Condo is on a third floor, NO elevator. Solare-Bahia Mar has 24-hour security and is one of the largest properties on the island. The fun is endless in this slice of paradise. This two-level condo is contemporary, bright, surrounded by splendid views and decorated with impeccable taste. The living area is spacious and has a great bar to entertain. The current kitchen is fully equipped with new stainless-steel appliances and keurig coffee maker, a breakfast bar and everything you need to prepare meals with your loved ones. HOUSE RULES • Maximum occupancy limit: 8 adults + 2 children (age 12 and under). • No invited Guests are allowed. • To give access to the property it is necessary to sign the registration form and provide a valid ID (with photo and signature). • No smoking allowed • Minimum age to rent is 21 • All persons are required to wear wristbands. • Check in begins at 4:00 pm. Check out time is 11:00 am. • No pets allowed. • Rental includes two parking permits. Additional temporary parking permit may be purchased on site for an additional fee. Boats and trailers are allowed into the property for an extra fee. No R.V.'s or motor homes will be allowed on property. • BBQ Grills: Available in the designated “Palenque” area. Perfect for a lovely outdoor meal with family or friends. 2 Burner BBQ Grill: $40.00 and 4 Burner BBQ Grill: $50.00 • Our rental properties are family oriented. Good behavior is expected from our guests, respect for property rules and other guests. No parties allowed. Minimum age to rent is 21 and must be present during the entire stay. • We kindly request that guests respect the Resort/HOA rules. The stay was enjoyable and the location was quiet yet close to most everything. Large selection of restaurants in the area.
The beach was nice, but the water was cold this time of year. Pool is not heated so our swimming was limited, although poolside was nice except for the windy days.
Local boat tours were great and we had a lot of fun. Tour to the Port of Brownsville was very informative.
Staff was very friendly.

We were able to get an early check-in, which was greatly appreciated; however, after carrying our luggage up 3 floors, our unit wasn't ready. Once able to get in, we dicoveref there was a broken bed in the upper bedroom and the A/C didn't work. The Staff was aware of the situation. We had several calls in to the property manager and while they were responsive, the AC was never fixed and we were not notified that it wasnt going to be.
Also, wouldnt call the unit stocked with kitchen supplies. Only 2 coffee cups, no pizza cutter, baking pans or dish cloth and the water pressure in the kitchen sink was terrible. 2 bath towels for each bathroom. We also found drug parafinilya in the TV cabinet. Wouldn't stay again.

We loved our condo, it was beautiful, exactly like the pictures, beach access, view of the beach from several of our balconys. Only downside, the ac unit in the upstairs bedroom had several error messages, would turn on and off and then on our last night it stopped working completely. We ended sleeping downstairs because it was just too hot.

All very nice, a few issues, patio needed sweeping from the shingles, and upstart patio light you could not shut off, therfore to bright to sleep in that room

We had a relaxing time at the VRBO on South Padre. The furniture was a little worn. And the kitchen was very lacking in basic kitchen ware (cups, utensils, NO condiments or spices), but overall we enjoyed our time. The condo needs some maintenance, but it worked well for our 2 families of 4. The view is beautiful and the sound of the ocean was perfect for sleeping and relaxing on this trip. The property management reacted quickly to our requests, but there were multiple little requests during our stay.

First impressions weren’t great. We thought the photos much nicer than the property. The location to the beach was awesome but the pool was very crowded. We had a few issues with the AC but they were quickly fixed. By a very helpful staff. Cynthia Gomez was amazing. Before I could get annoyed at a problem, she had it fixed.

What an awesome place. The condo was excellent and as described. This property is walking distance to Claytons and Bar Louis. The waves were great and fun for our teens. At night their is a grill area that all the teens on the property hang out at. They had the time of their lives.

What an awesome place. The condo was excellent and as described. This property is walking distance to Claytons and Bar Louis. The waves were great and fun for our teens. At night their is a grill area that all the teens on the property hang out at. They had the time of their lives.

