Exceptional

Miss Ortelia was perfect for a comfortable short break in Amsterdam. The location was far from the crowded city centre but good public transport. The flat had a very nice view of the Rembrant Park. The breakfast was a nice treat to us. Alberto, the host was very helpful and he made really nice pancakes.

Gentle stay in a quiet and colorful environment with a warm welcome

Very colorful and warm decoration, a host always attentive and accommodating. A king's breakfast and with a great location close to public transport and pretty parks

Superb

Firstly, nice host. Alberto was friendly, kind and helpful. Neat, cosy house with unique interior decoration and great location, facing a beautiful, tranquil park in front. Delicious breakfast. Easy accessability to central, tram station, and shops. It had been satisifying experience and willing to stay again. Thank you, Alberto :)

There is common drawbacks from the building being old and small(narrow) : floor is squeaky and wall is thin, yet didn't bother me during the stay.

Unique and cozy stay with excellent hosts

Staying with Ilario and Alberto is a very unique experience. Few (if any) hosts are this helpful and accommodating, and they provide all sorts of relevant and useful information about Amsterdam. Interior and decor is quite unique as well. Breakfast is continental, with a plentiful selection of teas.

Beware that bathroom is shared and wifi useful in living room only.

Wonderful location and host. We enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it!

We had a great stay here! Very nice location close to the city centre and with view on the park. We had wonderful breakfast and are still dreaming about Alberto's delicious pancakes!

We booked the small room. The space was rather small for two people, but we managed. ;) The bunk bed was a bit squeaky, but comfortable. Note that there is no separate sink in this room and you have to use the bathroom if you need water.

Coolest host ever, very nice details in the apartment, Funky/retro, just an explosion of fun and colours. calm lounge in the morning with a nice breakfast, fantastico. Just Learn the tram lines that are just nearbye and you can go anywhere. Will be back (!)

great location out of the way but close enough to enjoy the centre also

Convenient location, the host was more than welcoming and able to offer advice to get the most out of my stay. the breakfast was luscious and I’ll be sure to come back. thanks Alberto 🙏 The park over the road is a beautiful place to walk, run and ponder.

It's a good experience and definitely want to stay again next time when visiting this city

Although the room is a bit small for two people, it's clean and cozy! The host is very friendly and helpful, he gave us a lot of recommendations as a local. The breakfast is tasty, especially, the homemade pancake. I feel it's even better than the breakfast in the hotel

fantastic

Host was so Lovely and helpfull with Travel recommendations , and weather updates honestly could not fault him, the breakfast was a lovely continental with freshly croissant and amazing pancakes. 10/10

nothing really to say here could not fault the location and the host. we got what we asked for and he made us aware of all the restrictions in good time and i have no issue with anything.

Great location, amazing host, delicious breakfast!

The best part of this B&B is the host, Albert. He was very helpful and knowledgable with things to do in the area (especially if you want a more real Amsterdam feeling- not just tourist areas). We had a wonderful time and loved riding the bikes around everywhere. The room is comfortable and you have everything you need. The breakfast is delicious, especially the pancake!! :)

Alberto is such a friendly person. He made us feel at home. The breakfast was very good. The location is close to the center and you can get around. We even took the night bus to the airport.

The room was really cozy and colourful. Breakfast was perfect! Many options, and the best pancake ever!!! And the owner is such a friendly and polite man! Gave me many tips about the city and made me feel completely comfortable and relaxed! It was the best Hollidays!

Alberto and Ilario are impeccable hosts. The place is not only beautiful but clean and have its own character. If you like antique you will enjoy this place. Breakfast superb and had pancake everyday. Cute cats especially Moira that used to sleep with me :) I had a wonderful time and loads of fun with Alberto :) and of course Ilario too. See you soon per un caffè’ :)

Wonderful accommodation for a stay in Amsterdam

We had great days in Amsterdam. The host is very very nice and gives good tips on what to see in Amsterdam and its surroundings. Breakfast is exceptionally good. Every morning you can get fresh pancakes (hearty or sweet) and eggs with bacon. The accommodation was very nice. The apartment is decorated with loving details. The two cats that live in the apartment are looking forward to a few cuddles :) Thanks again for the super nice hospitality.

Overall excellent, was like home. If you prefer a quite place with character, this is it!

The place was quite good. Please note it is not central, but as the metro/bus/subway system is excellent, to me it didn't make a difference at all. Also, the main station was just a few minutes away and there are restaurants, cafes and a supermarket nearby. Alberto, my host should definitely be rated as a super host. He goes out of the way and was extremely helpful in guiding me on everything from places to visit to how to use the metro system, places to dine and buy cheese, etc. He also gave me a complimentary breakfast, which was quite good. Opposite the apartment, there is a beautiful park as well. They also give out bikes on rent, so an added advantage.

It’s very cozy with a great and relaxing atmosphere, next to a beautiful park.

The front door lock is very capricious, sometimes takes a few mins to unlock.
