We had a great stay. This place is magical and in the heart of Tuscany with so many beautiful views. The family who owns the place were super friendly and made lots of recommendations to us. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Quiet, lovely pool, amazing views that never get old….and the owners. We had 3 nights here and we can’t wait to come back, we had such a lovely, piece-full time, and I’m gonna miss my chats with Anthony.
Nothing really, it’s just perfect!

Villa La Cappella embodies magic, comfort, peace and happiness. The grounds are beyond gorgeous, the staff go above and beyond to make you feel at home. The food is unbelievable - Chef Giovanna takes everything to another level and cooks with love. The location is brilliant to visit things in the Region such as Florence, Pisa and Siena. This was the hardest place to leave and we already miss it very much. It was an experience that we will never forget and we’ve left a little piece of our heart there.

We loved the place. The roms are big and you find everything you need in them. The family that owns the place is friendly, helpful and so pleasant to have around. The pool is very clean and the view is amazing. The breakfast is fresh made and the dinner menu is also good and traditional. We highly recommend it.

The views are stunning!
The staff was beyond friendly and knowledgeable.
I look forward to future visits.
Zero to dislike really. If I had one complaint it’s that drivers go way too fast outside the gates, but that isn’t the fault of ownership.

I can’t tell you how wonderful a time I had here. it was so restorative. I had great relaxation and got a lot of creative writing done. Everyone was so incredibly friendly and kind. It was a beautiful location and the accommodations were wonderful (and also beautiful). The food was INCREDIBLE! I will definitely be coming back here again. Thank you for everything.

Before we go into detail, the "Villa" is not a "Villa", it's a "Mansion"! This is important to remember, when reading this review! When we booked "la Capella" we did not know what to expect, although the description and review appeared to promise a nice stay! We ended up staying in a 800 years old mansion, with rooms big enough that someone else may build his own house into that room. Everything has class and style of a manor house! Wandering and wondering through the building is great!
The proprietors, who just have taken over the property recently are extremely helpful and friendly people. It's not staying at a hotel, it's staying with friends!
Now to the basics: Rooms are great (as mentioned) and very clean, beds are a bit on the hard side (which I liked, my wife didn't - well....), breakfast is really good. They have a nice pool, which they transformed into some kind of "infinity-pool", but time of the year prevented us from trying. Location is good. There are many places for visiting and quite some good restaurants in close vicinity!
Summing up: Paula, Anthony and staff are great hosts. The building is great (if you're not into fancy new developments) rooms have class, breakfast supplies all you need, and finally location is really good.
One word about location: the Villa is close to Montespertoli. Go there! It's not too touristic, but has some good restaurants and is a nice town!
Well, there's not really something we didn't like. All's quite perfect. Remember, the Mansion is about 800 years old, hence some things are not the latest fashion! There's no "walk in shower", but a rather "climb over bathtub". Did I mention 800 years! Wifi may not be perfect in all areas (800 years & thick walls....).
Finally, the question I ask myself: Would I come again? Yes definitely. Actually already planning! This is a great place with great people!

The owners, Paula and her daughter Marissa, run the place like their home. They were the most gracious hosts.
The room and bathroom were spacious and clean with all amenities, and very comfortable. The attached and fully equipped sitting/dining/kitchenette area was a bonus. The villa felt like home. It's a lovely place to chill out and relax. And yes, they have an elevator! so you don't have to drag your bags up the stairs :)
There are no restaurants close by, the nearest is a 30-45 minute walk. (A beautiful scenic walk, if you like). Hence having transport is necessary to take you around. On the day we arrived, Paula & Marissa very kindly offered to make us pasta or sandwiches for lunch. You could cook up a meal for yourself if you like, since you have to make arrangements for your lunch and dinner - the attached kitchenette to your room has an oven, microwave, refrigerator, pots and pans, crockery/cutlery, you just need to get your ingredients.
The breakfast was excellent, a good spread, with something different every day.
While the location and area are lovely, and the property is beautiful, you must have arrangements for transport if you have to go anywhere. Paula connected us with a transport company that was very efficient. If you go to the town, it's a lovely and scenic 30-45 minute walk, safe during the day but not recommended at night as you have to watch out for speeding cars, although they are few and far between. Marissa very kindly volunteered to pick us up at night from town because it's difficult to get a taxi. The town has some nice cafes and restaurants, there was a festival on while we were there, so we had a great time. Morning walks are beautiful.

