About this house rental
Situated in Truckee, this attractive house for £908 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. This seven-bedroom, six-and-a-half-bathroom house was built in the 1880s and is well maintained and beautifully appointed. It underwent a $1,000,000 remodel in the late 1990's. Its a perfect balance of 19th-century decor and modern furnishings make this a unique space for a celebration. Our two-story Victorian home sleeps up to 15, but is spacious enough inside and out to host a gathering of 25 for a most memorable event. Additional fee may apply for a gathering of over 15. Upstairs there are two suites with Cal King beds, one Queen bedroom suite and a connecting Jack and Jill bedroom with a queen and two twins. Downstairs there is a Queen suite with a handicapped bathroom and a King suite. In addition there is a Full size futon in the separate TV/Media room. The house boasts all new high end Sealy Posturepedic mattresses and new linens. Overlooking downtown Truckee, Mt. Rose and the clear, cool Truckee River, the Richardson House sits centrally among world-class ski resorts, golf courses, and abundant fishing and outdoor activities. There is no shortage of activities to engage in while you experience the Tahoe lifestyle. This rental's downtown location makes it easy to walk to coffee shops, boutiques, museums, restaurants and nightlife. Inside the house, the professional chef's kitchen is great for entertaining boasting two sinks, a six-burner commercial oven with hood, and plentiful counter space. Other amenities include complimentary WiFi, Cable TV, BBQ, large porch with rocking chairs overlooking downtown Truckee and Mt. Rose. Luxurious gardens, gazebo, laundry, and and a Sonos stereo system. Don't miss our new 6 person outdoor Jacuzzi!

This Victorian has been completely remodeled and updated with all of the charm preserved for a step back in time. There is ample room for everyone to gather together, including a large dining room table for truly special meals with family and friends. The bedrooms are comfortable and unique in their own way and allow privacy when wanted. The proximity to Truckee is an added bonus. We unreservedly recommend this beautiful home.

Such a unique experience! The house is so well decorated and equipped. We are a large group of 4 families and everyone enjoyed spending 4 days in the house. The host is super friendly and ready to help any time we need it. Thanks again for sharing this amazing property.

Second time/second year in a row that we stayed at this property for President's Day weekend. The Richardson House is amazing in. Property was very clean. Kitchen is fully equipped and seems to have brand new state of the art appliances (I do not remember if they were the same last year, but I have they impression they are brand new). Great for large groups of families, plenty of space for everyone. Very close to Truckee center (accessible by foot). Would definitely stay there again!

Absolutely loved our stay in the Richardson house. The place was spacious and had everything we needed — kitchen was very modern and had all well equipped, hot tub was great, rooms were clean, etc. The check in process was seamless , and Jeannine was responsive and helpful for anything we needed. 10/10 recommend and would come back.

Walk thru history with modern amenities!
My friends and I had a great weekend staying in this awesome mountain Victorian! Pictures do not do justice to how cool this house is! Spacious, and perfectly decorated, with 9ft doors and 14ft ceilings! Our group of 8 had a very comfortable stay. Jeannine, the host, was communicative and checked in just the right amount. She knows the Truckee area very well, and even set us up with a private masseuse! Location is perfect, walking distance to the Truckee historical down town. We will be coming back! Thx!

Beautiful Home - Best Location in Truckee
Wow, do yourself a favor and book this home. An IMMACULATE historic home built in 1887, a block away from downtown Truckee. You are a 1 minute walk to the best coffee shop and restaurants the town has to offer. The home itself was even more impressive in person than on the listing. The home is in near-perfect condition with numerous original accents from the 1800's. The wood paneling in the entry way / up the staircase is all original and of incredible craftsmanship. There is a massive dining table that allows large groups to congregate for meals. An amazing outdoor space includes a fantastic 4-person hot tub and a covered gazebo. The front porch has 4 rocking chairs and overlooks downtown. The home has a very warm energy and we all felt comfortable and welcome.
Jeannine was incredibly helpful with the check-in process and any other questions we had. Her husband, Bob, stopped by at check-in and was extremely friendly and warm.
We had a large group of 13-14 people and this is the only home I found that doesn't break than bank yet comfortably supports such a large group.
This is probably the most positive home rental experience I have ever had.

Epic Family Christmas Holiday!
The ambiance and charm of The Richardson House cemented our family Christmas holiday! Family members young and old reveled in the festivities. Seven bedrooms and private bathrooms added to everyone's comfort. Large kitchen and large well stocked kitchen encouraged large dinner gatherings. Games galore for the children and adults too. The children played in the snow and sledded right in front of the house while we watched from the rockers on the front porch. Our hosts were super super hosts! We sadly returned to reality at the end of the week knowing we would be back for another epic week soon!

Highly recommend this property for any large family or friends stay. It was Smokey, but luckily the house is beautiful on the inside! Walking distance to amazing coffee shops and bars.

What a treat to be able to book the whole place to ourselves. Beautiful clean beautifully restored Victorian with high ceilings, large common areas, great hot tub, well appointed kitchen, front porch with rocking chairs etc etc. We will definitely be back. Family Time
Our group consisted of 5 couples for a family getaway. The house was perfect for us as we each had our own comfortable room with private bathroom. The kitchen and dining room provided great space to enjoy meals at the house. We also barbecued one evening and loved the outdoor gazebo and table. The house is within walking distance to town and a short drive to Donner Lake which was fun and convenient.

This is the perfect home for a large group. Every room has an en suite and there is plenty of room for personal space.
The decor definitely reflects the Victorian time period, making it very special.
It’s perfectly situated within walking distance to the adorable town of Truckee. We are repeat renters, and recently celebrated a “Fancy Friendsgiving.” Plenty of kitchen space to prepare a large meal, and the long dining room table sat 12 of us perfectly.
The hot tub in the cute little backyard completes this perfect vacation home. We definitely recommend.
