Important: Now there is the lift in the building , some reviews are old Great apartment is located on the sixth floor of a historic building with a new lift, large private terrace and an icredibly sea view You will be staying in a clean, newly furnished, 2 bedroom /2 bathroom apt in an exclusive location with free extras and everything you need for the exciting Genoa and Riviera vacation of a lifetime. The Apartment is in the heart of Historic Center, in front of the old Harbour, you loved staying here because it is in a perfect location for tourists who wanna live like a the real Genoa, in a real flat in a real neighborhood... * double bad (indivisible) on each badroom * Prime location! Walk to museums and the wonderful Historic Center (the biggest of Europe) * Subway and buses are nearby (2 min.) *Restaurants,pizzerie and local shop, supermarkets are at few meters from the apt * Principe train station far 10 min walk * FREE Wifi * FREE clean sheets, towels (Towels 2 per each guest per stay. Large private roof terrace just for you not share with other people (direct access from the apt) that looks out over the rooftops and the other on the old port of Genoa with his fabolous boat and holiday will eat or take an 'aperitivo' watching the sea and the famous architect Renzo Piano' Expo' area ... My family and i leave on the next apartment so we can be always present (just if you want...) to give some good tips . Please before booking the apt be sure to read properly all the house's rules :) -- Please this apt is not for party, if you want make noise or similar this apt is not for you. -check in from 3pm to 9 pm always ask for a later for check in ... This apartment was in a wonderful location for exploring the city. The apartment was clean and spacious with comfortable beds and an amazing view. Matteo was even kind enough to assist us in obtaining taxi service. I highly recommend staying here!

The great selling feature of this property was the roof top deck and the view of the harbour. The roof deck is accessed by a ship’s ladder so may not be for everyone. Thank goodness for the elevator, but even so there is still an additional 20 steps that need to be negotiated from the elevator to the apartment, but Matteo was more than happy to assist us with our luggage. He also arranged for a taxi to the train station at the end which cost just under 13€. Matteo lives in the apartment next door so was readily available if we needed any assistance.

The most wonderful place to stay. Right in the heart of the old city. Spectacular views as you are on the top floor with an available rooftop. So many great options for restaurants, cafes, and shops.
You will get greeted bi Matteo who is very friendly and informative.

The host was one of the best we have encountered. The location in the old harbour was perfect for our needs and the view from the rooftop spectacular. Our host provided excellent suggestions for restaurants. All in all a 20 out of 10.

Zentrale und freundliche Wohnung. Die Stadtautobahn ist tagsüber laut, dafür ist alles was Genua bietet vor der Haustür.
Matteo ist sehr interessiert, dass es den Gästen gut geht.

Schöne Wohnung, sehr netter Gastgeber, perfekte Lage …. Die Terrasse hat einen sensationellen Blick, ist aber laut. Aber das ist es im Zentrum einer Stadt immer und für uns war es sehr ok.

He provides a good list of ideas of places to go and see locally and is as helpful or as un intrusive as you need. You have a question he is there, you have no questions, that's ok too. I would have no hesitation of recommending the apartment to anyone interested in spending some time in Genoa.

Klasse Apartment mit Dachterrasse
Die Wohnung mit zwei Bädern und zwei Schlafzimmern ist gut ausgestattet und ideal gelegen für die Besichtigung der Altstadt Genuas. Gegenwärtig wird ein Aufzug eingebaut, was den Aufstieg in den 6. Stock erleichtern wird. Die Umgebung am Hafen hat durchaus auch einen rauhen Charme, ist aber eben auch unverfälscht. Der Blick aus den Zimmern und von der Terrrasse ist klasse. Wir konnten gegenüber vom Eigentümer zusätzlich eine Einzelgarage innerhalb einer Tiefgarage anmieten, die für Kleinwagen und Mittelklasse geeignet ist - sehr praktisch.

Fantastic views from the roof terrace and a great base for us - we went to Florence, Luca, Allesandria and Portofino - a couple of good walks around Genoa. The harbour / port area is lovely with good choice of bars and restaurants. This our first family break in Italy and it has been excellent. The apartment has been everything we wanted.

This apartment was perfect for our stay in Genoa. It was close to great restaurants, shopping, sights, and the ferry or train for transportation for our day trips. Matteo’s sister greeted us and was most helpful with our arrival as well as suggestions of places to go. The place has a terrific view of the port. We really enjoyed the rooftop patio in the afternoon or evening especially after a day of sightseeing. I would definitely stay here again!

