Loved this cabin so much! Took me back to my younger days in the 90’s. Old school vibes and I appreciated that so much! Host was super sweet also! We had no issues with the cabin at all! It was super spacious and had all the amenities we needed. Will definitely be staying again! Thank you!

The home has a spacious great room with a tall ceiling and exposed beams and big windows offering views of the outdoors. And the billiard table is a great feature!

This house close to the Tahoe donnor ski resort. And 10 minutes drive to highway 80 and Truckee business center. Very convenient. I like the big bay window and pool table. The house decorations and equipment are little bit old but still good and clean.

Very spacious, tall ceiling, pool table. Locates in the forrest but close to town. The master bedroom mattress, and the sofa cushions are too soft.

The condition of the property was sub par. The carpet was dirty, the sink drains were very slow. There was a sectional and a couch in the living room that were completely worn out ( it was like sitting on the floor). The kitchen sink was stained. There was a broken coffee cup and water glass that had been put in the cabinets.

Very nice great room where family could visit/play etc. Pool table was a big plus - used it every night. Great large windows let in a lot of light and bedrooms comfortable. Kitchen was usable but lacking in glassware and utensils so we had to purchase some.. but overall a great place to stay...

My family stayed at the house and enjoyed our stay. The house is very dated (70s). If you want a modern house, this isn’t it. However, I’m there for the outdoors and the house was fine for that. One of the windows in the family room wouldn’t close unless you went outside and pushed it shut plus there are no screens on half the windows which is too bad.

First off we arrived to find no towels in any of the bathrooms and later found a note advising we needed to get towels out of the dryer. I don’t expect to have to fold my own towels. The property said rustic but it was dirty and outdated. The carpet was filthy , My year old granddaughter was walking barefoot and within an hour her feet were black. There were stains on both couches. The refrigerator had broken shelve in both the freezer and the fridge. The upstairs toilet runs all night. Also they should mention there is no air conditioning. This is something I should have checked. One thing also was there was insufficient utensils in the kitchen. The kitchen floor had screws in the linoleum which seemed like a big hazard. I have stayed in many houses this one had no book advising the house rules or where to find anything in this house . I would not advise anyone to rent this property. I don’t mind a old property but I do expect it to be clean. All in all we endured and enjoyed our family but would advise they get a good crew in to throughly clean the carpets and furniture. Replace the outdated fridge fix the running toilet and clean add some basic ( inexpensive) utensils. I think you should have a place to add photos to the review as I took photos of all the things I mentioned.

Spacious Cozy Cabin!
I loved the tall ceilings, vintage pool table and VHS selection has all the classics! The only thing is there's no private hot tub :( but great stay regardless and lots of activities otherwise!

The cabin was clean, but in need of a few updates. The light fixture above the dining table flickers and is impossible to keep on. Overall, the home has very low lighting making it hard for older individuals to see. The mattresses are also outdated in the bedrooms. Those were the only issues we confronted with the property itself.
The other issue is that check-in time is 4pm and check-out time is 10am. This is absolutely absurd. Especially during winter times when you hope to be off the roads early to reduce environmental issues like snow and ice. Also, as I stated previously, the lighting in the cabin is very low so it is hard to see inside after 4pm. Not to mention, 4pm and 10am are not even hotel standards. This change in time should be reflected in the price of the cabin.

• Our #1 concern was this facility had NOT been ‘COVID cleaned’. We did not feel confident that all the high touch areas had been thoroughly cleaned.
• Kitchen:
o No smoke detector in the kitchen
o Coffee grounds in the coffee maker from previous guest
o Dried food on plates and a few pieces of silverware from previous guests
o Pot and pans are old and not level when trying to cook
o When standing at the sink you can see red stains on the cupboard to your right
• Downstairs bedroom:
o Mattress was off the bedframe at least 3”
o Stain on the sheets on the left
o Mattress needs to desperately be replaced. You and easily see the over use
o Under the bed is disgusting
o Dead bug between the bed and nigh table
o Huge dust bunny in the tracks of the closet doors
• Downstairs bathroom:
o The walls need to be bleached and painted. The stains running down the walls are disgusting.
o The celling needs to be bleached and painted.
o Shower door track needs to be thoroughly cleaned (The inside shower door slipped off the track and I had to manipulate the door back)
o We refused to use the bathmat.
• Livingroom:
o Replace or professionally clean the couches every three (3) months
o The windows have hand prints and finger prints all over them. This has NOT been COVID cleaned
o The window on the right the crank is broken. Had to go outside and push on the window to lock at night
o We didn’t dare open the leather couch/hide-a-bed in fear of what we may have found…
o Looks like wax to the left of the TV
o No one ever vacuumed or cleaned behind the TV/under the stairwell
o To the right of the fireplace needs to be finished so you cannot see the boards or foam used. Just looked tacky
o The door leading outside did not have a key for the deadbolt in case of a fire
o STAIRWELL: Upon arriving I could see long single strands of blonde hair on the stairwell. NOT COVID cleaned
• Upstairs Bedroom on the far right
o Guest had to pull the mattress pad out of the bedroom closets in order to find comfort. The mattress is old and disgusting. Must be replaced
o She did not mention anything regarding cleanliness
• Upstairs Bedroom in the middle
o One guest stayed in the room the first night and stated that she did not get a good night sleep due to the mattress. (She moved to the downstairs bedroom with me)
o Second guest stayed in this room the remaining nights. She stated the sheets had holes in them
o As for cleanliness she thought it was okay

