This is exceptionally clean Hostel with well maintained kitchen, reading room, bathrooms and rooms. Perfect location just walking distance from Lake Tekapo and its main shopping and restaurant area. We walked from the Hotel at midnight to the Church of the good shepherd for star gazing which was great experience. The walk from the Hostel to the Lake Tekapo is perfect with amazing view of snowy mountains and lake tekapo. Even its a Hostel, it also has its own private parking space which I liked. As there is no reception and dedicated staff, your keys are kept perfectly at the man less reception with instructions which was great. The common kitchen and living/reading room areas is quite big and well maintained with interesting items displayed. The snowy mountains view from the Hostel is also great. The website shows pet animals like hamsters, but they were not there in August when we visited, may be due to winter season.

Cozy place. Quiet. Clean showers and kitchen. Easy check in and check out.
Quite a walk from town center. Tight parking slots when fully booked.

Communication is definitely not a strength; the room was right beside the shower, which was dripping for a long time every time someone used it, and it's one of those with metal floor, so you can imagine the noise.
