Just overnight after Churchill Downs visit. All employees were cheerful. Oliver’s was super excellent! Best biscuits ever!
If only there were a good breakfast!…. Or any breakfast!

Service was wonderful.
Unfortunately We did not have any housekeeping service, so we didn’t even have towels to shower the second day of our stay.

Would recommend you NOT get a room on the second floor - or you're loudly sharing it with the live band (1st night) and DJ (second night)

Wow, I've stayed ina lot of hotels and this one is easily in my top 3! For the price, this is a much better hotel than a lot of Marriotts and Hilton's I've stayed in. It's super clean and the rooms are very spacious! There's free parking and restaurants on site if you want a quick bite. The beds were super comfortable and the whole room had a very luxurious feel to it. The hot water in the shower does take a while to kick in but it does work. Staff was also amazing! Anytime I'm back in Louisville l'm for sure coming back here!

This by far one of the best we have stayed out for a weekend getaway. The room was luxurious, clean, and comfy. The hotel staff were helpful and we loved the security of only being able to get off on your designated floor. The casino was nice, they were out of cups for drinks, and their atm fee was pricey but that comes with the territory. Overall definitely recommend.

The beds were not very comfortable and there was a constant dripping noise in the wall next to our bed. The music from the casino was so loud we could here it on the 5th floor we were staying at. The front desk staff not friendly and gave us next to no info about our stay. We were 3hours past check in time but was asked to havd a seat till he found out if our room was clean. Should Have been done at 3 glad we were behind schedule. We wouldnt stay again the vibe was not a very friendly one.

Booked king suit got put in double bed. Front desk nigh shift was not nice. She was short with my husband.

The hotel was very clean and gorgeous. There were some things missing that should have been in the room.... a make up mirror, some drinking glasses, an extra blanket. The inroom coffee maker didn't work well. Otherwise everything was great!

Check in was ok; didn’t offer a WiFi password at all; room was nice HOWEVER during early hours of 2/15/24, hot water went out in the entire hotel and we weren’t advised, had to call front desk and they had no eta on repair; husband had to take a cold shower before going to his uncle’s funeral. Check out never offered us some $ off our bill for the inconvenience and we could never figure out how to convert player card points into $ off room, which was too pricey and no breakfast open in the casino at 8am morning of 2/15/24. Totally not impressed!

Karen at check in was amazing and so welcoming and friendly. The room was beautiful. The shower water was just like warm but other than that, it was a great stay in a very clean and beautiful room and hotel in general.

Bar tender did not know how to make a top shelf long island, then proceeded to question my willingness to payfor it. She failed 2 times.
Got to my room and there was no hot water. Maintenance had to come dix it, yhen housekeeping hadcto clean it. It ruined the romantic experience i came for initially. The room should have been comped. I will not return unless this is rectified.

Rooms are clean no housekeeping once your in for your stay they dont give you hand soap to wash your hands at the sink!Had to go to desk and beg for some! Showers nice but hot water a problem had to get it hot! Rooms very noisy by airport hear the planes all night and day! Gambling a joke only slots have no video Roulette or craps or poker its a joke race track room a joke no programs and to cash out if lucky you win machine dosent work and cant bring voucher to cashier cause they say that part is churchill downs have to go there to collect all in all if you are a gambler stay away! Also no place there for breakfast at all!

We only stayed one night. We stayed in the luxury room. Very large room. Everything was very clean except a used bandaid that fell out of the bedding. No weird smells in the room. Hallways smell very good. Like air freshener. We didn’t get to use the casino but it’s very close to the hotel lobby. The surrounding area didn’t look very nice. This hotel is around 15 min from downtown area and 8-10 min from Kentucky expo center.

Best smelling hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Bed was comfortable. Ease of logging into Netflix. Modern, & Safe. Perfect. Had trouble with checking in but the manager was able to fix the issue immediately. 100% will stay here again!

My hotel stay was fabulous! The staff was very professional and polite, especially Pam and Brandon at the bar. They were very friendly and they made sure we got what we ordered in a timely manner. The food was hot and satisfying. I’m glad to know this hotel is in Louisville because I’ll definitely be staying again.

It seems like there were some challenges with the staff's performance during my stay. Unfortunately, the toiletries were not available in the room at the beginning, and it took almost 2 hours to receive them after requesting them.

Well check in didnt go smoothly. We arrived just after 4(check in time) and our room was not ready. Luckily.our son had a room too and his was. They took my phone # to call when ready. We had dinner plans I wanted to clean up for so I finally went down to the desk and it was ready, no phone call. But, afyer we got to our room, it was very nice and clean. The hallways smelled really good, which is very unusual for a hotel. So that was pleasant. Overall we had a great stay and would stay again.

The only complaint I had was I had to get new sheets ask for hand due to a small stain and hand soap for my room but my overall experience was great. I would stay there again. I'm glad I choose this hotel for my solo self care birthday night and the food was great as well.

Very nice. Everything seems new and up to date. We were there Christmas Eve, and unfortunately the only restaurant open was the "Fast Food" one, which was not fast at all. I guess maybe they were understaffed for the holiday? Otherwise the stay was great.

This property, I think, has 4 stars on Travelocity and to me that seems aspirational. I think it's closer to a 2.5 or maybe 3 star hotel.
My bathroom was unfortunately not very clean, particularly the floor and toilet. I do appreciate that the entire mattress was sealed in a mattress protector (more hotels should do this). It's a small thing but inside every single light switch was dark crud. I know that's hard to clean there but good lord it's nasty to be so bad you can see it.
They not only asked for my license but scanned it in a machine, which I didn't like. I can't recall any hotel I stayed at in the US (I'm a US citizen) ever doing that before. I can understand that they want to SEE it but not why it was scanned in a machine. She did it too fast for me to object. The more I think about it the more irritated I am about it. I wasn't gambling at all so I can't quite understand it.

The Derby City Hotel is such a great place to stay. This was our 2nd time staying at the hotel. The hotel is new, modern, well-kept and clean. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. The rooms are amazing. The beds are so comfortable. The restaurant food is good. The area has little or nothing to offer in terms of shopping or restaurants, but we still enjoy the hotel.
