This two-bedroom with a loft cozy cabin offers a western ambiance with spectacular views of the beautiful Cedar Forest. Located very close to the slopes of Whitefish Mountain Resort, this property offers everything a guest would need for their mountain vacation. Ptarmigan Village is a highly sought-after resort community nestled just over half way up Whitefish Mountain Resort and just minutes from downtown Whitefish, MT. With 896 square feet spread across three levels, you`ll find an open great room and kitchen on the main floor of the property. This spacious room has large picture windows facing the cedar forest, providing an incredible back drop. Featured in the center of the room sits a large stone fireplace shared by the dining area that comfortably seats 4-6 people. Please contact the reservation department for specific information. This property includes a fully equipped kitchen, with everything you need to prepare a great meal during your stay. One of the highlights of this property sits its large deck with outdoor dining and a electric BBQ. On the lower level you`ll find two Queen bedrooms. Also located on the bottom floor is a recently remodeled bathroom with a walk-in shower. Also located in the downstairs bathroom is a stackable washer and dryer. The stairs leading down to the bottom level are very steep! To get to the loft area located above the kitchen there is a ladder like staircase that leads to an additional sleeping area which contains a full-sized bed. During the winter season, Ptarmigan Village offers a shuttle service to Whitefish Mountain Resort for a small fee. Parking is free and available for a maximum of two vehicles; If you have any oversized vehicles such as Motorcycles, trailers and RV`s the Village does have room in our oversized parking areas. Please speak to our reservationist if you need assistance with parking options. Don`t forget that Ptarmigan Rentals offers many amenities to our guests, including the ability to purchase discounted ski lift ticket packages and access to all of the great village amenities including access to the indoor pool, sauna, hot tub, outdoor pool, tennis courts, private beach area and so much more. Ptarmigan Village is a spectacular location just two miles below the world-renowned Whitefish Mountain Resort ski area and a short 10-minute drive to downtown Whitefish, Montana. This unique location features unrivaled access to all of the best that Whitefish has to offer and is less than 45 minutes to Glacier National Park. During the winter months Whitefish features some of the best skiing in North America. This skier’s paradise, which boasts legendary runs like Hell Roaring Basin, Home Again, Tree Trails, and Ptarmigan Bowl which have long been known for steep terrain and abundant snowfall and was once widely considered a playground for only the hardest charging skiers and dedicated adventurers. However, in recent decades it has been transformed. With expanded intermediate and beginner terrain and multiple new lifts, and runs the Whitefish Mountain Resort has evolved to meet the needs of skiers of all abilities with over 98 trails. In addition to all the runs National Ski magazine rated Whitefish Mountain Resort as the #3 place to in the entire country! When the snow melts Whitefish Mountain becomes a summer playground home to zip lines, alpine slides, hiking, biking and so much more. The greater Whitefish area has some of the best golfing, water sports, fishing, whitewater rafting, festivals and is the gateway to Glacier National Park. Pets are not permitted in any of the Ptarmigan Rental properties during short-term rental stays. Service dogs are permitted with notification and completion of proper paperwork prior to making the reservation. Montana does not recognize Emotional Support Animals as service animals, property owners are not required to accept ESA documentation. Guests traveling with ESA or Service animals are directed to call the Ptarmigan Rentals office to inquire about options. Check in time is 4:00 pm / Check out time 10:00am

We really enjoyed our stay at Ptarmigan Village. Beautiful accommodations and conveniently located near the slopes and downtown Whitefish! Highly recommend to anyone that wants to have a great vacation in Whitefish!

I stayed with my family in this cabin for 4 nights. We had a great time, but I would say that the patio was not prepared to be outside, the furniture and bbq were all covered, and the kitchen was very unconfortable for a vacation home as I had to find the cooking ware around the kitchen cabinets, but overall it is a very nice cabin, with nice bedrooms. I think it would be perfect for winter time as it is 2 minutes from the Whitefish sky resorts, but it is a little bit too far for the summer as the entry of the park is around 30 minutes away. We had a beautiful time with my family, the cabin was perfect for our family with 3 small kids.

We loved staying at Ptarmigan Village. Everything was just right, and we were able to visit Glacier National Park, Whitefish Mountain Resort, Flathead Lake/Wild Horse Island, and Martin Falls. The unit was just right. We’ll definitely return! Patty at the main office is a GEM! Great experience, all around!