The furniture is old and rundown. The kitchen is barely stocked - no cutting board, four tiny coffee cups, and not a single plastic cup (so hope your kids don't break the glasses). Even the utensils were cheap and dingy. The shower walls have big holes in them where maybe a glass shower door used to hang? They use shower curtains now.
The saving grace of this place is the balcony, which is spacious and has the perfect ocean view. Given the price of this place, though, the view isn't enough to make up for the overall low quality of the experience.

Had a group of 7 including a teenager, 4 year old, and 3 year old. Check in process was a breeze! Unit was clean with an amazing view! Property is close to everything! Not disappointed. The only things I would suggest for improvement was include more toilet paper and the beds were not the most comfortable.

Great girls trip getaway
The property was beautiful with the condo being much closer to the water than pictures looked. Condo was clean, washer/dryer on site was very convenient. Outdoor furniture and living room couch could use an upgrade. Any questions I had were answered quickly. Note the outdoor pools are not heated and I wish the hot tub hours were a little longer at night. Beautiful sunrises could be seen from the condo and it was great having some patio furniture by the pool deck overlooking the gulf for use as well.

When we arrived we immediately noticed that most of the outdoor seating area cushions were missing. Only one seat cushion was present and only one back cushion for another section. One love seat was totally broken and unusable. We also noted that the couch in the living room had crumbs all over it and it hadn’t been cleaned. We called the property manager to inform them of the outdoor furniture issue and crumbs. They said maintenance would be over to address. Never saw them. Received an email reiterating they would bring replacement cushions in the morning. They never showed.
That first night we learned there was no instructions on how to use the main bedroom’s tv as there were three remotes and we were unable to operate them. We also noted there was a light bulb burnt out that lit the spiral staircase. This was a huge safety issue as those stairs were treacherous in the dark. We called again and left a message. We never heard back. We called later in the day and never heard back. For the rest of our stay we never saw or heard from the management company and none of our concerns were addressed. I do not feel like we got what we paid for at all and I’m extremely disappointed with this rental.

Great Family Condo and secure property in South Padre
The condo is part of a group of condos called Solare/ Bahia Mar. The property is secure and well-maintained. The check in/ check out process was smooth and easy. Security was always present and pleasant.
The condo itself is the top floors of a 3 story building. View overlooks the pool and the then the water. Very nice to sit and watch your kids playing. Deck furniture could use a little upgrade.
Condo was immaculately clean. Maintence came twice while we were there to fix upstairs AC unit and smoke alarms and they were fast and professional. Washer Dryer is outside door but private for the unit which made things easy.
Unit is a bit sterile - would have been nice to have little things like salt and pepper and coffee type of condiments there and board games for kids like other vacation rentals often have, but maybe they were just been exceptionally careful in this covid world.
Property management communicated by text with me quickly and professionally and were very responsive. For instance we couldn't find a broom in the condo to sweep up the sand and they had one sent up right away.
Overall, very positive experience with the property and the condo. We would definitely return.

Property was great! View was the best in the complex. Beach was a great private beach. Definitely recommend the tent and chair rentals for your beach days. You can walk to restaurants. Street side and beach side.
Having laundry right there was a great plus to wash towels after the beach.

The only complain I would have, is the need for the right cookware & silverware for 8 people meal preparation. We love to cook but it was a little challenging to prepare the meals to feed 8 people at the same time. We did it but in shifts.
I would stay here again and recommend it to others.

Six of us moms had a 3-day getaway here. We had so much fun! The pool was beautiful, Clayton's is right nearby so we would go there for lunch. They also have a taco truck a little further down that is delicious! We also did a dolphin tour but opted to do a private charter instead of one of the bigger cheaper ones. Look up Henry's dolphin charter! You won't be disappointed. The intimacy for the price was well worth it! The condo was great, the location was great, and we had a wonderful time. The biggest problem that we had was getting transportation from the airport so it would maybe be best to just rent a car.

The unit was nice and very clean. The bedrooms felt too small with trying to cram beds in the space. The airflow quality in the back bedroom with no windows was challenging to get the temp accurate. I would suggest a ceiling fan.
