The reception and bar staff were really friendly and fun. Our room didn't have a view, but that was ok.
The room was very small. Not a lot of room for luggage. As we were out all day the lack of space wasn't such an issue, but if we had intended to be in our room for any length of time, sitting on the bed would have been a bit much. It didn't appear quite this small in the booking screen/information.
The signage could have been clearer. We found the sign for Room 504, but didn't realise for a minute or 2 that that meant 504A and B. Not ideal in the rain.

Views of the lake were amazing! Huge room, handy to everything, staff were amazing. Guest laundry facilities (free to use) were an added bonus!

The suite rooms are large and comfortable, and have all the amenities you need for a long stay or a stop within a long stay, with a fully equipped kitchen and washing machine and dryer. Bed and pillows are very nice.
Check-in was delayed by 2 hours because house keeping did not have the room ready. While I appreciate the complimentary drink while waiting, nevertheless waiting 2 hours after a long day was disappointing.

Location
The bed was uncomfortable. I understand hotels use zip together beds to have flexibility to let rooms as king bed or twin beds HOWEVER the beds must be pushed together and fastened correctly to avoid an uncomfortable dip in the middle of the bed. The most important thing about a hotel in my opinion is a good shower & a comfortabke nights sleep. We slept poorly.
