shelter Cove and rent this condo again!

Best views in Hilton Head!!
The pictures could never capture the atmosphere of your stay here. I would choose harbor views over ocean view any day after staying here. The patio is amazing and offers gorgeous views and light jazz music all day from nearby restaurants. Coffee every morning on the patio was exactly the serenity I needed.
When this listing says everything is nearby - they mean it! We walked out of our room and caught a fishing boat for the evening with Captain Hook’s and my son caught shark and stingray! Kayak and pontoon rentals are also just a few steps away. Shops and restaurants galore at your doorstep. Bikes are included with rental - we biked to nearby putt putt and enjoyed family time as this area is very bike friendly.
Grocery store is less than a minute away. Beach is either a short bike ride or very short drive. Parking is easy and very accessible to beach so you don’t have to drag all things very far.
The pool was steps from the door and was NEVER crowded.
Minutes drive from condo you will find the lighthouse, a pirate cruise for the kids and shops. Tanger outlets less than 20 mins away.
I could go on and on! Condo was very clean, beds super comfy and we found extras when we needed them! Owner is great to work with and communication was fast and easy. Thanks so much for a great stay! We can’t wait to come Back!

We had a blast in Hilton Head. Byron's unit is perfect for my family. The layout of the unit is perfect... the deck is the best part.... Just to sit out and watch the boats go by is the best. The unit has everything you need. Including bikes and beach chairs... Beds were super comfortable. Shelter Cove is super cool with shops and restaurants just below. Can't wait to get back!!!! This Property is a GREAT choice!
My husband and I recently stayed at this property with our 5 year old daughter and I truly cannot say enough nice things about it. The views were spectacular. We had a great time watching the boats every day and the location itself was absolutely ideal. We were able to walk to any restaurants that we wanted and to the bakery downstairs for a fresh baguette when we cooked in. The Dunes Buggy is very fast and convenient and the pool is just outside the back window. Byron definitely made the process easy and was available with any questions or concerns with a simple text. We would definitely give this property two big thumbs up all around! You should go!!

Home away from home
My husband, 2 teenage boy’s, and I enjoyed 10 nights at the condo on the water and it was fantastic. Great location! Beautiful view of the harbor. Delicious, close dining options. Kroger close by for all the grocery needs. Beautiful beach and easy access. The condo fit our needs to a T. Has everything you would want and more. Byron was great to work with and we would definitely book again. Hilton Head has become our favorite destination for a fun family getaway. Great place to unplug and enjoy everything HH has to offer.

Shelter Cove
Overall our experience with renting at Shelter Cove was a good one. Cost of the parking pas was almost 3 times what the owner told us, and personally for the cost of the rental I would think that shouldve been included. The beach chairs were rusted and one broken so hopefully no one gets hurt using them. Other then that the location was great, especially for a golfer. Plenty of wonderful restaurants of all price ranges and plenty of water activities if the weather cooperates.
