About this condo rental
Enjoy your stay on Tybee in our cozy upper beach house apartment! Crafted into adorable nooks and crannies in the 1960s from the upper floor of a 1900 historic home, this is definitely a space to let your mermaid or merman shine. A 5 minute walk to the beach and restaurants on the historic North side of the Island, this beautiful home was used to transition incoming soldiers during WWI-II. Across a dirt road from Jaycee Park, new running paths, and the new city playground. Wifi and parking are included. The main spaces include a cozy living room with tv couch and chair, a breakfast nook that seats 4 (plus two optional TV trays), a full bath tub and shower (let’s be honest, it is more of a sit-down for a taller person lol - it is one of the aforementioned “nooks and crannies,” with slanted ceiling yet fully functional), our fully-stocked kitchen (we love to cook), two beachy Private bedrooms featuring a queen bed and a full bed, respectively, TVs and extra window a/c units to supercharge the central a/c, a few steps down into a kids nook with two twin beds (for the kiddos - or perhaps for adults-who-are-cool-with-it), and an inside laundry closet with brand new 2020 LG front loading washer and dryer. We even have an ice cream maker tucked away in the cabinets. Our space also includes access to the outdoors - the side yard (including 2 grills and a sitting area) is shared between lower and upper unit, as are the borrowable items in and around the shed (beach chairs, kids beach toys, and beach umbrellas). We have an outdoor shower and hose for rinsing off bodies and feet before coming back inside. It is on the left walkway of the home and is shared between the units. This is a historic home with its quirks, character, and crooked places. But the charm of a home built in 1900 with such great history just can’t be beat! With 24 sweet steps up the back stairs to this fantastic beach flat...you will definitely maintain your exercise regimen while taking in the salty air of Tybee. (Be sure to drop a seashell with a message on it into our Every Seashell Has a Story box before you checkout!) The beach is literally a 5 minute walk away. The entire top portion of the house is available to you. Our other unit is on the base floor of the house - it has a completely separate entrance thru the front porch. It is where we and our kid stay when we’re in town, and otherwise it is also a vacation rental.

Good bit of stairs to get to the property, so just something to be aware of, quaint place with lots of room and set ups for sleeping. Wonderfully kind and gracious hosts.

We had so much fun in this cute little house! Super comfy and pet friendly. Very close to the beach which was beautiful to walk to or take the bikes they have outside the house to borrow. Beware of the roof if you stay in the upper part of the house, we did hit our heads a few times (but it was kind of funny lol!!)

This house is a very cute old house a short distance from the beach. There is a nice park across the street and the lighthouse is close as well. It is not a quiet neighborhood, though. People did not follow the curfew of 10pm. You can hear the downstairs neighbors as if they were above you. I did love the quirks about the unit. The towels were nice and soft and there was shampoo/conditioner/body wash to use. The reason we gave 4 stars for cleanliness is because the oven is filthy with not just stains but chunks of burnt food. The kitchen is not super cooking friendly as there is no counter space. We had plenty of hot water, which was surprising. We didn't use any of the bikes or beach stuff because it was cold. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are big. There are no closets for hanging clothes, so that was challenging. Overall we had a nice stay here in this cute beach town.

Tybee is about 30 minutes into Savannah therefore an UBER, 1 way, is about $25.00. If you are a small family or group that just wants to kick back and relax, this is a nice, affordable place to do it. The owner of the property is new and he is very communicative and checks on you daily. Very friendly!

Wonderful property
We had a wonderful time in this upstairs apartment! It was cozy but spacious! Beds were comfy and had plenty of space to spread out and relax. Great communication with Andrea and was quick to reply if we needed her! Beach was a short walk away and park was just across the road! Would totally rent again! Thank you for a great stay!

This upstairs apartment was spacious and stayed cool despite the heatwave. It was nice to have access to a few bikes. The location was great if you're looking for a quieter place near the beach (and the lighthouse). There's also a few places to walk to for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Would definitely return!

Fantastic Vacation Location
The property is in a quiet neighborhood and less than a 5 minute walk to the beach! It is roomy and has all you need for your stay. We loved having bikes and beach chairs available to use. We were on Tybee for a wedding and the Wedding Chapel is less than a mile away. The owners are very helpful and easy to reach.

Great spot for a family vacation
We had an amazing time at this rental. The location was amazing for feeling immersed in the tybee local culture, close to amenities and attractions, such as beach and lighthouse, but far enough away from touristy crowds. The space was great for husband and I and our four kids. Plenty of space for everyone. We loved being able to shop at the farmers market on Monday evening and prepare our own meals in the kitchen. The owner communicated before and during our stay, which was greatly appreciated. We didn’t access the park across the street (didn’t have enough time!) but loved that it was there and available for our kids. We had never been to the area and very much enjoyed our stay!

Spring Break
Apartment was as shown on the website. Clean, cutely decorated, and convenient to bike anywhere on Tybee. It is in an older house so could use some minor updating but overall was a perfect fit for a couple or small group of friends. I would definitely stay again.

Great stay!
We enjoyed staying here! The pictures do not do it justice! It is decorated super cute and beach themed. It is a five minute walk from the beach. The weather was very hot but the apartment stayed very cool. Sleeps up to seven people. It is located on the north end of the island which is a lot quieter. The residents down stairs were very nice and friendly. It was easy to find and there were plenty of towels and beach towels for our stay. I would highly recommend staying here again.
