Central, good transport links, one of the cheapest, good bathroom, basic room, not for the unfit

Great location, within walking distance to centre, close to tram, metro and bus stops. In a typical old Amsterdam building. It had a kettle and coffee/tea in the room. Small but clean and adequate bathroom with a shower an suite. Small, working TV with remote working well.

As in these old Dutch buildings, the staircase was steep, with narrow treads in some spots - not for folk with mobility problems, no lift. Obviously not wheelchair friendly. The room was tiny - you could not do much more than sleep in it. We were woken in the middle of the night by another guest opening our door with a key-card. Not sure what happened - duplicate keycard, or booking mistake? Quite expensive, but that is Amsterdam on a long weekend, despite being one of the cheapest hotels for the dates we were there. Will I go again? Only if I cannot find anything better for a reasonable price, but at a push - yes I will go again.

Functioneel net hotel in hartje Amsterdam.

Bedden waren echt goed. Goed schoon hotel. Alle faciliteiten van een hotelkamer waren aanwezig. Was niet groot, maar dat wist ik vantevoren. Op verzoek ontbijt (simpel maar goed).

Dat er geen lift was.

Is verder prima voor een overnachting als ik naar Carre ga

Er waren in de kamer naast mij luidruchtige gasten die nog tot laat aan het kletsen etcetera waren waardoor ik.niet kon slapen

Disappointing

Very Good location. Nice design: they used Cyrillic fonts for all signs - that is fun to read.

Many things are broken in the room: outlets, toilet brush. Bed is uncomfortable: mattress sliding down from bed. I got my room on the 5th floor. There is no elevator: no big problem for me, but lifting bags was not easy exercise.

Location was great. Close to the heart of the city. Restaurants all abound.

Great location, but no sleep

Kind staff, great location

Very noisy - windows and walls are super thin so you hear everything from everyone. People come in and out the entire night from going out. Not the best place to stay if you are on a work trip

really near centre and transports. I walked easily to everywhere

Not the best facilities & no ac in the room. It was a really hot week and struggled to get the room ventilated. the shower is really small and when you shower the water goes through the doors

Very pleasant stay - staff were super helpful and accomadating. Room was clean and location was great.

The reception area and downstairs were up market and smart.

Nice comfortable place and a great location

If you think that the croissants and the prepackaged items are complimentary, there not. The only thing you won't get charged for is the coffee. That is all fine but I wish there was a sign or some clarification.

excellent…staff were amazing! we were there as a hen party and the wonderful lady on reception brought the bride to be a

very clean, family room was a great size, location was perfect was able to walk right into the centre and plenty of public transport.

no elevator and steep stairs but we were aware of this when booking and it wasn’t an issue.

Property was in a great location, easy to get Ubers and we were also walking distance from most places.

The shower in the bedroom had a missing door and that made showering a huge mess.

The location was good. it only 5 min walk from the Waterloo metro station.

The hotel itself was very bad. It's very small and you need to pay another 3 euro at the reception for unknown. Walls and floors in the room were broken . No kettle so you can not make a coffee or tea.

I paid for a large double room but got a very small room which didn't match the photos. asked the staff they said the photos don't match the reservations and they only had that room available

The Hermitage Hotel is a perfect place to see a perfect city. Stay as long as you can!

We loved our room that overlooked the canal. The bathroom was totally modern and renovated. We also loved our location, we were 2 streets away from one of the largest city centers, so we were close enough to walk, and far enough to have a quiet night. The staff was really helpful and always available, 24/7. We were also on the same block as several points of interest such as the Jewish Monument, Ballet Forum, and The Hermitage Museum. We were also 3 blocks from the Metro and bus stop.

The hotel doesn't have an elevator, which isn't uncommon for the area, but we were climbing several flights of stairs a day. While we were really disappointed at first, I will say, we had no trouble during our stay and we definitely would stay here again based on the value for the money. If you are not unable to take stairs, it is well worth it.

A beautiful building with some quirks

central location, with lots of things to see within a reasonable walk 👍 The staff was very friendly and competent! The house itself is quite cute as it is very old and represents the charme of Amsterdam's historic center

The walls seem to be very thin as you can almost hear every everything through them. The shower (at least in our room) was either steaming hot or very cold. Very hard to adjust the heat to a good temperature. Besides, the hair dryer didn't really work (very weak air blow and only cold air coming out of it).
