Located in Nelson Bay, on a quiet cul de sac, L'Olivette Bed & Breakfast is 5-10 minutes walk to local beaches, town centre and restaurants, and within a few minute walk to the Tomaree National Park. L'OLIVETTE Olive Room opens up to its own private garden. The room is spacious and comfortable with raked ceilings and exposed beams. It is set with a queen size bed, ensuite with shower and access to a private garden through large French doors. This is our third time staying at L’Olivette and we wouldn’t think of staying anywhere else when we’re in the area. Martine and Yves are amazing hosts and have designed an incredible and peaceful place for their guests. They are extremely consistent and even though it’s normally a couple of years between stays, always remember me and my wife. The room is idyllic, clean and so well cared for. The olive garden is the best thing to wake up to, second only to the delicious homemade French breakfast wheeled out to greet you in the morning to set you up for the day. Can’t recommend highly enough. They are the gold standard in B&B’s. Thank you Martine & Yves! We’ll absolutely be back!

L’Olivette is well located in a quiet cul de sac, central to accessing Nelson Bay, Shoal Bay, and Fingal Beach. Our room was immaculate with artistic touches, chocolates on arrival, a comfortable bed, and a private part of the garden to relax outside. Our hosts were attentive with fascinating stories, and the continental breakfast was sustaining with home-made muesli,fresh fruit, and abundant pastries. We would very much stay again.

Well appointed and beautiful room and gardens. Hospitable hosts that take great care, and we enjoyed fresh french brioche, croissant and baguette with our breakfast. Perfect!

We had a really nice stay. Friendly French couple having a B&B in their beautiful French looking home. Rooms were clean and comfortable with coffe and tea provided. Beautiful veranda in connection to room. Breakfasts was wonderful with homemade bread, brioche, croissants, yoghurt and jams and fresh fruits, granola, butter and tea or coffe. Breakfast was arrange when it suited us so they were very flexible and accommodating. Very friendly hosts! Can warmly recommend to anyone wanting a personal and beautiful stay in Nelson’s Bay!

L'Olivette is an oasis in the middle of a tourist destination. If you enjoy a retreat from the chaos of tourist crowds, then this is the place to stay. The accommodation is charming and comfortable, and the owners are extremely hospitable.

Yves and Martine were excellent hosts. L’Olivette is a Provence inspired B&B in a quiet neighbourhood. I had a stylishly decorated bedroom with an outdoor table and chairs in a private garden. A very enjoyable experience!

The room was absolutely spotless, the private garden was divine. The hosts Martine and Yves were so accommodating and very beautiful people, the breakfast was to die for with home made pastry’s and yoghurt. Will definitely come back here.

What a beautiful B&B - the accommodation, atmosphere and small touches were amazing. Yves and Martine were delightful hosts, and we can’t wait to visit again. Highly recommend anyone to visit. The breakfast was absolutely amazing – homemade brioche, rolls, yoghurt and jam. Wow. Still thinking about breakfast days later.. yum! The bed and linen were so comfortable, can’t wait to visit again.

As soon as we stood out the front looking at the property we felt we’d arrived in France. Once inside, we met the lovely Martine and Yves who made us feel very welcome and the French feeling continued. Our room was so clean, comfortable and our stay was magical. Martine made us home made French breakfast which was amazing. We will continue to tell all of our friends and family and look forward to our next visit to L’Olivette.

I can’t imagine a better place to have started our trip to Australia. Wonderful hosts, a lovely room with some of the nicest bedding ever, a beautiful private garden plus a delicious and generous breakfast including home made yoghurt and breads. It feels like a little touch of Provence and I recommend it whole heartedly. Wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you

Congratulations Yves et Martine. From pulling up roadside we were transported to France (sans airfare & the hassle of travel). The very classy attention to detail from the decor to the linen, even the china & the napkin rings! The beautifully presented breakfast trolley of OJ, coffee, muesli, pastries, preserves , fresh fruit. - all homemade of course. Bliss & so French. Our room was spotless & so beautifully appointed. We were given privacy but were well attended when needed. I truly cannot fault this experience. We have vowed to return.

Martine and Yves was the best hosts of our trip. Their home is very welcoming and they made sure to make us feel at home. Our room was very pretty and spacious. French yoghurt is nothin like Greek yoghurt, I have discovered. The French breakfast is so beautifully presented and all home made, you will want to eat it all! I stayed in September and the garden was in full bloom. Just a joy to sit in that sunny courtyard and relax. The house is walking distance to Nelson Bay - if you’re visiting in peak season you can take all the time you want and avoid the parking tickets! The room is really private and so quiet in the evenings. Martine and Yves are really friendly and happy to share their knowledge of the area. They have some great dining suggestions to offer, too. Thank you for a lovely stay.
