Would definitely stay here again. Very clean, elegant, and updated, plus a great location accessible to public transport (right near the Arlington T-stop). The fitness center is a HUGE plus - a full-service, standalone gym next/connected to the hotel that Bostonians actually pay memberships for, but to which hotel guests have free access. I would stay just for that alone. They should really advertise it more on their website for people like me who are specifically looking for as comprehensive of gyms as possible. The connected Starbucks is always a plus too.

The staff is very nice and helpful. Great location. My room was clean except the bedding had marks on them the first day but they changed them when I asked. There is definitely wear to the room eg the bathroom door didn't close easily but overall it was very nice. I only missed a proper blackout curtain as the room got bright quite early.
The biggest annoying thing is they charge the resort fee but the restaurant does not have capacity to handle all the breakfast guests. The wait for a table was 20-30+ minutes and that was on a weekday. I wish it was refundable if you didn't use it.

The room was nice but extremely far away from the elevators. There was food outside of my hotel room when I checked into it

The hotel was clean. Staff was polite and friendly. Efficient service. The only issue was the amount of street noise you could hear day and night.

The lobby was almost tasteful but fell short and did not have enough servers or seating for the volume of guests. Very dark and loud music - just not great. I visited this hotel for many years and it was always bright and elegant inside the lobby - not this time, and the doormen (3) did NOT help my 77 year old mother with her bag. Thumbs down!!
It’s too bad because the rooms are nice and the location is great.

The service was great and the room was clean and lovely...but we had a connecting door and it had zero sound proofing. Maybe its not so bad if your family
/friends have a connecting room, but we could hear full-blown conversations at night and it kept me up. It didn't ruin our otherwise lovely stay, but I wish I'd known prior.

I wasn't impressed at all. Highly overrated prices for the service you get. The racist hostess at Common made it incredibly unpleasant.

The hotel was nice, bed was not as comfortable as some other hotels I stay at. Asked for an extra blanket and they forgot about me until I called again 20 minutes later.

Stayed here for a weekend getaway. Upon arrival we were greeted with smiling faces. Peter completed our check in and was very personable. He gave amazing food recommendations that did not disappoint. The hotel is in a great location. Easy to walk to many different attractions. The room was clean and spacious. Highly recommend and would stay again!

The girl who checked me in was very nice and helpful. Employees were all very nice. Bathroom was run down. Room was tiny. Location was good. Resort fee is beyond ridiculous and the reason I will look elsewhere next time.

The hotel was in a convenient location to Boston Common. Clean and well maintained. Our room (superior King) was very small. We could hear the people in the room next door talking as if they were in our room—paper thin walls.

Hotel lobby was deluxe, but there are no refreshments. In our room, the refrigerator was not working and bathtub was old and paints was off and looked dirty.
Most of hotels offer a bottle of water but your hotel doesn’t.

Clean and quiet but room was definitely as they said, "quite small". But could probably stay they again. Thnx

The staff was amazing and the location is perfect. Only complaints are that it felt like the room could use a new coat of paint and the toilet wouldn't take the toilet paper when it flushed.

We got to our "wicked small" room & it was actually not small really at all!

It was a rough beginning to the trip. Long lines at the check-in, with only four agents at the desk. We were in line for about twenty minutes to reach the check in desk, and another fifteen to get checked in. We reserved a room that was advertised as sleeps three. Based on this description, I anticipated needing to request a rollaway bed for our teenage son. I requested it at check in. When we arrived in the room we realized that it was so small that a rollaway would not fit. An attendant arrived with the rollaway and confirmed that it would not fit in the room. I called the desk to change to a room that would sleep three, as I had paid for. The person at the desk told me that I would have to go down to the desk to make this change. I went down and had to stand in line for another thirty minutes. When I got to the desk, they tried to upsell me to a larger room. I finally got a room that sleeps three, but the hotel would do nothing to help us move or compensate us for the inconvenience and loss of most of an evening in Boston. It took another thirty minutes for the attendant to receive the new room number and bring the bed.
It would have made a huge difference to receive an apology, some help moving to another room, a direct line to an agent to make the change, or at least a free drink and appetizer in the restaurant.
I felt like I worked on the property that first evening. No compassion. Disappointing and frustrating.

