We stayed here for a weekend in summer with extended family. The property was clean and as pictured! Owners were responsive! Check in was easy! The kitchen had everything you would need to cook! We loved it!

Our family of 10 really enjoyed our stay. The house was well stocked and everything was convenient. The house is located very close to the Truckee river, which we enjoyed the walk down to raft. The meadow behind the house was very picturesque. Of special interest is that we were invaded by a family of bears who help themselves to our food. We had inadvertently left a bottom floor window open while we were gone. The owner was very responsive to the cleanup and repairs. We highly recommend this house and will be returning.

Overall, we really enjoyed the house. However, it should be listed as a 5-bedroom and not 6. Downstairs there is a “pass-through” room with 2 sets of bunkbeds that leads into another bedroom with a King bed. On top of the issue of one couple having to walk through a room (occupied by young children and mom) to get to their own; this “pass-through” room had a broken window which was boarded up and allowed for zero ventilation. The part of our family that was to stay in the “pass-through” room ended up leaving the night we arrived and went home because of this. It was like staying in a closet or sauna. They wasted 3 nights pay. On the day of arrival, we got to the house a bit before 4 and wanted to drop off some food, but the house cleaner was not up for that. She did let us leave the ice chest in the garage. Another issue was the cleaning lady had a dog in the house and the home is listed as no dogs allowed. One of the members of our family is severely allergic to dogs. Other issues to be cognizant of: the kitchen sink faucet leaks if you don't wiggle it to stop. It was running when we got there. There were wet towels in the washer and the dryers were full of towels. Also, the patio screens are all broken or no screen at all. Some of the windows didn’t have handles to open at night. We really wanted to play shuffle board, but it didn't have any soap for the disc to slide. The place really needs a handy man to fix all the issues. The owner would not return my call.

Our large family had a wonderful reunion here. It accommodated us well. The kitchen is very well Equipped. It had almost everything we could have wanted. There were starter TP & paper towels for our week stay. The shower/tubs to step into were very high- if you have someone with mobility issues, this could be a challenge. The master bath does have a walk in shower. The setting & view are marvelous. A wonderful hike/path is at the end of the street. We walked there daily. We even saw a bear in the neighborhood! The temps rose the closer to July we got. The house does not have AC and several windows have broken handles which made for some challenges. There are some ceiling fans but I suggest either bringing your own small fan (we brought a woozoo) or maybe some box fans could be added to the home. If we chose to meet in South Lake Tahoe again, we’d gladly rent this home again. Thank you!

This was our second stay in this home. It is a fantastic layout for families...there are rooms for kids downstairs near the games and pool tables which leaves nice time for adults upstairs! The arrangement was just right. We had a significant issue this trip with a leak into the downstairs bunk room, though. The weather was incredibly snowy and I know that things happen, but it was a hugely impactful issue that the owners were aware of and did not inform us about nor attempt to remedy. This was disappointing, but if that issue is fixed I would give it more stars. Maybe check with the owner before you go to ensure all is well.

There was mold in the downstairs bedroom. Several silverfish were noticed in the upstairs master bedroom.

Great Location, Great Home. Thank you for being part of our annual trip. The house was awesome for games for all 13 of us and perfect if anyone needed alone time. Plenty of room for 3 families. SEE YOU NEXT YEAR!

Although we had 2 days of a Blizzard postponed skiing we had a great time at this cabin. The snow provided a great play area for the grandkids right out the back door. Second time I’ve rented this and hope to do it again.

We decided to have a small wedding with just immediate family, us and 8 guests and rather than have everyone spread out, decided to get a house big enough for all of us and beautiful enough for a small ceremony. While the snow storm decided for us that the ceremony could not be held outside, the space was still beautiful with a snowy backdrop. Would have loved to come in better weather conditions, the host have snow toys for use, as well as river kayaks for warmer months. A few things of note, there were MANY light switches in the main living area and kitchen, they were a bit confusing and there wasn't much light in the kitchen. Also many of the switches in the room turned on the fans but not the lights, many had chains to pull but were far too high to reach. Could not figure out if the main fan could be turned off so it went the entire time, occasionally feeling chilly. We also could not figure out the fireplaces. We tried following the provided instructions but they did not work. Also, the bathtubs are great as they are DEEP but we did have an elderly guest who could not get in and had to use our newlywed/master bedroom en suite shower since it was a walk in so that is something to consider if you have older guests joining. All in all this place was so beautiful, if scary in the snow, and has sooo much space for everyone to stay together but still have their own space to get away. Would be interested in staying again. Rooms, closets and bathrooms were all great. There was plenty of space and access to great hiking and snow.

