About this house rental
Situated in Trinidad, this charming house for R 7,909 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. Sunset House is located on a dead end street with little to no traffic in the town of Trinidad a short walk to everything including beaches & the Trinidad State Park . The ideal location in town with a close view of the ocean and daily gorgeous sunsets from the deck/veranda or without leaving the living room. There are trails across the street leading to the beach and State Park. Just 2/10 of a mile to the heart of town which includes a market, shops, restaurants, tennis court , wine tasting room & marine lab. Our kitchen is well equipped with everything you'd need to enjoy cooking meals & entertaining. There are 4 bedrooms which are attractive and exceptionally comfortable, three of which have cable tv. This is a tri level home with 6- 8 steps between the 2 main floors. and foyer. There are 2 steps down to laundry area. The stairs have handrails. The bedrooms are on the ground floor and are also accessible from the french doors leading to the back yard. All 4 bedrooms are on the same floor which is ideal for families with children. We have a large laundry room with folding table along with wi-fi, cable tv, netflix, dvd/video player, a large amount of dvd/videos, a childs "pack 'n play" playpen, croquet set, plenty of games and a telescope to scan the horizon for whales. Because of the serenity & privacy of the location it is not available for large gatherings or parties. Also visitors requiring more than 5 parking spots (please review the rental agreement for details prior to booking).

We had a family reunion, 21st birthday, and even a surprise marriage proposal wrapped into our stay and this house and we couldnt be happier with our choice to stay here. Arlene, our host, was very attentive and checking in and out was a breeze. The house was very welll appointed and it felt like home. Now I understand why its so popular. From the view, to the nice size bedrooms and yard, we never felt cramped and the pictures really described the house well. If I can ever find a break in the calendar, I would definitely stay here again. Best

What a great vacation home. Has everything anyone would want and plenty of room for the family. Great views, easy walk to beach and town. Arlene easy to work with and helpful at every turn. We are booking again for next year and hope to make it one of our families regular places.

This is a beautiful home with a terrific patio and view. Everything was very clean and comfortable. We loved being able to walk downtown for dinner. The bedrooms were comfortable and roomy. Will definitely stay here again.

Our group loved the house and surrounding area. The house was very nice and was a wonderful place to look out over the ocean from the deck. The house was private, even though you were only a few blocks from so much to do for the whole family. There were restaurants, wine tasting, an art gallery, hikes, a marine laboratory with touch tanks, museum, kayak rentals, and the beach. The beach had incredibly scenery, tide pools and lovely sunsets! The neighborhood was lovely just to walk in. Not to mention the Redwoods and so many other beautiful parks nearby. So sorry we had to leave!

We liked the view, the house, the yard, and the nice walk to the beach. The bedrooms are downstairs, so if someone goes to bed early, they need to tell the upstairs people not to scrape their chairs across the floor, etc.

Trinidad is a fabulous little town with just enough to do. There is is coffee shop, a nice market and a couple of shops all with walking distance to the house. There are great hikes right from the house. The steep walk to the beach is well worth the trip. The beach is second to none. The redwood hikes are close by, try Fern Canyon in Prairie Creek. The house worked well for a family of eight adults. (We could have used two more chairs in the dining room) The grill was clean and in good shape. The deck sunset view is great.

Sunset house is beautiful. The view of the ocean is lovely. The house is large and comfortable. We all felt “at home”. The neighborhood is quiet and centrally located. We were able to walk to local restaurants and shops, and the beach.

We were so happy with the Sunset House. The location is PERFECT! You can walk to everything in Trinidad (grocery store, cafe, art gallery, little shops) all within a few blocks. There is a path leading down to Trinidad State Beach from the street (although steep and windy, my 6 and 10 year olds thought it a great adventure) or you can drive 4 minutes to the parking lot at the beach and walk right on. The house had everything we needed and easily had enough space for all of us. We loved our stay!

Cute house in a great area! This was our first experience with Vrbo and we were very pleased with Sunset House! We liked the retro 70's feel and the comfy accommodations. Everything was clean and well cared for. The flowers and wine on the dining room table upon arrival were a pleasant surprise! The views were incredible, especially the sunsets! The neighborhood is quiet, and the town of Trinidad is quaint with a beautiful beach and cute shops and restaurants. It was easy to get to from the highway and pretty central to points of interest in the area.

All the beds were comforfortable with extra blankets available. The bathrooms all had plenty of towels and soap, shampoo & conditioner supplied. The kitchen had everything we needed with some basic spices, coffee for the first morning, a lovely bouquet of flowers and a local bottle of wine to welcome us. The ocean view from the family room and huge front deck was awesome, especially in the afternoons and sunsets!!! The kids loved exploring the backyard and finding slugs and rolly-polly bugs enjoying nature. Just a perfect house for our family celebration!

Good place for a group
It was a good place to stay for a group of couples and some little ones. The house had plenty of anything you might need. The only downside was there are a lot of steps and there was no way to close them off to keep the little ones from falling. If we rent this place again we will bring a long baby gate, because a standard one wouldn’t be long enough to close off the steps.

The owners always responds right away to my questions and make sure everything is perfect when we arrive. The view off the deck and location in town are perfect for when we come to relax and run our annual Trinidad To Clam Beach Run.

Stayed in this house across the street from my daughter's wedding. Worst storm to hit the west coast all year, but the whole thing was beautiful, and I have some incredible pictures of the sky. Would definitely recommend this house, and would stay here again.

This is a nice, roomy house in an excellent neighborhood. The views to and of the ocean are terrific. It’s within easy walking distance of the cute downtown shopping area of Trinidad, and well located for sightseeing. Eureka is a short drive south, and many, many great redwood hikes and walks are close by. We saw great wildlife in the area: elk, fox, pelicans, seals and lots of shore birds.
The house itself is very comfortable, clean and well stocked. The host was a dream to work with - even left us surprise treats upon our arrival. Highly recommend!

The rental was great! Nice spacious rooms great bathrooms! The deck was perfect! It is a split level house so we just had to keep an eye on the little one! We loved the location nice quiet spot walking distance to restaurants and stores!
