Originally constructed in 1920, this beautiful beach retreat is now on the List of Historic Places on Tybee Island. Splash into a brand-new, sparkling 16' x 38' pool that guarantees endless fun in the sun. Whether you're seeking a refreshing dip or poolside relaxation, the all-new outdoor living area is the perfect place to kick back! The home has been lovingly refurbished with modern details and beautiful coastal accents, located in a quiet residential neighborhood that is great for walking and bike riding. Enjoy the prime location that strikes the perfect balance between seclusion and accessibility, making it a dream vacation getaway! The original raised Tybee Cottage places the main living level on the 2nd floor. Enter the home through the spacious screened porch, which wraps around two sides of the house and includes a dining table with seating for eight people. The main floor consists of two bedrooms and a fully renovated kitchen which features all new appliances and beautiful cabinetry, ready to prepare your favorite meals, complete with a center prep island and a bonus beverage/wine fridge. The wrap-around screen porch will be your favorite spot to enjoy the Tybee breeze all year. There is a convenient washer and dryer and wash sink on the back side of the porch. The living area includes a sleeper sofa and a flat-screen TV—the two bedrooms on this level share one full bathroom and one-half bathroom. Bedroom 1 has a king-sized bed, and Bedroom 2 is furnished with two Queen Beds and a TV. Below the cottage, you will find the remaining two bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms on the ground level. As typical in this era of construction, these living quarters are detached with no interior connecting stairs. The first bedroom on the ground level has a Queen size bed and a TV. The second bedroom is furnished with two full beds and has a connected half bathroom. In the covered patio area, guests will enjoy a Ping-Pong table, corn hole boards, a table for 6, and an outdoor seating area with a large flat-screen TV. It is a great space to hang out and relax. It even has a vintage-inspired refrigerator and microwave. Located just outside are a charcoal grill and an outdoor shower. Also found in this space is a half bath. It is located in a quiet residential neighborhood that is great for walking and bike riding! Enjoy a convenient location without all the summertime congestion. Just four blocks from the Back River Beach, seven blocks to the main beach. Off-Street Parking for 5 cars (2 vehicles on either side of grassy area, 1 across the street). Not as Expected
Most of my disappointment is related to the state of the actual surrounding area. I walked my family to the beach at sunset one day and when we were walking back to the house, I stepped on a used needle in the road. There were also beer cans and trash along the road, not what we expected at all. The downstairs area also felt too exposed, especially after the issues with the surrounding areas. I had to lock myself and my kids in the bedrooms at night. The rooms downstairs also felt like a basement without windows and concrete floors. Just not what we expected at all.

My family loved the home. It was very nice and met all our needs. I would highly recommend this property. We had plenty of room for 10 people. We never felt like we were on top of each other. The porch is outstanding and the lower living area was over the top.
We did not spend a lot of time at the beach due to all the other activities we had planned, If the beach is you main reason for be at this home, I would recommend renting a cart to travel to and from the beach. The beach is just now the road and it will make for easy travels.

This place was advertised as having 2.5 baths but it only had 1 full bath and two 1/2 baths. This was very disappointing to have only one place for 8 people to shower! We would have never rented this place (especially for this price) if we had known. Everything else was very nice.

Fantastic Stay
My family loved the home. It was very nice and met all our needs. I would highly recommend this property. We had plenty of room for 10 people. We never felt like we were on top of each other. The porch is outstanding and the lower living area was over the top.

It’s much bigger than the pictures look. Giant front porch. Giant play area downstairs. Very clean. Decorated beachy theme. We all had fun playing ping pong, walking around Tybee Island, to the beach, to restaurants. Convenient to everything. We had a great time and plan to book here again next year. Thank you so much.

It’s much bigger than the pictures look. Giant front porch. Giant play area downstairs. Very clean. Decorated beachy theme. We all had fun playing ping pong, walking around Tybee Island, to the beach, to restaurants. Convenient to everything. We had a great time and plan to book here again next year. Thank you so much.

I would rent it again. Hopeful next time they have a gas grill or at least a toaster oven and figure a way to make it less damp in the downstairs. Loved the porch.

We had our children, and 4 grandchildren along with the fur toddlers as we do every year. We loved the house and thank you guys for delivering on everything advertised. We are not only planning our next trip, but talking of making our retirement on Tybee now. You guys sold life on an island to us!

This was the perfect place for family get together from 3 states. Plenty of room for all. The outdoor decks were perfect for lots of cards games, meals and fun. Great location to easily walk to the main beach. Would definitely recommend

We were staying for a long weekend in February. While the weather didn’t cooperate, the house was a big hit. It is very cute and yet there was room for everyone. The area under the house was our favorite place to gather and glad ping pong and corn hole. The house was clean and well appointed. We didn’t lack anything. One thing to note is that the two rooms on the lower level are only accessible by going outside and down the stairs. Even with all the rain it was not an issue and didn’t distract from our visit, but it was something we did not know until we got there. We would love to come and stay during better weather some day.

We loved our stay in Tybee at this very comfortable cottage that is filled with southern charm! The two upstairs bedrooms were very large as was the living space. But it was the wrap around porch that stole our hearts! We ate meals there and relaxed there and loved hearing the birds. We also loved that we could walk/ride bikes almost anywhere we wanted to go! The downstairs bedrooms looked comfortable but we didn't need that space. We also had several good ping pong competitions! The kitchen had everything we needed and the beds were very comfortable. We hope to be back!

This house was not like it appeared online.... the down stairs rooms where set up like a motel room with individual doors.. really strange. It was extremely HOTTTTTT up stairs, the temperature was set to be at 20 degrees different from out so, so when it was 100 outside we where sitting in the house in 80/81 degree temp. 😡
Me and my husband had the king room, we had two box fans plus the ceiling fan going just to be a little cool at not which didn't help.
Would I recommend this house NO. If you want a cool place in the summer please don't come here.

My family and I enjoyed our stay at this beautiful vacation rental on tybee. We are from Savannah but none of our houses were big enough for everyone to enjoy Christmas eve and Christmas day. It was an excellent way to spend quality time with my family. I personally really enjoyed the wrap around screened in porch. I recommend this vacation rental to anyone who needs a break. We spent most of our time out there when we weren't on the beach. Plenty of sitting, lighting, and a table to eat our meals at (thank you for the large fan to keep the air moving around!). Perfect for the 4 toddlers we had with us because they could be outside without worry of running out into the street. Large Kitchen and large bedrooms upstairs. Decorated very nicely and not too "beach kitschy". Plenty of books, games and extras to make your stay fun.
The only issue we had was the downstairs bedrooms. Although we knew they were not connected to the upstairs main house ( you have to go outside to access them), we thought that they were connected to each other, not two completely separated bedrooms. We had to rearrange our sleeping arrangements to accommodate this. Not a big issue but it is why we didn't give it 5 stars. Also, the full bath downstairs is tiny and there were no shelves for our toiletries. I think an over the commode shelving unit would help a lot here.
I would recommend this property and we would rent it again.

The area was quiet and friendly. South beach was a 12 minute walk away. The property was comfortable, well decorated, and the owner provided more than we needed. We look forward to our next Tybee vacation.
