breakfast variety was good, staff refilled the breakfast buffet in time, timeslot could be longer, not only from 8-10 a.m. Location is really central, very close to Kurfürstendamm. Our 3 pax room was big with own bathroom, beds were comfortable, TV flatscreen worked.
Personnel at the reception could be more friendly. We booked via booking.com and they could not find our booking. Instead of solve this, I was asked to clarify this.

Staff were friendly and helpful apart from a blond German woman on Wednesday or Thursday morning, in the office. She was rude, unhelpful and quite scathing about my request for help with the password for the web. All of the other staff including foreign staff were excellent. The blond lady was the exception to the rule
The blond member of staff.
A proper amd reliable working lift.
Tea making facilities and more than one coat hanger in the wardrobe!

Good location.
What can you say about a hotel that lists toilet paper as an extra service? Not too clean. Thin and hard mattress. Stale cornflakes and a very limited choice- toast or toast for breakfast. Not recommended!

This is a lovely little Pension just off one of the most expensive shopping streets in Berlin. It is easy walking distance from the train station and fairly central.
Room was basic but clean and comfortable.
I can’t say that anything was not right. It was a value for money hotel/pension in the heart of the city.

Breakfast was included. Exactly what it said - no frills hotel!
Got a little confused on arrival, but got there eventually!

Very good location
Breakfast was very poor and the bed is really not comfortable…

The place is nice but very basic, we had a big room and a balcony and that was great for our 3 kids. The shower is small but hot water all the time and great water presure. The location is the best part - close to everything, parking all around and made our stay at Berlin awsome.
Breakfast is good but also basic and everyday is exactly the same - we stayed for 8 days....

The oldness of the building
Some of the front desk people were not very welcoming.

Location, Check-Out whenever, Staff, no mold contrary to some reviews, charm of the building including rooms
They forgot to add second sheets and towels, even tho we booked a double room, but after asking twice the problem was fixed

Breakfast, location and wifi all exceeded my needs

Location is great.
The place is shabbhy, has poor facilities and needs upgrading. There are virtually no free elctric plugs in the room, in this day with computers and phones, that is simply not possible.

The only problem is the staff can't speak English

NOTHING.
Everything must be improved. I think that this type of "hotel" shouldn't stay on booking and that booking must do something against them. Starting from the check-in experience, was with an old Russian lady who wasn't able to speak either English or German but only Russian. As soon as we entered our room (a three-single beds room) we stored our luggage and immediately left the room for visiting Berlin. When we came back to the "hotel" (at around 19.00) we realized that the room was too small, looking different from the images from the booking reservation and, most important, it was a very dirty, dusty full, uncomfortable and freezing room. We went immediately to the reception asking for assistance. Unfortunately, we were in front of a sad surprise, the reception is unavailable during the afternoon/night but there is only a "room master", so if you face some problem... hold on until tomorrow morning.
We tried to reach the Russian lady from the check-in through the phone. She replied and said that they were searching for another room available. After it, she called the room master and talked to him in Russian. The result? No rooms were available, I must have waited for tomorrow morning to talk to her. We went back to the room, called Booking (which was useless as well, saying that the booking platform is just a supermarket where people can offer you anything they want if fraudulent and booking has no power or responsibility on that.), and then we called another time the lady which, this time, said that because when we did the check-in we used the shower (not true at all. in addition, how can you know if we used the shower or not? have you entered the room without my permission?!) we must have waited until tomorrow morning in order to change the room.
The following day we went to the reception and all their Russian family was there waiting for us. We asked politely another time for a room change but they denied our request.

invoice; creaking floors; breakfast poor

Horrible bathroom. The toilet was literally in the middle of the small bathroom, I had to get over it to access the shower.

Nothing
It is extremely dirty around radiator which is hidden. Pillow is unusable, no reception. The cheap place is in expensive are in Berlin with no possibility to have a meal for reasonable prices. Breakfest is not included, you are forced to buy it with no option not to buy it.