Top Lage mit sensationeller Dachterrasse.
Die Lage direkt am Hafen mit hervorragender Aussicht auf aus-und einlaufende Kreuzfahrtschiffe und die Altstadt hat uns absolut begeistert. Beim Sitzen auf der Dachterrasse lag einem die Stadt zu Füßen, man konnte gar nicht genug bekommen. Die Sehenswürdigkeiten und Restaurants der Altstadt sind zu Fuß erreichbar, weil man im Zentrum wohnt.
Die Wohnung ist sauber, groß, mit allem ausgestattet was man braucht und die 2 Schlafzimmer mit bequemen Betten und den 2 Bädern sind sehr praktisch.
In der Küche waren die gängigen Gewürze und Utensilien vorhanden.
Natürlich war es bei geöffneten Fenstern laut , aber dieser "Nachteil" wird von den Vorteilen mehr als wett gemacht!
Die vielen Stufen in die 6. Etage nahmen wir gerne als sportliche Herausforderung an.
Der Vermieter war sehr freundlich und hat auf Fragen zeitnah geantwortet.
Wir würden sagen: Der perfekte Ort, um Genua zu erleben!

Eine besondere Ferienwohnung
Wenn man die 124 Stufen zur Wohnung geschafft hat - ist es nur noch beeindruckednd: Die tolle Einrichtung - ein Mix aus Neu und Alt, die Aussicht, die Dachterrasse.
Ein Gefühl , als würde man wie in einem Vogelnest sitzen und das Leben zieht unten an einem vorbei, Kaum ist man vor der Haustür, ist man wieder mittendrin im prallen Leben. Alles kann fußläufig erreicht werden. Und bei Fragen war Mateeo stets schnell zur Stelle. Beruhigend war auch, dass wir seinen Tiefgaragenplatz nutzen konnten.

The house is situated in the old town close to the aquarium which is ideal for shopping, restaurants and attractions. The view from the house and the above terrace is wonderful. The house itself has all you require and nicely decorated. We enjoyed every minute we stayed here and for a next visit we would like to hire this house Again if if possible. As Matteo was not at home we have not met him but his sister welcomed us very nice. Genua and its surroundings was very beautiful with lots to see, great food and friendly people. We hope to be back soon.

We have spent four nice days in the ancient town of Genova. The appartment is very nicely located. In the heart of the old town and with a magnificent view on the harbour front. The appartment is clean and spacious. Small disadvantage is the location on the sixth floor without elevator. Turn this around, see it as an opportunity to stay young and you will have great days in Genova.

Great owner (Matteo) great property, amazing location. Can not beat this place, amazing value.
First of all, if you can't walk up a lot of stairs (about 120) don't stay here. Other than a lot of stairs the place is perfect. Took a cab from train station and arrived 10 minutes later to find Matteo (owner) waiting for us in front of apartment. Super nice guy showed us the place, offered advice, spoke great english. Perfect start. Place has amazing views from deck and living area, kitchen well stocked to cook though never did. Apartment was nice and big also, plenty of space good for family or two couples. Anything you need is steps away. Our luggage was lost and I literally made 50 calls to try to find it and arrange a delivery with no success. I asked Matteo for help at about 11p.m. one night and he was able to have it delivered to us next day. I am forever greatfull for his help in getting our luggage to us. Genoa is a great compact city that is very easy to get around in. I would highly recommend this rental to anyone travelling to Genoa. Great place, great owner A+. Thanks Matteo

An amazing stay
We have just spent two weeks in Genoa. The apartment is lovely and Matteo is a wonderful host who made sure that we were greeted on arrival and had the basics in as we flew in late. He also let us know where the best sights were and made sure we felt very welcome. The view from the apartment was amazing- worth the walk up the stairs which kept us fit! Thankyou for a lovely time

A Charming Stay in Genoa
Matteo was a wonderful host. He met us outside the apartment and walked us up. The apartment is quite large and has everything you need to cook yourselves an authentic Italian meal. It is a short walk to Eatly and other grocery stores where you can get your supplies. There are also many restaurants in the area. Matteo kindly pointed us in the direction of several good options. We saw great views of the Porto Antico from the windows. We also enjoyed the rooftop terrace, enjoying wine while relaxing with the view. It is close to the aquarium and a also a short walk to Piazza De Ferrari. We had a wonderful time in Genoa, and if we ever come back, would be happy to rent this apartment again.
