Situated in Kanab, this charming house for R 2,488 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. Summary: Our family and pet-friendly home is the perfect place to relax and recharge after a day of exploring southern Utah! At the end of the day, you'll love coming back to your own private hot tub to unwind and soothe away the miles of hiking you can do here. The Space: Hayduke's Hideout is a spacious home with four bedrooms and two bathrooms designed with your comfort in mind! We're located on a quiet street only a block away from Jacob Hamblin Park and the Kanab City swimming pool & skatepark. Our home has been renovated with central air conditioning and heating. The Neighborhood: You're just blocks from the center of town and you can walk to shops, restaurants and our parks. You'll be able to hike directly from our home to many of the trails surrounding Kanab. There's plenty to do with state and national parks nearby, but if you're looking for something more low-key for a day or two, consider the local hikes featured on the flyers in our house book: Squaw, Bunting and K-hill, all offering wonderful views. As well, Jacob Hamblin park has a playground, field, pool with slides, splash pad, and tennis/pickleball courts; Kanab City Library is nearby and often has books for sale; Ranchos Park has great baseball fields; Best Friends Animal Sanctuary has great guided tours (they welcome donations). Also consider the local restaurants, bakeries, and ice cream shops. We love some of the local tour companies; they can make your travel time far more productive and enjoyable. Many of them even offer early morning pick-ups from Kanab. Equestrian and biking trails are also available. Getting Around: This home has convenient access to Hwy 89A/89 which takes you to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, Zion and Bryce National Parks, Lake Powell, as well as the north rim of the Grand Canyon. Here in southern Utah a vehicle is required to get around in town and beyond. We recommend a 4WD vehicle with high clearance if you intend to go off-road to out of the way places. Page, AZ airport is 1 hour away; St. George, UT airport is 1.5 hours away; Las Vegas airport is 3 hours away. Other Things to Note: Guests must sign a separate Hot Tub Use & Safety Agreement in order to use the hot tub. Failure to do so will result in the cancellation of your reservation. Again, this property is a pet-friendly property and does require a $75 pet fee if you plan on bringing your furry friends. Pet Policy: Pets are NOT allowed to be unattended in the home at any time, please understand and respect our policy. We offer a free concierge service with some great recommendations! Kanab is situated in the "Grand Circle" area and known as the "Hub of the Parks", centrally located among Zion National Park (30 miles), Bryce Canyon National Park (77 miles), the Grand Canyon (North Rim - 80 miles). You can also visit Pipe Springs National Monument (21 miles), the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument (15 miles), Vermilion Cliffs National Monument (77 miles), Coral Pink Sand Dunes (20 miles), Kodachrome Basin (93 miles), Lake Powell/Glen Canyon Recreation Area (75 miles), the "Wave"/Paria Wilderness (50 miles), Horseshoe Bend (77 miles), Cedar Breaks National Monument (65 miles) and so much more. It also features the High Noon Parade (with Longhorn cattle), Country Battle USA (great music!), Cowboy Poetry, a terrific vendor fair, a rodeo, and much more - not to mention yummy food! Please come, bring the family, a few great friends, have wonderful adventures, build some lasting memories and let our home be yours. Lovely house to stay at in the Kanab area. Hot tub with a view is relaxing after hiking or shopping around the area. 2 bedrooms on main floor and 2 in basement was great for our family. Plain and simple (pet friendly so no extras) yet lovely to come back to your own private spot to relax.

This home is a great location. We hit up Lake Powell/Glen Canyon, North Rim Grand Canyon, Bryce and Zion. After long days, it was great to come back to comfy beds and the hot tub.
Kanab is a charming town with lots to offer too-between that and all of the national parks it's impossible to see it all in just a week.
The host was very attentive and even dropped off a cute little Independence Day goody bag for the kids :)

This is a big comfortable house in Kanab. A good spot to stay while exploring Zion, Bryce, the Grand Canyon etc. Lots of steps, minimal landscaping but a beautiful hill right behind & a fenced yard. Hot tub & bar-b-q worked fine. Host was very responsive.

We had fires, hot tub every night, cooked meals, hiked nearby trails, etc. Close to national parks. Beautiful. We would definitely stay there again!

This was a perfect place for four couples. Each had their own room and there was plenty of space to hang out as a group. Nice touches include a well-stocked kitchen, great smelling shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom and comfy beds. The neighborhood was beautiful and we enjoyed evening strolls. Along with the national parks, try and get to Peekaboo Canyon - such a treat!

We chose Kanab as a launching point to the National Parks in the area. We chose this property because it fit our needs for four bedrooms and comfortable living space. We made several meals in the house and found everything we needed to make breakfasts and dinners. The bedrooms and beds were comfortable and the house was cool despite the outside temperatures being 110 degrees F. We experienced a power failure and the house manager was in touch frequently to see how we were doing . This was NOT an issue with the house, but a widespread blackout. I have been thinking about anything I would improve at the house and can only think of one thing - the hot tub maintenance. Maybe we are crazy for wanting to use a hot tub when the water temperature is less than the air temperature, but after a long day of hiking we thought the hot tub would be good for our sore muscles. I don't feel the hot tub was regularly maintained before or during our stay. Other than this one item, the house was the perfect place to stay for our journeys to AZ and UT National Parks. I would definitely recommend and stay here again.

I stayed here with a group for a week and we had a wonderful time. I was super impressed with the home, it was quite spacious and well appointed with comfortable beds and a nice kitchen. The living room was large with a cozy couch and chairs, and there was dining space indoors and out with plenty of seating for everyone. We loved the outdoor space, the hot tub was very large and nice and we were very happy to have a grill to use. It was July in Kanab, so temperatures were really high during the day, but it was always pleasant inside. The location of the house was perfect for us; a couple minutes walk from the public pool and a very nice park, and about 10 minutes walk to the main drag in town with restaurants and grocery stores.
Cody was extremely responsive to our requests during our stay, and was so nice. That was very much appreciated. Check in and check out were a breeze. I'd definitely recommend this property to a group of 8 or fewer, and would 100% stay here again. Thanks Cody!

Overall, it was a good stay. The home is older, and has an older design, but comfortable. Electronics worked great. Hot tub in the back is a nice and comfortable feature. Check in and out was easy.
Small street. Has ample parking in a driveway, but may not be ideal for trailer with offroad vehicle, etc.
Cockroaches in the basement. Considering it is in the desert, not surprising.

The property was decorated nicely with beautiful artwork and had the right amount of bedrooms and beds to fit our needs. Not a ton to do in the area but it worked for our visit to some of the canyons. Beds were comfortable, spaces were clean. BUT we had ants and a few other bugs from the minute we checked in. Had to keep all of our food in the refrigerator to keep the ants from it. Every morning there were ants on the ceiling in the kitchen, in the sink and on the countertops. We did notify the owner towards the end of our visit and he thanked me for letting him know so he could address. Would also suggest a curtain in the downstairs basement windows. Nice place overall, great for larger family or group.

Exactly as described.
Great option in Kanab. You can't beat the location if you are doing the parks. It's very central to Zion, Bryce, and the North Rim. Super close to Best Friends. The house is very well equipped with everything you need. The owner was very quick to respond with any questions. There is what looked to be a really nice park within walking distance if you had small children. We would absolutely stay here again when we are in the area.
