The overall process of booking the property, check in, and check out was smooth. The property is very close to Gatlinburg downtown. The owner was very approachable and was connected with us throughout the process to ensure we are prepared and have timely information.

Very nice cabin, with plenty of room to congregate or have your own space. Nice up to date appliances, and the hot tub and pool table were great. Easy access from the road, and a short drive to downtown Gatlinburg. Super easy check in and check out, and great communication with the owners.

The cabin was a great place to stay! The accommodations were family friendly!!

We had the best time! The cabin is incredible l would love to go back someday. I was really impressed by the workmanship and design of the cabin. All top notch finishes.
We did have some bear sightings which made it fun!

We loved the cabin. Had plenty of room for everyone. Played pool, watched the bears, they even came right across the front porch!! The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to cook meals for the whole family each night. The huge walk In shower in the master bedroom with the chair in it was great for my 80 year old parents and everyone loved the mattresses. Couldn’t have ask for better owners to rent from either. Any questions we might have had they were very quick to respond. Am overall great experience.

The cabin was everything advertised. The owner was super responsive and made everything very simple. We were even entertained by bears as we sat on the front porch…from inside the door of course. We would definitely stay there again!!

Saw bears as soon as we pulled up, a mama and 3 cubs, who visited daily. Also saw quite a few males. Cabin is very nice. Had a great time

Chalet was exactly as represented. All necessary amenties available. Thought we were not going to have opportunity to see bears and as we were getting into car to leave a Mother bear and her 3 cubs strolled by to bid us farewell. Was simply precious.
Had some difficulty with reservations from VRBO but as soon as owner, Stephan, was made aware he was immediately responsive and corrected issue.
Great location to downtown Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Private and peaceful.
Thoroughly enjoyed!

Wonderful clean cabin! Awesome bear sightings!
Great place for a large group to vacation!
We had a wonderful time and enjoyed all the room it has for meals and games.

We had a family group of eight stay at this property. There is plenty of room to come together; but, also room for quiet time. The house is clean. Plenty of parking for four cars. The beds are comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped. There are 3 different outdoor spaces that are good for safe bear watching. Watch for the mother bear and her cute triplets.

Our family had an amazing weekend and loved the property. We had multiple bear sightings so it definitely lived up to the name.

Great property with tons of space to relax and enjoy your vacation! It was nice and cool in the cabin when we arrived, and was in the perfect location. We were only 20 minutes from Dollywood and 10 minutes from all the great restaurants and shops on Parkway. There were games for the kids to play, a poker table with cards where we played war and crazy eights, and a great pool table. They had tvs in every room and fully stocked bathrooms with toilet paper and fresh towels. Directions were all super easy to follow and there were great recommendations for restaurants nearby. There were only a few things to note that might have been better, but would not have changed our decision to stay here: 1) bed downstairs was really loud and creaky when you moved at all, got on/off. 2) neighbors on both sides were really loud and noisy all hours of the day/night. Not this property’s fault, just keep in mind before you book! 3) upstairs bedroom was a lot warmer than the rest of the house. Didn’t bother my kids that slept there though! Overall a great place to stay and we would definitely book with them again!

Had a wonderful stay at the cabin! When we checked in there was a little mix up with the cleaning company, but it was fixed quickly and we enjoyed watching the bears come to the property daily. Close enough to downtown to drive down the mountain for the day, but far enough away from the hustle and bustle. We had 10 adults staying there and never rain out of hot water or felt cramped. Plenty of parking for our 4 cars and still room in the driveway. Would definitely recommend staying at this property. Will rent from them again!

I loved the cabin, the cleanliness and all the bedrooms. We did have a ant problem in the loft bedroom. We had a great time. Would love to come again.

We loved our stay here. Large enough for a family of 6 adults and 2 kids, ages 7 and 5 and still had the cozy cabin feel. There were bears all around the cabin everyday which made our trip more memorable. Great location. The kitchen was well stocked for everything we needed for the week. We would definitely return.

This property is in a great location for so many activities! Over Gatlinburg is just around the corner with lots of fun things for the family. The chalet village, pool and activity center is beautiful with lots of opportunities for swimming and tennis and other fun family activities.
This property is clean, the kitchen is well stocked with cookware and dishes, the owners are easy to communicate with.
I highly recommend this as a wonderful vacation spot.

Great property and location. Owners very helpful and responsive. Definitely a lot of black bears.

My family & I very much enjoyed our stay at Bear Sanctuary. It was clean, plenty of room for all of us and conveniently located to downtown and the National Park entrance. Best of all, we saw bears twice out in the back!
4.0
The property was easy to access since we had one person with some physical limitations. The kitchen was well stocked, the bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious. They had a good front porch for socializing after fishing. Suggestions, add a better option for disposing of grill coals and some of the furniture is starting to show a bit of wear, replace or refinish. Overall, a solid rental.