Nice Home, but very dirty
We loved the area and the size and make of the home. We were very happy to be there and have fun. We did definitely have some cleanliness issues and the beds were terrible. The home asked us to remove shoes, but unless you were okay with Black feet or socks I would not recommend. We had to clean the kids feet twice a day they were so bad. If the home had been cleaner and the beds a little more comfortable then this would of been a 5 star stay, but we could not overlook.

Bad Communication
A nice big place to enjoy a getaway however the floor is super dirty. Being barefooted, our feet would be super black after walking across the floor. The bedsheets in the downstair room was dirty and have hair already even though we never slept on it. The communication was HORRIBLE. After booking the place, I wrote to Vacasa regarding late checkout and they never replied. I wrote at least 3 messages and they never replied. I was truly disappointed. They could’ve replied and say “No, sorry no late check out” and I would’ve been fine with that. Also the refrigerator wasn’t getting cold because we were unable to read the dial since all the numbers disappeared already. We tried turning it one way and waiting an hour or so and turning it another way but it wasn’t getting cold at all. At first we thought the freezer part was good and frozen however it was just extra cold but not frozen. Overall, the place was beautiful but very outdated like the pictures had shown.

Awesome house
We loved our stay at this house. The location was perfect- so close to both Donner and Tahoe Lakes. Also a quick drive to old town Truckee, bike parks, hiking trails, etc. The rooms are very spacious and the house had all the amenities you need. Our two kids did not want to leave.

Truckee Cabin
This cabin was in a wonderful location. Accessing the property was easy. There was plenty of parking. We had early check in which was nice. The property itself however was very outdated. The beds/pillows were very uncomfortable. The lighting wasn’t very good in the whole house- half of the switches didn’t seem to work. The back left burner on the stove only got warm when it was turned to high. The bathrooms were very outdated as well. Beautiful setting but no TLC was put into this property. Also most of the dishes weren’t clean when we got there. If some of those issues were addressed we would love to stay there again.

Spacious and Comfortable
This is really a great home. Its quite big for 6/8 people. We had great weekend here. Beds were comfortable and property was clean. We struggled little to enter as there are 2 doors on side and 4 locks. So we had to do multiple combinations to figure our right entrance which is on left side if you face this house. This house is decorated with many antique show pieces which give you unique feel. My 10 year old enjoyed pool table and different books

Old, old furniture, poor lighting, and very dirty
I can tolerate old and old furniture but not a filthy rental. White socks turned black from walking on the floor/carpet. Who knows the amount of dirt on the furniture and beds

Good place for a great family time in Tahoe
Conveniently located to Tahoe Donner X-Country ski resorts, snow play areas and downhill skiing. Everything is in the working order. Wonderful views from every room; great pool table and a master fireplace to keep everyone cozy and entertained in the winter. Updates to the bathroom and bed mattresses are recommended.

Good
We loved being away from the hustle and bustle of the city life. Being surrounded by the snow and nature. The house is stunning... older but beautiful. Big enough for a large family or a low key girl's or guy's getaway. Great access for skiing and/or hiking the beautiful mountains of NV/CA.

Good
The house is beautiful, can tell its an older house which could some upgrades. The door locks need to be upgraded, the kitchen door knob can be wiggled unlocked and the keys are difficult to figure out. The kitchen scissors were broken, there was not a lot of instruction for the fire place ex: the flume. The table lamp in the living room, the switch turned on but we couldn't get it off after that. Maybe upgrade the shower heads. There was was no laundry soap to start any laundry as requested on the check out list. Maybe stating more about the clubhouse in your advertisement, ex fees and location. The stay was great, we had a great time and the pool table is a great addition. Allowing your quests access to paper goods: ex paper towels. Or state that you don't supply them. The refrigerator door: on the inside door the bottom shelf, the food always fell out when we opened the door. The two windows in the living room were not able to be used, notification of that would've been good. Perhaps upgrading your stereo to meet the ever changing electronic needs, ex auxiliary ports or Ihome speakers. (Radio stations static, didn't use the feature of the rental). The views were gorgeous and the snow only enhanced it. I would still recommend the place/company. Thank you

Great place to stay
The place had everything our group of friends needed for a long weekend stay. The house was clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated. The only thing that the listing is not specifying is that the hot tub is actually not in the house or outside the house (we were not able to locate it as the instruction only mentions that there is a shared hot tub, but does not explain where it is - so we did not end up using it). I would recommend this place to other groups of travelers.