We were very disappointed in our stay. We had to switch our room due to the first one being dirty. What was odd however is we tried to call the front desk multiple times from the two rooms but the line kept ringing for minutes. We went downstairs as we thought perhaps it was busy but I found 4 people at the front desk just standing around.
We stayed up until 2:15am due to noise from the next door neighbor who seemed to be throwing a party. We tried calling the front desk but again there was no answer so I unfortunately called the hotel emergency line, which thankfully answered. The noise from the room next door also woke us up around 6:45am as we could hear (unnecessary intimate) noise from their room. The walls are paper thin.
There is also a 2” gap below the rooms entry door, so anytime the elevator stops on the floor, or someone walks by we could hear it. The gap also lets in a lot of light. We ended up sleeping with earplugs and put some towels under the door the second night to minimize the noise. I added a photo of the gap under the door for reference.
The hotel offered to waive our resort fee for one night for the inconvenience, but it’s so minimal compared to the cost we paid as well as the complete lack of sleep that it first night. Overall we were very disappointed in the stay, and shocked because it’s considered a 4 star hotel. We will not be returning.

Convenient location. Only issue I had was the loudness of the elevators running. Wasn’t able to sleep well because I could hear the noise from my room every 3 or 5 mins.

This is a very busy hotel with an industrial style to it.
Didn't love that they added a $40 resort fee.
It was nice to get a drink in the hotel bar after seeing a play. Room was fine if somewhat sterile, bed was very comfortable.

We did not have the best experience at this hotel. It is nice on the outside and in the lobby, the rooms were subpar. My friends and I were in Boston for a conference and booked 2 superior rooms with king beds. However, the rooms were not as expected. There was pretty limited space and the beds themselves seemed more like queen-sized beds. When we asked to be moved to another room for more space and a bigger bed, we were given an even smaller bed. The rooms were not as clean as expected either. For instance, there were strange stains on the shower curtains in one of the rooms and on the bedsheets in another room. The staff members at the hotel varied on their quality of service. Some were very helpful, like the man who helped set up our cots. Yet, other were not, like some of the people who worked in housekeeping or were working at the front desk. They did not provide us with clear answers. For instance, we had called weeks ago to ask about an charges the cots would have and the staff member ensured us that there would be no charges. Yet, when we asked in-person, the staff member said there would be charges and then took it back when we mentioned the call. In addition, one of the room's refrigerators did not work. Overall, we were fairly disappointed in the quality of service at this hotel.

We had a great stay! Was so convenient to every thing! Subway was nearby and made it even easier for us to get around Boston. Hotel was nice, clean and friendly staff. Shampoo, body wash, and conditioner smelled amazing. Shower had good water pressure. Bed and sheets were nice and comfortable.

The heating system failed two days (out of our three night stay). Also, I selected this hotel due to the gym and paid 122 usd for a “resort fee” but my son wasn’t able to use it because he is 17 and there was a 18 year old minimum policy that was not advertised /announced when I reserved.

Not a real 4 star hotel (ex : really small and basic bathroom), but well located.

The place looked stunning, but when we got there around 6pm on a Friday, there was only one person handling a crazy-long line. I spotted other staff around, but none of them bothered to jump in at the front. And not a word from anyone to acknowledge the wait – not even a simple "Hang tight, we'll be right with you." On top of that, the accessibility room we stayed in had some serious issues. The bathroom floors were like an ice rink – we almost took a slipped twice! Plus, there was hardly any counter space for our stuff, and the curtain was busted. It was a double bed room and not enough space for two people. It's a shame because the hotel itself is gorgeous, but man, we left feeling pretty frustrated with the whole experience.
