About this house rental
Not your typical vacation rental, this is our HOME and we furnish it and care for it as such! We have a family member available to answer your questions and help with your stay should you need anything! We fondly refer to this wonderful property as "The Keys To Paradise." We have a NEW DOCK to add to your enjoyment! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- We are planning to travel and thus, are now offering 30 DAY Bookings/Rentals based on availability! * The name of the game here is respectful family fun and total relaxation * Discounts available for some stays - inquiries welcome! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Much care has been taken during the recent remodel to provide a quality, eye-pleasing and comfortable experience for our guests including two tone paint, new baseboards, doors and trim, hardwood and designer travertine flooring. In addition, this fully remodeled house boasts four bedrooms with comfortable and roomy sleeping. The first downstairs bedroom is private with new Queen Sealy Posturepedic mattress and glass door leading to private deck and water view. The second lower level bedroom provides three single beds suitable for adults as well as children. Upstairs is a large and private master suite with new Sealy Posturepedic King mattress, walk-in closet, fireplace,flat screen television, Queen sofa sleeper and water view writer's nook/office adjoining upper level large private deck for water, nature and mountain viewing! The second upper level bedroom has a new Sealy Posturepedic Queen mattress as well as a new Full size bed in the separate cove area. The two designer full baths are Tahoe inspired. The main bath located on the lower level is equipped with a tub/shower combo and dual sinks. The upstairs master bathroom suite provides relaxation in the Jacuzzi Jetted tub, dual sink designer vanity and a separate oversize shower with dual shower heads and seating bench to complete the luxury. The open concept floor plan offers comfortable conversation-style living with adjoining family room, living room, kitchen and dining area. The family room offers conversation nook seating around the new gas fireplace and large flat screen television. In addition, there is a full size pool table surrounded by additional comfortable seating and a second big screen television. Relaxation and fun are the name of the game here! The gourmet kitchen is fully equipped with new quartz counters, updated cabinetry, designer farm sink, stainless steel gas range, microwave and dishwasher. Pots, pans, dishes, flatware and cooking items are included for easy meal preparation. Serving and dining are easy and efficient at the kitchen island/bar and large dining table complete with breath taking waterfront views. Absolutely no smoking and no pets, please. We loved the property and it's location. The owner was easy to work with as well.

Unfortunately this home did disappoint. Contacted owner prior to booking asking if dock offered as amenity could accommodate our boat, this was the specific reason for booking the home. Told yes, dock could be used. Upon arrival our boat could not in fact even get to their dock, overgrowth of plants and water level have made it unusable. Contacted owner right away as we need dock for 84 year old parents. Also told we could not bbq (It was against the law currently due to red flag warning) Non use of dock resulted in additional expense of $200 per day for launching and storage, walking 1/2 mile each day to launch ramp. Also saw all of the neighbors bbq’ing and asked. Gas grills perfectly ok to use. Outside of home unappealing, grass dead, not as it appears in the picture. Back yard completely dirt, hard access to dock area, uneven terrain, all decks filthy, chairs filthy, no bbq as listed to use, had 6 meals all planned on the bbq. Some type of flying large ant (possible termite) in home downstairs. Asked owner to allow us to leave. Spent 2 days o. The phone for countless hours debating every point. Taking up our prescious vacation time. Just wanted to leave to achieve the amenities we were promised and try to get our vacation back on track. Told to park at neighbors dock but they were there? Told to just try to reach front end of dock, couldn’t do that, couldn’t tie up at all. We would of ever booked the home if the dock was unusable. We needed it for parents and convenience. Overall very bad customer relations. It wasn’t that we just didn’t want to stay, after inquiring it was not as described. Pictures are not as the home is currently. “Catphished”. Be honest about current state of home. It wasn’t that we could not barbecue due to fire it was because there was no barbecue there

This is a spacious house in a great location, on the water at the end of one of the Tahoe Keys canals. Easy access to the water via the small private dock. (The lake level was lower than usual during our stay, so check depth if you're planning to bring a boat. We had no trouble launching paddle boards from the dock.) The Tahoe Keys canals are sheltered and calm, great for paddle boarding or kayaking.
The house was very clean. The house has been renovated with modern kitchen and bathrooms. There are four bedrooms with five regular beds (king, queen, queen, two singles). Two additional mattresses are in a small nook with a low ceiling that connects to one of the queen bed bedrooms (not for the claustrophobic), a sleeper sofa in the master bedroom, and a trundle in the bedroom with the two twin beds (but using the trundle would make a very tight squeeze in between the two twin beds).
The pool table is a nice touch. The house itself is in great condition.
Some of the furniture is worn and should be replaced, especially the table and chairs on the deck. The house would be more attractive with some artwork indoors (the walls are mostly bare) and landscaping outdoors (which I realize is challenging during a drought).