Our family stayed there as we celebrated our parents 50th wedding anniversary. We had a wonderful time together and the home is nice. It is very spacious and can fit a family well. The property itself could have used a better cleaning on the inside. Also, when we arrived, we noticed a very bad smell coming from the basement. We later discovered it was one of the mattresses. There are a few items that need to be tended to in the house, broken dresser drawers/doors. Things in dishwasher, dryer and pantry was full of left over items of others. The house is in a nice neighborhood and perfect for sledding and exploring right out the door. It has beautiful views as well. We would stay there again, just would like a cleaner feeling in the home.

From the listing and previews reviews we thought we picked a nice and spacious home for Labor Day weekend. The home was definitely spacious and had king beds throughout which was nice. We had been told house keeping had been there the day we were checking in and if thats the truth then the homeowner needs to get new cleaners. There was spider webs in all the corners and crevices in the home, the floor must have been barely swept over because there was still dirt and dust everywhere. Our kids socks where completely dirty from the floor and only being there for about 1 hour. There was also sheets and towels left in the washer and dryer, that were still wet. One person in our party had found a spider in their bed that was alive and walking around. The key on the door to get in was very tricky and wouldn't grab and would just spin in the lock and then eventually grabbed and opened the door. Communication with the property manager was not the best, took very to long to respond and didn't seem to worry about the house still being dirty after we let her know. We ended up clearing out the spider webs and making the best of the home. It seems like its rented out during summer but I'm not sure how often, the owner of the home may not be local and is just trusting that the cleaning crew is doing their job but that is definitely not the case. I would be looking for a new cleaning crew to make sure the house was clean.

We had a small celebration at the house with about 25 people and it was perfect! The house is huge and has a ton of bedrooms and sleeping areas. The downstairs was great for hanging out and the patio was wonderful for what we needed. The owner was easy to work with and was very flexible and accommodating to what I needed. This is the perfect house for a large group getaway!

We enjoyed the large home, it had 2 living rooms so it was nice for the kids to have their own space. Kitchen table sat all 12 of us which was great for meals. The large deck could use a furniture upgrade, only had 4 chairs. It does not have A/C but it cools down well at night. Great view out the back of the house with a meadow behind it, we even had a bear come up from the meadow, walk past the house and up the hill. Nice home for a large group.

We had a party of ten of all ages coming up from Las Vegas to get a way from the heat and do some salmon fishing. The house worked out great nice location, plenty of room, and the kids really enjoyed the pool table and shuffleboard. The back deck was really nice also. The best thing about the property was the property manager she was very quick to respond to any questions or concerns we may have had. Would absolutely recommend this property! John Frank and family

Very nice clean house with beautiful open meadow in backyard. Also a nearby walking trail into the woods that leads to a river. We had a great time here. Enough rooms for large group and entertainment for kids and adults.

This house was the perfect property to host our family reunion ski trip. The location was convenient for access into South Lake Tahoe restaurants, shopping and Heavenly Valley ski resort. The house was large enough to comfortably handle our crew. We especially enjoyed the back deck with spectacular views of the mountains! The downstairs game room was also popular with everyone. We will definitely look into renting this house again.

We loved our weekend at this house, everything is well maintained and clean and the views from the house are breathtaking! There were plenty of games and things to do at the house to keep everyone entertained and happy, and the kitchen is stocked with pots/pans that make cooking for a big group possible. Easy check-in and the host was super responsive and helpful when we had a question. Would definitely recommmend and rent again, thank you!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the South Lake Tahoe area, and this house really made it amazing! Cooking was easy with our crew and the locations and spacing of bedrooms worked perfectly for 3 separate families and kids who wanted to hang out together. The kids got the basement level (and loved it) and the adults got the upstairs (and loved the peace!). It is a fantastic place to say and we hope to come back again!