Villa La Capella is a fantastic place in the heart of Tuscany.
We booked the superior apartment with terrace for our holiday. It is a wonderful place in the countryside on a hill with beautiful view over the valley. The pictures on booking.com really don't lie.
The host family and employees are very friendly and nice, and can help with all your questions and requests. English is spoken fluently. The apartment is large with a kitchen, bathroom and living room/bedroom. The balcony/terrace is beautiful with a sunbed, table and chairs, parasol and a wonderful view of the valley.
The only small shortcoming was a missing microwave and toaster in the kitchen, but I am sure that these would have been provided, if we had asked for it.
The swimming pool is large and wonderful for a cool dip. It is very clean and cleaned every day.
The location is perfect as a starting point for trips around beautiful Tuscany. And if the holiday is to be enjoyed with total relaxation, stay at Villa La Capella all day and enjoy the pool, nature and silence.
We can only recommend booking the superior apartment with the terrace at Villa La Capella. You will not regret it !
Thanks for these wonderful days !

Excellent location with stunning view from the garden and pool. Great breakfast in a lovely location.
Very hot (for June) and air-conditioning in room would improve comfort of stay.

This is an amazing place to stay near Firenze. We received a warm welcome and enjoyed the hospitality of our hosts. The views across the valley are stunning. The large-sized pool was refreshing and much appreciated in the hot Tuscany sun!

the view, the staff and the breakfast were great
the shower wasn’t convenient and wasn’t working properly. also there was bad smell there.
The lack of air conditioner was the worst. we came in mid June and it was too hot.
Also when we did the booking it stated there is a paid dinner, this was important to us as we were traveling with a young child, however when we arrived we were told that dinner will be possible only a few evenings per week and that they will update us if dinner is possible each day. Eventually, dinner was not served in any of the days (we were there 5 nights).

First of all the staff. The owners are wonderful people easy, always willing to talk and give you some advice and recommendations.
The yard and the garden is huge and beautiful as well as surroundings.

The villa is located in a beautiful area of Tuscany. The waitress who served breakfast was very kind.
The room is very outdated, not rustic. The bathtub leaked and the toilet did not flush. The room presented itself much more nicely in the photos.

Good location

We had a late check in - it was smooth without any trouble so also a big plus
Overall, place was a disappointment and very poor value for money. It is really surpising that it has such high average review on booking.com, it is first time when we saw such a big gap between booking ranking and actual quality. Key minuses of the place, some of them absolutely unacceptable for a place with >9 reviews booking:
1. Our room was facing the street and was super noisy - you could hear every car that was passing by as if you were right on the street (despite all windows closed). It is unacceptable to rent rooms with such poor sound proofing; you basically felt like in the middle of the city, not in the rural tuscany. I didnt have a good sleep during our stay
2. Bathroom was simply tragic - it didn’t have a normal shower but there was a curtain and area for shower was not separated in any way from the rest of the bathroom. There was water all over the place after each shower and the curtain itself was gross - it’s difficult to imagine how many people used that and that curtain is totally wet after each use, not hygienic at all!
3. Breakfast was really average with little choice, if you go 40 mins before breakfast finish then probably you wont have any bread (as it’s already finished and they don’t have more) and cheese and ham will not be replaced (you need to ask separately for more cheese or ham); coffee and service was quite good. Overall, not that bad but could be way better
4. Dinner (optional, not served every day) - similar story to above: there were positive reviews on booking about having dinner there. In reality, the dinner was a rip off. For 36eur per person, it was a big disappointment (typical home cooking dinner you could easility get for 25-30 euros in the area and it will be way better). Here there were no olive oil and bread for the dinner or limoncello at the end (typical for way cheaper restaurants in the area) and dishes were really average and portions small. I recommend going to other places in the area

We were staying one week in the Villa Capella with our kids and we had a wonderful time. Patrizio with his wife and the enitre team are doing a perfect job and made our stay very memorabe. Especially the inside tips of restaurants and attractions made this vacation a very special one. Thank you for a wonderful time.

Super friendly and helpful staff. Clean rooms. Central location, great for exploring the area including the city of Florence.
A few things for us…Pool seemed a little run down - tiles missing and edging broken. Apartment style room apparently doesn’t receive housekeeping. OK, but normally expect this for air bnb type accom. Would have loved to have staples like salt and pepper, oil, various rubbish bags provided for the room etc. Second bed (sofa) was set up in the room alongside the kitchenette which is quite uncomfortable during the 30+ degrees evenings (better/cooler if you don’t use the kitchen to cook or move the bed). Bathroom has open shower meaning floor (incl. toilet, basin etc) gets wet and slippery. Not ideal for young kids.
