Sliding-glass doors lead to a large covered deck where you can sip coffee in your rocking chair before you start your day. You’ll be eager to dip into the hot tub on this deck to soak those aching muscles after a great day of sightseeing or hiking. The laundry room on this level is nicely equipped with a large-capacity Maytag washer and dryer to dry your suits after a dip in the hot tub or in any of our three summertime Chalet Village swimming pools, or just to freshen up during an extended stay. Ironing may not be your idea of fun while on vacation, but we’ve got you covered. We have an iron and full-size ironing board set up for you, just in case. The main level upstairs showcases the towering timber-frame architecture of the great room. This lofty space was designed and decorated to reflect the majesty of the Smoky Mountains. The gourmet kitchen is stocked with about every gadget and gizmo a chef could ever want. No expense has been spared in this heart of the home. Granite counters, stainless steel appliances including a microwave/convection oven and gas range. There is plenty of room to dine for you and your party. Besides the spacious island with seating for three, there are two additional seating areas, one in the breakfast nook, and one along a bank of windows with sweeping views toward the mountain range. After that big meal you’ll probably want to lounge on the comfy sofa basking in the glow of the stone gas-log fireplace. Above the mantle is another large screen TV to catch a game or your favorite show. You’ll likely be drawn outside though to the Adirondack rocking chairs and glider on the huge main deck. The grill master in your group will want to fire up some burgers or steaks on the grill we’ve provided. Back inside, you’ll find the barn wood king master suite with deck access. It has a luxurious private bath with a walk-in shower, two big closets for your belongings, and another TV. There’s an additional half bath down the hall. The most spectacular views are found on the top level. A tastefully-appointed third bedroom awaits with a hickory wagon wheel queen bedroom set, TV, closet, and shared bathroom with walk-in shower. This may be our home’s coziest resting space, with a rocking chair next to the windows showcasing the expanse of the magnificent Smokies. Also on this level is a massive loft bedroom area, complete with two twin-over-full bunk beds overlooking the towering beams and picturesque windows of the great room. Whether you seek adventure or just a place to relax and decompress, we work hard to provide you with a worry-free vacation home that blends in harmony with the natural beauty of the Smokies. Frequently Asked Questions: Mountain Driving: This is a mountain vacation to a cabin with a view. Roads will reflect that, and as such, are sometimes an understandable anxiety issue for unfamiliar travelers, so we recommend taking it slow and after a couple trips up and down the mountain to the cabin, their comfort level normally relaxes. Driveway is initially steep but guests can take comfort that a wide variety of drivers and vehicles have come up the driveway without issue, everything from Chevy Suburbans to U-Hauls and trailers, big dually trucks, vans, large service vehicles, and a Prius. In winter, 4WD or tire chains are a standard for the snow or ice in this area. We are unable to refund due to weather/road conditions. Final Thought: if you sincerely have a fear of mountain driving, do not book this cabin. Supplies/Incidentals: We supply linens for beds, and bath towels, hand towels, and wash cloths for each guest. Household supplies include 1 roll of paper towels, small dish detergent, dishwasher pods, 1 laundry detergent pod, 1 kitchen trash bags per night stay, liquid hand soap, 2 rolls of toilet paper per bathroom, and a small bottle of shampoo in each shower. Kitchen: The kitchen is well stocked with enough pots, pans, dishes, appliances, and utensils to support a typical Thanksgiving style meal for 12, to include a roasting pan, slow cooker, Pyrex, measuring cups/spoons, blender, Keurig, and coffee and tea pot. Address, door entry codes: We provide the cabin address in our welcome message 2 days prior to arrival. A code for the electronic lockbox for the entry door is provided the night before arrival. Check in/Check out: Check in after 4:00 pm. Check out before 10:00 am. Fabulous cabin. Realized while there that had we stayed south of gatlinburg we would have had to drive through gatlinburg to get anywhere. That would have been horrible. As for cabin, well stocked kitchen, wonderfully comfortable beds. Views to die for. Separate bar. Perfect for us.

We had a lovely family vacation staying at this beautiful chalet. There was plenty of room for all 10 of us, which is a plus. Everyone had such a fun, relaxing time. Dan & Jolene are excellent hosts. They responded promptly anytime I had a question. Check this property out. You will glad you did.

If I could rate this property higher than five stars I would. This is by far the cleanest property we have ever rented through VRBO!! It was beautiful and just like all the pictures. Nice beds and very comfortable furniture. It was just what we needed for an extended family vacation. The views were incredible and a good location being between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. The road leading up to the house and the driveway are very steep but by the end of the week we were kinda used to it. We are from flat corn country so it was kinda a shock when we arrived. The owners were super fast in replying when I had a couple questions. Would definitely rent this house again if I needed a large space!!

Great home. The kids had their own space when needed, yet the common areas were large enough that we could all be together for game and meal time. Beautiful porches with great views. The location is perfect. Easy quick drive to both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Would definitely stay here again.

My family and some friends stayed here for 5 days (mid-June). House is high in the sky and away from Gatlinburg bustle - just how we like it. Good access to the park by-pass so we didn’t need to drive through Gatlinburg, although I didn’t consider the town to be overly congested while we were there - i.e., relative to previous visits. The park on the other hand . . . The house was accurately described on the VRBO site with respect to location, amenities, etc. It’s well laid out, with sleeping accommodations on each of the 3 floors. The gas grill is on the 2nd floor, away from the bears, of which there were 5 sightings. (One came by while my sister-in-law was in the hot tub) Dan and Joleen are great hosts and very active communicators. I highly recommend this property as “home base” for your mountain activities in the area. sg

We booked last minute and the hosts couldn’t have been more helpful and accommodating. They provided lots of great info prior to our arrival. The cabin was beautiful and immaculate. Perfect location-even a trolley stop very close to the cabin.

The description on this home is very accurate and exceeded our expectations. Very clean, big, updated decor, centrally located, but away from the traffic and crowds. It has everything you would need to just take a break from enjoying the area and even grill or cook for a family. The Mountain View’s are picturesque and you do see a lot of wildlife, we even saw a family of bears from the balcony. The owners were in contact making sure we had everything we needed. The driveway seemed steep, but really read the directions to access it and it won’t take long to get used to it. We would definitely stay here again.