Property was very nice, except the lake water low so the dock was really usable, but that's natures fault. It's was everything you see online, no false advertisements. Check in and out with the host family was simple

Great home and location. And perfect for families. We had three sets of families with younger children and the house was perfect to entertain. The beds were super comfortable. The master bedroom is absolutely beautiful with a lovely balcony overlooking the water. We’re definitely coming back!

Communication with owners was clear and simple. The place was very clean, and we loved having the pool table. The neighborhood was nice and in a great location. A couple suggestions: we wished there were some board games and cards in a closet and maybe a few sleds to borrow. And, I’d say it very comfortably sleeps 8. The 9th bed was a little trundle that’s in a room that’s not big enough to pull it out all the way and the 10th bed was in a little closet/attic area. But, bottom line, it was a very nice stay! Thank you:-)

We were up in Lake Tahoe for the weekend to take snowboarding lessons at Kirkwood Resort. The pictures in the website didn’t do justice. The inside of the home is more beautiful in person than what you see in the pictures. Check in and check out process was a breeze. Jon, the owner was very responsive to my inquiries. During our stay, there was a snowfall on Friday evening, we woke up to a beautiful white scenery of the backyard and the lake. Cupboards are filled with a lot of plates, glasses, cups, cutleries and other kitchen stuff, everything you would need. That’s one less thing to worry about when you go for a trip. Bedroom spaces were just perfect for our group! Plus, that hidden bedroom by the second bedroom upstairs, my boys loved that they can hide in there! Lots of towels!!! The billiard was a nice touch. My boys and the adults had fun playing the billiard. I highly recommend this house.
I would just recommend that the owners post better pictures in the website. Again, the pics in the website didn’t do justice of how beautiful the home is. Thank you Jon for making our stay comfortable.

I will start by saying this is the only negative review i’ve ever written, on VRBO..i’ve stayed over 100 days in Vrbos. We will start with the simpler things the furniture inside the home was almost unusable as far as sitting on couches..Although on the surface it was clean there was filth underneath the couch cushions..
The boat dock that they advertised was a complete hazard as there was absolutely no room for error when backing out of the dock with my 23 foot boat.. You are completely surrounded by other docks and boats, and unless you are a master boatsman you will very likely hurt your boat or other peoples.
All of those things could be forgiven, but the checkout process was what i will never forget or forgive, after leaving their home in immaculate condition and having the home checked out of at 10:30 am. I had run into an emergency and had to take my girlfriend to the hospital, so i had to leave my boat and jet ski in the dock.... i called and let John know about this at which point he told me i have to get my boat out immediately, i told i’m doing my best and will keep him informed this was 11:30 am. He told me had a business to run and i must have the boats gone...
At 12:30 pm a woman named Sandy had called me i’m assuming his wife or mother and started to yell at me, saying what kind of people are you you must get your boat off the the property “we have a business to run”. i told her i have an emergency and am doing the best i can... She said she didn’t care “get your fucking boat off the property” At 1:30 she called me 4 times in a span of 60 seconds, at which point i finally had enough and told her to shove it and yelled at her.. I was finally able to have someone help me at 2:30 while my girlfriend was still in the hospital...Because as i said befor it is literally impossible to back a boatout of their dock with 1 person. Now here comes the interesting part as i had moved to another house down the street. i had kept an eye on their home.... No one had rented their place on August 11th the day i checked out, so instead of trying to be helpful to their customer who had 3500 dollars for 6 days who had an emergency.. They decided to scream and act disgustingly about a boat at their dock that didn’t inpair them in any way shape or form. As no one was renting their home that day or the next

Really appreciated the opportunity to stay in this beautiful home. Remodeled kitchen with view of the water was lovely. Very responsive communication from the owner. Loved having access to the Tahoe Keys HOA amenities by day. Will definitely stay here again!

This house was great! Very clean and updated- the pictures don’t do it justice. We had 10 adults and everyone slept comfortably. There are a ton of couches in the living areas for hanging out and the pool table was an added bonus! We loved enjoying breakfast each morning in the backyard. The check in process was super easy. Will definitely book again!

The owners were very helpful and available to answer any questions we had. The house was beautiful and right on the water which made it so easy for us to get on the boat in the morning and enjoy a full day on the lake. Beautiful inside and out! Would definitely stay there again! :)

Here for a family reunion. Property was close to all our family events. Deck off master bedroom was a great place to sit and read, but was a mess. I swept it off but could of used a major rinse. Overall, it was a great place and we would stay there again.
