About this house rental
We love our gorgeous mountain retreat and hope you will too. This is a modern and well appointed home with all the goodies. TOTALLY new kitchen as of 2021, including Cambria countertops, custom cabinets, floating shelves, beautiful new flooring, ALL NEW VIKING APPLIANCES (range, refrigerator, dishwasher, beverage center, microwave), new carpet and paint, mountain-themed fixtures, new furniture and new bedding await you. Enjoy sitting by the fireplace on our deep leather sectional couch or recliner. Quality high-end furniture and mountain fixtures throughout the home including a grand moose chandelier over the formal dining table. The oversized back deck includes BBQ, redwood picnic table with sun umbrella and a Hot Springs spa. The front deck includes recliners and side tables. The living room entertainment system includes a 55' LG High Definition flat screen, 5 speaker surround sound, high speed cable and wireless Internet (300mbps), Starz and Apple TV. The oversized garage fits two full-sized vehicles, or one vehicle + boat. Additional outdoor parking is available on and alongside the large driveway and hammerhead. 10% DISCOUNT FOR 1 WEEK OR LONGER STAYS. The house includes a laundry room with washer & dryer, dishwasher, garbage disposal, central heating and other modern amenities. The rooms in the home are situated as follows. Master bedroom (upstairs): king bed, 42' Sony high definition flatscreen tv, chandelier, large ensuite bathroom with jacuzzi tub, separate shower, separate toilet, twin vanity sinks. Guest bedroom 1 (downstairs): queen bed, leather sitting chair. Guest bedroom 2 (downstairs): queen bed, leather sitting chair. Guest bedroom 3 (downstairs): full-size bunk beds, oversized couch, sliding door access to backyard, 50' Pioneer high definition flatscreen with cable. The bathrooms in the home are situated as follows. Master bathroom (upstairs) / full Guest bathroom (downstairs) / full Guest bathroom (upstairs) / half Situated on nearly a half acre, there is plenty of room in the backyard for kids to play. 4WD and/or snow chains highly encouraged during winter stays.

Our family had a fantastic time staying at Joel’s home. It was our first stay in North Tahoe & we had a lovely time relaxing playing games & reading by the fire, cooking meals in the beautiful kitchen & enjoying the hot tub in the evenings after our days out skiing and visiting quaint downtown Truckee.
His house is conveniently located close to Donner/Sugar Bowl & other ski areas as well as downtown Truckee.
Joel was very helpful with any recommendations & always quick to respond.
Our family will be back to visit in the summer to enjoy a different season in beautiful Tahoe & can’t wait to stay in Joel’s home again.

House was newly renovated and well-appointed, with a fully stocked kitchen. Joel, the owner, was welcoming and very responsive/communicative and gave us the flexibility to check in early. Will definitely look to stay there again if we're back in the Tahoe area.

This house is the best. I have rented it a number of times over the years and it keeps getting better.
- Space: The perfect layout for a family vacation with lounging for every occasion
- Ammenties: The well appointedd chef's kitchen is perfect for us for those that enjoy Tahoe with a large number of meals at home. The front porch is my wife's favorite place to start her morning with a cup of coffee.
- Location: The benefits of Donner include access to the private lake and the club house. Not too far in so a quick run to the store isn't a problem. I love the quick drive to Glacier Way trailhead for my morning hike / bike ride!
- Comfort: The house is so spacious and comfortable. Clean throughout with very nice furniture, bedding and linens.
- Host: Joel makes it easy. Very communicative and responsive. No issues have arisen but he does check in occasionally to insure his guests are having a blast.
I have stayed many places in Tahoe but this house is my favorite. It feels like a home and somewhere you want to get back to after a long day of skiiing, boating, hiking, biking or any of the nearby activities. We have been there with up to 10 very comfortably for a family reunion.

My wife and I had the chance to take a last minute getaway and were lucky to book this spot, had a great time and we'll certainly aim to return again.
Joel (the owner) is very responsive and straightforward.
The unit is as described, very nice and well appointed with all the great elements for a Tahoe getaway. We didn't have our kids with us this time but the BRs are all nice and the bunk bed room has extra room for plenty. Kitchen is great, top end appliances, and the hot tub on the back balcony is perfect for end of day or early morning.
Great location as its super easy to get to downtown Truckee, Tahoe Donner, and same exit as Sugar Bowl.

Joel’s home was fantastic! My wife and I stayed for just over a week and loved it. Joel was very communicative, the updated kitchen was great, and the Tahoe Donner location very convenient. Highly recommend this home.

We really enjoyed our stay at the property! The house is beatiful (especially loved the kitchen!), spacious and well appointed. We appreciated the passes to Donner Tahoe facilities, really nice gym & pool. We’d love to stay here again!

Joel was a very responsive and accommodating host. He quickly resolved a few minor glitches when we check in. The house was clean, roomy, and matched what was listed. It's a convenient location in the Tahoe Meadows neighborhood.

This house is in a great location and has all the amenities you would need for a summer or winter stay. The kitchen is beautifully remodeled and has everything you need to make large group meals, the hot tub is great, and the living room has a huge couch for everyone to comfortably hang out together. I would definitely stay here again!

We stayed 3 nights for my birthday with a small group of our family. Joel’s place was beautiful and we truly enjoyed spending time here.
For me, the kitchen was a highlight, beautifully done with top-of-the line appliances and better-than-average cookware that you don’t usually see at shared homes. The furnishings and decor are rustic and quality.
The out group enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub. The bath tub in the master bedroom was wonderful for a morning soak while listening to the birds chirping away in the trees outside.
I liked that there seemed to be a lot of thought put into other peoples comfort. We had an infant with us, and appreciated the crib and it was nice to see baby gates, etc. available (even if we didn’t need to use them all). There were games as well for the kids. Our children enjoyed the bunk bed room, and had plenty of space to play and spread their toys.
We had a great stay, and didn’t really have any issues with the place. Whenever I reached out to Joel with a question he responded very promptly!
We were not far from stores and things to do. It was nice to have the garage to pack/unpack the car at our own pace.
If I had to say a negative, I’d say the mattresses were not as luxurious as the rest of the home. Then again, I’m spoiled with mine!
I’d definitely recommend booking to others, and we will likely stay again. Our stay fell during summer, but I imagine Joel’s place is even more amazing during the snow season!

We thoroughly enjoyed this beautifully decorated, immaculate, spacious, comfortable home! It is nestled in a peaceful, yet convenient area. It is organized and well stocked with nice linens, kitchen items, plenty of toiletries and even some laundry detergent. We appreciated use of the sleds, games, and the money saving Tahoe Donner Association cards. We loved the fireplace and the hot tub was a big hit! The owner was wonderful to work with, very accommodating and helpful. We can’t wait to return.

This house is spacious with a great layout and was perfect for our group of 7 (two families with 3 kids). The location was excellent - easy to get to, close to Tahoe Donner for skiing, and within walking distance to some of the best free sledding we’ve ever found. We loved skiing/sledding all day, cooking in the well stocked kitchen for dinner, and relaxing in the hot tub in the evening. We definitely hope to return!

We’ve stayed at this great house several times in winter and summer seasons. It’s such a welcoming space and the owners are kind and responsive. We look forward to staying again in the future!
