Pros: The condo was pretty and the decor was nice throughout. Having 2 umbrellas and 4 lounge chairs was great! Get to the Kiosk early about 6:45am the line starts forming and no chairs are assigning until 8am. Though this is a large condo- the elevators were always working, fast, and have AC! The pools are nice- however do not open until 9am which I think is late. The location can't be beat if you want to frequent the Pier Park area. Frig, washer, dryer, dishwasher, and master bedroom were all great. Kitchen was well stocked. Condo was clean!
Cons: Check Ins for large condos are always hectic- This condo truly should consider staggering check in times due to the large number of people checking in at once. The remote in 1 of the bedrooms did not work. Owner was contacted day 1 and day 7 and still did not work. (I think it just needed to be re-programmed to the TV) The freezer did not work consistently. The owner was contacted on day 2 and sent someone on day 4 and we were told whoever he sent said it was working.. so who knows. Some days we had ice and some days we didn't. Some days our drinks in the freezer froze-- and some days they didn't. We did not use the top bunk because we didn't need to, thankfully. The ladder was just laying against the bed and the entire bed is unstable. The headboard in the 2nd bedroom moves. I just put a pillow behind the headboard to stop it from hitting the wall every time I moved.
Overall- we enjoyed the stay in this condo.

This place is not only in a great location, but also made us feel immediately right at home. The space is beautiful, and added to our enjoyment of our vacation. We have 3 pre-teen/teen boys and had plenty of room. It was such a blessing to already have the chairs and umbrellas available to us, so I didn’t have to wake up early to save a spot. There are also plenty of water and sand toys available. If we come back to this location we plan to stay in this same place.

Arrived to Unit at 4 pm as instructed. Unfortunately, it had not been cleaned. People prior to us had left a HUGE mess and cleaning person became overwhelmed and just left. Contacted owner of Unit and informed him of issues. Finally Property Manager and another cleaning crew arrived. Finally around 9:30/9:45 we were able to unpack.
Also, be prepared to bring everything!!! There was no “starter “ supplies. No welcome note or basket like all other VRBO’s that I have stayed at.
Another issue, people do not return carts and we had to carry everything to and from the unit. Thankfully we had a beach wagon.
The BEST part of this unit was that it was beach front and we ALL enjoyed this!! It was also convenient to Pier Park and other restaurants that we could walk to!!

We enjoyed this condo very much. It had plenty of room for everyone in our family and we would definitely stay here again. A nice bonus was the 4 beach chairs that were included with the condo. We made great use of these! The location is great and there are lots of options for stores/restaurants within walking distance. The owner was great to deal with and answered any and all questions.

My family came down for the Seabreeze Jazz Festival and had a wonderful time. The Condo was walking distance to the Festival. Also it was very clean with amazing pots for cooking.

We have stayed at 5 different condos at calypso towers 1 and 2 and by far this was the nicest one so far. Newly updated bathrooms and floors . Clean . We definitely will stay here again. Also great communication with the owner.

We had a great stay at the calypso. Great condo, cleanly, updated. The condo owner was attentive. We had a couple snafu’s but he responded quickly. The complex was the perfect location for all the restaurants, shops and bars.

Condo is gorgeous, updated and roomy. You can see Sunrise and Sunset from large balcony too! And the owner is easy to contact via text or call. Not that we needed for this trip but there's a highchair, pack n play, beach items and it comes with 4 beach rental chairs w 2 umbrellas.

This unit did not disappoint with its updates! Very nice and clean! I had read reviews about slow elevators at Calypso but we never waited more than a couple minutes. We were in the middle of everything which my teenagers/young adults loved. Our first time in Panama City was great! Would definitely recommend

No comfort without cleanliness
Beautiful condo but it was dirty. Large Stains on bedding, refrigerator not clean, items left in floor from previous renters, and the balcony was disgusting with sand and dirt everywhere.

Our stay at this condo was great for the family. There are lots of places to eat/shop within walking distance as it is right next to Pier Park. The resort was very kid friendly and was full of families with young children.

First time at PCB
Myself and my young adult kids stayed for a week..property was as described. We followed the instructions regarding check in and parking and had no problems…just be sure to read thoroughly and submit necessary info PRIOR to arrival! The only complaint I had was that the ice maker wasn’t working but there was a full unopened bag of ice in the freezer so it was no biggie for us. PIER PARK is virtually across the street so it was a high traffic and crowd area that my kids (ages 19 to 23) loved!

No air…see if someone else cares
While the property is beautiful I am not sure the owner realizes the “it looks passable” cleaning job he is paying for. Upon entering the condo it appeared clean. However, the master bedroom bed had been remade poorly with used sheets!! So, while some headed to grocery store others striped, washed and remade beds! We also had a layer of sand throughout the condo we swept and vacuumed. Bedtime we realized the sofa pull out had been put back with bedding from previous guest as well, luckily we had a spare set of sheets for sofa bed.
Monday night the air went out, saving grace it was an off day for baseball and most were at beach all day. The owner was contacted and we were told it was a west tower issue. Tuesday condo hit 80 and we had to try an sleep in it and get up to play ball refreshed!!!
I was told to check with front desk about air issue, they said they did not handle our unit to check with HOA office!! Let’ see 7pm Tuesday night THEY are not open until 9 am Wednesday!!!!!
Owner asked if he could send people in for repair while we had 8 & 9:30 baseball games?? Absolutely, we would love to come back to cool condo. Our baseball team had 13 condos rented here 8 in the West tower, while at our Wednesday games 6 owners sent $500 back to guests for inconvenience of air issue while my owner tells me he is traveling and to update him in status of air. Gee thanks!! Air got fixed about 3pm on Wednesday.
Side notes, the oven takes 22 minutes to preheat to 350, the condo needs a Real broom and dust pan and please don’t think on check out day you can run get donuts at 8:30 and your code will still work on your door. Check out is 10 NOT 8:30 so had I not had family in condo I could wake up then I would have been locked out!!!!
Now the good, the condo is beautiful. The owner provides 2 sets of beach chairs and umbrellas for the stay and there is a closet full of beach stuff for guest use. The parking garage was nice and the covered walk over a God send not only on hot days but the storm we let in Saturday. There are lots of stores and restaurants in walking distance, the pools are great for kids after long day and we enjoyed the singers every night form our balcony.
So, would I stay at Calypso again?? Probably so since my grandson has at least 7 more years of baseball that could put us in PCB each summer. Beautiful condos and beach.