Wonderful area, especially if you like hills lol!!! There are a lot of bears in the area! If you’re lucky you might see the family of four! The hosts communicated very well also!

Great house for a family and close proximity to Gatlinburg and National Park. There were six of us and we didn't use the pull out. We saw one bear break into a neighboring home's vehicle and walk away with some food so heed the warnings. Mountain roads are a little scary but not as bad as other neighborhoods. Great home base for a vacation in the Great Smoky Mountains. The Cherokee Restaurant was also a good recommendation.

We enjoyed this lovely, well appointed cabin. The furnishings and decor were perfect for a weekend get away and the kitchen was stocked with all of the cookware and dishes we needed for our group. The decks on the front and back of the house made for enjoyable evenings outside.

All of the beds are very firm. There is no hot water after two people take a show; this has been mentioned before in reviews. The hot tub had no privacy & neighbors are close on both sides. Nice heated, gas, electric fireplace place w/timer. Bring your own toilet tissue/paper towels as you will run out.

We had 7 adults who were in the area for a surprise engagement! We had a great stay! The cabin was perfect for us! It was just a short drive into Gatlinburg! The hosts were fantastic and we would definitely stay here again!

This cabin provided a perfect place to spend time with our distant family. We had our son and his family who stayed on the lower level, our daughter who stayed in the upper level and we stayed on the main level. It was so convenient for everyone. We visited Ober, Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge.

This was the perfect place for a long weekend with friends. It’s exactly what we wanted when we were looking for a cozy mountain house. It was clean and had ample space for everyone. The proximity to Ober mountain was fantastic too. We had a great time staying here!

Very close to Ober Gatlinburg. Beautiful house. Hot tub very nice after a day skiing

Cabin was comfortable and had plenty of separate bedrooms/ bathrooms for a family of four plus two grandmothers
It gives an authentic cabin feeling that is great, when in the mountains.
Access is easy and location is perfect. Close to Ober and Gatlinburg. You can take the "back road" when Ober traffic is long and back up; but still be near the top of the mountain.

The cabin was amazing and we will return!!

My family and I enjoyed the convenient location of this house, a quick drive down to Gatlinburg and only 20-25 minutes to Pigeon Forge.
PRO’s: The beds were comfortable and 2 of the showers (main floor master and the only downstairs bathroom) were amazing! The kitchen, although small had everything we needed. Parking was easy and plentiful. The drive up to the house was a breeze, once we figured out the back route. TV’s were great, with actual cable service (many properties don’t have this) and WiFi was fast! The owners were also extremely responsive and very friendly.
CON’s: The other 2 showers (upstairs and random main floor full bath) left us feeling like we were camping in an RV…veryyy small. We ran out of hot water every night, even after staggering shower times. The rugs in all of the room need to be replaced/cleaned. We were also a bit disappointed the fireplace didn’t put out any heat. The listing pictures make the property seem much larger than it is and the property also lacks the Mountain View’s we are accustomed to while vacationing in the area.

My daughters came from Atlanta and Houston with their infants and husband. We joined with my parents ( both 80) to hang out, babysit and do a couple hikes. We struggled in the gold front. Didn’t know we could leave the dogs at the house without us . And if course the park doesn’t allow dogs. Ended u going to one path which allows dogs near the visitor center. Unfortunately it was taped off and close due to hear activity. Our dogs are quiet and chill- they are left behind on many occasions so this was unfortunate to not know ahead of time. We didn’t get a hike in but the views are great and we walked all over the hilly neighborhood. Saw some cute bears but they seemed unfazed and of course we respected their space. House is clean and large. Downstairs shares a bathroom on with 2 bedrooms. Main floor and upstairs had a private bath. And a full bath next to the living room. No carpet which is nice and beds were comfortable. Loads of tvs also! We played cards on the deck and made some dinners. Nice trip / great house

We only stayed a couple days but it was wonderful. The location was perfect just a couple minute drive from downtown. The cabin very clean which is a huge plus. Only down fall was the hot water ran out pretty fast when all of us took a shower. However I would stay at the cabin again.

Cabin was in a great location, and communication was excellent. Issues were promptly responded to by property manager.

Cabin was exactly as described. Owner was quick to reply to messages. The cabin was well appointed and had everything you could need. Close to the center of the action but far enough away to have peace and quiet

We loved the cabin, it was clean and had a space for everyone. There were bears everyday. The up stairs was hard to cool down, which made it hard for them to sleep. Overall a great cabin, would stay there again.

Loved our visit. Great location, very user friendly and owners were incredibly responsive.

Bear Sanctuary is close to town and has everything you need. Very clean and comfortable. We had visits from bears. Mama and two cubs, and a couple others. Fun to watch. We didn’t have any problems with the Bear getting into our vehicles. Kept them locked and no food in them. Used the bear safe garbage cans provided. This place is great!! Would love to come again!
