We loved staying at this property! It is truly close to *everything* to do in Louisville. We were pretty booked with events/visits/etc. during our weekend, and nothing was more than 10 minutes away by car. We loved that the house had independant art on the walls throughout, and if you're spending more time at "home" than out, theres a large shelf stocked with board games and large dining room table you can play them at! It is true there is no washing machine for clothes, but for a shorter trip, that wasn't an issue for us. Also, we were SO happy to find a pet friendly place! Be warned: the backyard is NOT fenced in. We still planned on taking our dogs out on a leash, so it didn't matter for us, but definitely beware not to just let your dog out without checking (I would recommend that for any property you're not familiar with though.) Cool bars within walking distance, Kroger is a very short car ride away (<5 minutes) if you need groceries. We definitely recommend and would absolutely book here again when we want to stay in the city.

The hosts were very communicative, the place was clean and comfortable for all three of us. Close to everything. It served as a great HQ for our bourbon trail adventures.

This property is on the smaller side. We had 5 adults and it was “tight” considering there is only 1 bathroom. However, that was probably poor planning on my part and not a misrepresentation from the host. The bedrooms are small. Technically there is 3, but that is a stretch considering one is the size of a closet (has a queen bed), 1 has a twin and is in a back room with an exterior door. The “master” bedroom was fine. My only other gripe would be that the back bedrooms were COLD. But the host provides extra blankets, so once we were settled in bed it was fine.
The house is close (walking distance) to several neighborhood bars, but a drive/uber to downtown. That wasn’t a problem for us, but something to consider.
I will say the host was attentive, friendly and the property was spotlessly clean. She was also responsive “after hours” when we had an issue that was out of her control. She responded quickly and kept us informed. (It was a water issue in the neighborhood and the city had it fixed quickly).
All in all, it was a fine stay for a short period of time. However, I don’t think I’d stay again with any more than 4 people.

Totally enjoyed your beautiful comfy home! Spent a lot of time enjoying the front porch and deck! Enjoyed the restaurants within walking distance of the house! Downtown close and convenient! Loved watching the planes come and go! If we are ever in Louisville again we will definitely try to book this home again! Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful home with us!

A wonderful little getaway spot that has everything you need. We enjoyed the neighborhood nightlife at Hauck’s Corner and The Pearl. All within walking distance. Catherine was very accommodating and responsive. Highly recommended!

This is a spacious property with funky decor in a cool neighborhood. Check in was smooth and there were plenty of supplies all around. I enjoyed my stay here and would recommend it. This is what VRBO properties should be!

This was a great, central location for checking out a few distilleries while in Louisville. Walking distance to several restaurants and less than ten minutes from downtown. The house was perfect for the four of us. We enjoyed our time.

Perfect for our sisters trip, though we didn't love the in street parking it is what's available in the area. House was clean and great for the two of us.

It was a cute shotgun home in a safe working class neighborhood. There were several neighborhood shops, resturants and pubs all in walking distance and was a short drive to the downtown attractions and to Churchill Downs. We loved reading the journal that available for all the guests to write about their experiences.

Loved the location but kinda missed that there was only one bathroom. Overall, great house and great location.

Although we appreciate an old house it seems the owners don't. This house needs a lot of love and future guests - paying guests! - deserve more hospitality and consideration. Beware, there isn't a washer and dryer. We had to reuse our towel many times because there aren't enough without stains that might be blood as the stains are rust colored! We considered leaving the first night because our child was scared of the house. There are tacky and ugly photos about that most people would find appalling. Does not respect the history of the home, neighborhood nor town. A professional decorator might help. Or just some thoughtfulness to consider others.
Couldn't enjoy the back porch and neglected yard. It's been given over to cats and reeks of cat urine and waste. Shame!! The front yard smells of it, too. The porch swing was not clean and had bird droppings on it!
The other reviews... what property are they describing? Not this one. We felt scammed.
Beware the bath tub, too. The shower curtain is too long but you must shower with it and still, water gets on the floor. There is no where to put your shower or bath supplies. No shelf, no rack.
The neighbors and street seem nice though. The neighborhood seems safe. This house though? May be the thorn of it. Please give it some tlc, house & yard. The handrail at the steps is broken.
The price is low but the location is good. Fix it up, charge more. W/D, better decor, landscaping, new towels!

Nice house! Very comfortable and clean. Very witty style. The lock code system was confusing but other than that no problems!

We stayed here to complete the Bourbon trail. House in a good location in the middle of distilleries we had left. Home was clean. Parking on the street was normally available pretty close to the house. Nice towels

It’s was a cute, well decorated shotgun house. Loved that we didn’t need any linens, towels. Just a few minutes from the convention center. Was an older college neighborhood. But the homes nice.

Looks like a great location for going out, we just passed through. One note is that the airport is close if you are a light sleeper.

Loved the character of this old home. It was clean and comfortable and the binder with all the local info was a nice touch! Would love to come back when we can stay longer!

Such a safe, lovely neighborhood. Close to downtown. It was perfect for our needs. The back bedrooms get a bit chilly. Bring your warm pajamas! Great place to stay.

We had a wonderful time. The location was great and close to a lot of attractions and food options. The home wasn’t as clean as we were hoping for (sheets and dishwasher) but over all we really enjoyed our stay.

This home is cozy, comfortable. It is convenient to many Louisville attractions and night life! The hometown inspired decor, local artisans' work, is very lovely and funky too! The property manager is very responsive and helpful.

We had a great time here during our stay. The house is in a great location. Walkable to many attractions or just a short drive. Close to town if you want to go visit all the city has to offer. The house is old so I am not going to be too hard on it, but there are some areas that need attention. We were in the back bedroom and the heater did not reach that part of the house at all so it was very very cold. All around the house could use some updating. Back yard is unkept and there is no fence. I'd recommend bringing bowls as we only found one. Would also be great if there was a washer and dryer for those week long stays like we had.

I’m 6’5” tall, and trying to get up the long stretch of steps with a handrail that’s built for those 5’5” and under was a struggle. Not knowing that the only door that works with “Lockey” app is the “back” door would’ve been good to know before arrival. And that app is very unclear as to what is necessary to complete the process of actually getting the door to open. Very frustrating.
Once inside, the property was pleasant. I took the bedroom closest to the bathroom, and couldn’t get the ceiling fan to turn off. It was a bit noisy, but not terrible. My friends took the “back” bedrooms, where the heat doesn’t seem to reach, so it was a chilly night for them. My bed was comfortable. The report about one of the “back” beds was that it was “thicker in the middle”, resulting in a minimally less comfortable situation. All in all, I’ve had far worse accommodations with VRBO/AirB&B properties. It wasn’t terrible, by any stretch, but it wasn’t stellar either.

We enjoyed our stay, the decor was original and fun to look at throughout the house. We only stayed overnight but seemed liked the area had a lot to do and explore.

Stayed here to attend an event at the Expo center, it was the perfect home away from home. A nice quiet neighborhood hood with many great local places to grab food and craft beer. Definitely will stay here again if it’s available when the time comes!

Spent a perfect girls weekend in this lovely home. The location made it easy to walk to great bars and restaurants and was a quick ride into downtown and to other fun attractions. The place was clean and had everything we needed. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to explore Louisville!

This house was in a perfect location and exactly what we expected. I do wish, however, that they would have cut the grass. Also, there was no bar soap available to use while showering. That would have also been nice. Other than those few things, the house was perfect. Very comfortable beds.
