About this house rental
Nestled in Carolina Beach, this attractive house for R 7,824 per night is a fantastic choice for your next vacation. As of 10/16/2023 we were made aware that the beach access directly across the street, Sea Oats Access, and the access north of the property, Salt Marsh, are currently closed due to beach erosion. The closest beach access is the Sand Fiddler Access which is approximately a block south of the property. "Dolphin Watch" is a six-bedroom, three-bath home with a reverse floor plan that has gorgeous ocean views, natural light, and room for the whole family, making it the perfect vacation spot! Located on the North end of Carolina Beach, your family is within walking distance of the North End Fishing Pier, the High Tide Lounge, and Freeman Park. The primary bedroom is located on the first floor. With a King size bed, two closets, a beautiful en suite with double vanities and a garden tub, this room is a real retreat. A large deck across the front of the home is shared between the primary and the second bedroom. The second bedroom has a Queen bed and a Jack-and-Jill bathroom that connects to the third bedroom. The third bedroom has a Queen bed and features a private, stand-up deck perfect for enjoying the salt air. Bedroom four is also on this level and has a day bed with a trundle. The laundry area with stackable washer and dryer is located on this floor. The top floor has two more bedrooms and the main living area. The fifth bedroom has a Queen bed. The sixth bedroom has a Queen, a bathroom that is also accessible from the hall, and a private, stand-up deck. The main living area boasts a large, open floor plan with the dining area and kitchen. East-facing windows and sliding glass doors to the deck create a sunny, cheery atmosphere. Enjoy the sunrise over the ocean while you drink your morning coffee or have breakfast on the deck where you can easily "Dolphin Watch" for hours! The kitchen has all the appliances you will need to prepare your favorite meals: oven, electric range, microwave, and double-door fridge with freezer drawer. The dining table has seating for eight, and the island has three bar stools - eat in or order takeout from one of the island’s many fantastic restaurants! The beach access directly across the street gives a front row seat to a beautiful ocean scene with rock formations. The Town of Carolina Beach will be re-opening this access after its yearly maintenance due to erosion. Until then, it’s just a short walk to the access one block over where you can set up all day! A wagon is supplied with the home for pulling your beach toys, towels, and coolers. Don’t miss out on this home- you’ll want to come back any time of year! It is dog-friendly, so bring your best friend with you. Occupancy: 12 Stay Requirements: Saturday to Saturday rental in Summer. Minimum two night stay other seasons. Bedding Configuration: 1 King, 4 Queen, 1 Day Bed with Twin Trundle Parking: Parking for four vehicles Pet Policy: Pets welcome with a nonrefundable fee of $200. Maximum of 2 pets per reservation. Prohibited: Boat Trailers, Smoking, RV’s, Boats, Grills, Charging Golf Carts, Mail and Packages are not able to be sent to the rental. My family and I wanted a get a way at the beach and this was better than our dreams. This property was perfect and was equipped for my one year old son (crib and baby gate). The layout of the property was perfect and spacious. I highly recommend this property for an amazing family weekend.

Other than a few missing amenities -- a working dishwasher and at least one hairdryer (which I assume will be addressed), it was a great place for seven friends who needed five 'adult' rooms. Loved the location across from the beach and proximity to the wonderful Tiki Bar on the peer. I did find it a bit strange that you had to make your own bed.

Dishwasher wasn’t working. With 10 people in the house eating at home this was a HUGE inconvenience. When maintenance came out he indicated that it’s been acting g up and thought they fixed it. Guess Not!

Great location, not very clean
Positives: great location with beautiful views and beach access just across the street (open in June, 2022). It was quiet and we had no issues with location. It was affordable for 6 bedrooms which we needed. It was comfortable and had enough seating and kitchen stuff. The deck was large with beautiful views. It had cute decor.
Negatives: it wasn’t very clean. We found a baby toy in the middle of the floor and a pacifier on the couch so we know those weren’t swept. Our feet were black within minutes of walking on the floors. We ended up buying our own swiffer to clean it ourselves. The dishes all needed washed before we could use them too. Also, the mattress pads in the kids room beds (day bed and crib) were filthy and sand covered. I had to remove them. There was also someone else’s T-shirt hanging in that closet. There were 2 safety issues. The door to the top balcony and the one off the master bedroom wouldn’t lock. Our toddlers could then open the door by themselves and get out. The slats on the railing were horizontal which meant they could climb it. Luckily my boys listened when I explained they couldn’t go out by themselves but a more rambunctious toddler may be unsafe there. I put in a maintenance request and they came but couldn’t fix it. They gave us sticks to block the door but the toddlers just picked them up and moved them. The other safety issue is the top balcony gets extremely hot when the sun is on it. It burnt a few feet in our family. Rugs or even a warning sign would be good.
Overall, I’d recommend it as it’s a great location and affordable for the space you get. It just needs to be cleaned better and some safety issues looked at.

Our extended family had a wonderful Easter holiday at fun Carolina Beach. The house had plenty of space for 12 of us, and we loved the open concept with spacious ocean view balconies. Fun decor and adequately equipped. We enjoyed our daily walks to the boardwalk and were happy to be at the quieter end of the beach. Gorgeous sunsets!

My family enjoyed our stay at the Dolphin Watch. The house was in a great location with a great views of the ocean. The amenities were very accommodating and we had everything we needed during our stay. We would definitely stay here again. If I had one recommendation it would be to have the outside of the house pressure washed and the grounds area better maintained.

There was ongoing construction on a neighboring property….but workman were courteous…and noise was not intrusive after 5:00 pm or early morning.

This is tough to review. We booked this house in March for July in 2021 (last minute). Because we were late in booking, there weren't a lot of choices. We needed at least 6 BRs (which this house has). We also wanted close to the beach. The description on Airbnb (the owner has Bryant manage their Airbnb) is that there is "beach access across the street". This is NOT the case because the 2 closest accesses across the street are closed because "Beach Erosion in Progress" (signs at the entrance). There is a rock wall at the ocean for about 1/2 mile. Need to walk 7 blocks for any significant beach area.

Great house with plenty of room, and the most amazing porch that I've ever seen. Spacious kitchen and living area. Plenty of seating for everyone to be in the same room. Great house with plenty of room, and the most amazing porch that I've ever seen. Spacious kitchen and living area. Plenty of seating for everyone to be in the same room.
