We stayed in a premium suite and the space was very nice but some furniture was needing to be replaced. This is a beautiful historic hotel but the elevators are not in good working condition. We had only one of the 3 working. I recommend staying at this hotel if you enjoy historic buildings.

First floor was beautiful but you get up to the rooms and it has a smell like wet floors. Got to the room and the pull out couch had pee stains and what looked to be blood on the mattress. They brought up a different bed and it was uncomfortable. They never brought enough towels and when they did refill towels they never let wash cloths. When we checked out they charged us for two days of valet when we did not use valet at all. They did get it fixed but for the price and room would not go back.

This lovely historic hotel is teeming with charm and elegance.
The only reason this is not a 5 star review is due to the elevatorâs availability. Because of its historic nature, the elevatorâs parts are as such-
Every staff I encountered was kind, helpful and accommodating.
I especially appreciated the âHauntsâ bartenderâs education on a classic Fitzgerald martini- delish!

I don't know who gave this hotel a rating in Luxury Collection Hotels. Nor the service, nor the cleanliness and nor the other features of this hotel match with the standards of this collection of hotels. Rooms are very old, not clean at all, dust on all the lamps, hair in the bathroom every day. I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

St. Anthony is an incredible hotel. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend it and will stay here again my next trip to San Antonio.

We enjoyed our stay, however there were a few things that will probably keep us from booking there again. The hallway to our room smelled very bad, possibly mildew or mold. Our room was nice but I noticed the box springs had some staining on them which made me uncomfortable. We used the valet service but werenât aware of the price until we got the bill for $50. We would have gladly parked in the $5 lot a block away had we been made aware in advance. Other than that, the staff was very pleasant and helpful and overall we enjoyed our stay.

One of the most beautiful hotels we've stayed at. Impeccably clean and within walking distance of Riverwalk and other attractions.

The state of the room seemed as if it had not been cleaned in many days. Lots of dust on side tables. The bathroom walls and floors, and the shower was heavily stained and looked as if it had not been cleaned properly ever. No hand soap, just a face wash bar soap. We had to ask for a key to the mini bar fridge and the fridge was warm when opened. Requested ice and we got a ziplock baggie of ice that was so dirty we could see the dirt as it melted. Ordered room service and half the food was stale. The bedding was just a duvet with two sheets, one above and one below it as the duvet cover, not an actual duvet cover. Tv was so old you basically canât see anything even with all the lights in the room off. They played jazz in the hallways which is fine but the doors had no insulation around it and we could hear the jazz when trying to sleep. For a luxury hotel, it looked like the room had not been updated since the early 2000s. For the price I paid, this was a truly terrible experience. Thought I was getting a 4-star Marriott experience and got the worst motel experience ever. The best part of my stay was checking out.

I liked that the property was beautiful. The beds were comfortable. The staff was helpful. Valet and bell boys were awesome during check in and check out. I love this hotel. I love the older buildings and the elevator was so fast.

The hotel is beautiful, they are very short staffed. Our room was not ready until 6pm, they didnât clean our room until 5pm the next day, and we couldnât have breakfast at the empty restaurant because there was no one to clean the tables. Staff is friendly and tries but everything is a mess and chaotic.

Housekeeping was awful. They never replaced the towels they just took them. I ran out of TP, asked twice so I had to go to the front desk. Sometimes the didnât took the trash out. Other than that the staff was great. Bell boys were always helpful

Hello everyone, everything good?
Our stay at your hotel had several problems, which left me and my family embarrassed.
We went with my two children, a 3 year old and a 1 year old, the nanny, and my wife. I went to work so I didn't have time to help with the children.
First, our minibar wouldn't turn on, and the kids' food got spoiled. My nanny's sofa bed was broken and she couldn't sleep, which was replaced after much insistence, as the hotel receptionist named OVI didn't want to do it, I had to call the manager. This receptionist was very rude and rude, she laughed at our despair and made jokes. I have never experienced this in my entire life, being a family man and a businessman with a well-known company that has always been respected. Finally, on the last day we asked the OVI receptionist for cleaning for 10am and it was not cleaned, we asked again at 1pm and it was not cleaned, when I arrived from my meeting, after asking for the third time at 5pm, it was not cleaned. My children needed towels, clean bedding and nothing was done. I had to go down around 9pm to speak to Alex, the hotel manager. He was very helpful and gave us towels. He apologized and said he would cancel the last night's charge. But early the next day at checkout we were charged by the OVI receptionist, who helped us again. She joked with us, disrespecting my wife and saying that if she wants, she will give me 50 dollars for breakfast in the morning.
When we booked the hotel, we saw that the name is

I would have given 5-stars for this property but housekeeping was the issue. For a couple of days, I was missing towels; spoons for the coffee was not cleaned yet placed as if it was; glass was washed but not throughly. I had to request for these things. Also one day I left at 7:30a and came back at 1:30p. My room was still not made. So I started calling to get my room made once I left the room. Mind you I was there for 5 nights. Lastly, regarding the property, the aroma in the lobby was lovely but once you get to the floor, the smelled changed, which was not pleasant.

No parking garage close by. Valet parking too expensive. No jacuzzi. Otherwise, room very nice and lobby very pretty

Had a King suite. Room was very nice, bed extremely comfortable. Blackout curtains work well. Coffee maker was a Keurig.
Only "complaints" I have are there was no in-room microwave nor refrigerator. While the walk-in shower looks great, I rate it 6/10 for functionality. It's large, has a nice bench where you can sit if needed, but there is no convenient place to hang a towel, and the shower control is on the opposite wall so temp adjustments take a while to reach the shower head. Also, there is no shower door, so it can be a little cool at times. Valet parking is expensive, but there is a surface lot across the street that's much cheaper, and 2 city owned garages just a block away that are even cheaper.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful.
The park across the street is dirty and have homeless people, sorry to say but thatâs affecting the surroundings.

It was a great place to stay! A special and much appreciated surprise was the jazz band in the lobby. Front desk staff, breakfast servers and all other staff very friendly. The hotel is beautiful.

This is my second stay here for at least four days and I will never go back. There's always an issue either the elevators are not working, the phones in the rooms were dead yesterday, the staff are all nice but you ask them for things and the chances of that ever happening or appearing are 50/50. The cost of garaging a car is more than in Manhattan which is just ridiculous, and the AC needs to be replaced with new units that can be more efficient and handled the high ceilings of all the rooms. Also, all the rooms are different sizes so you can be in a junior suite that's 750 sq. ft. or 400 and get charged the same amount if you're not aware of this. There's no ramp at the entrance to accomodate people with disabilities and yet, the valet for parking is stationed there rather than at the garage entrance where there is a ramp. The rooms are surface clean but don't look behind the desk of the dresser of the electrical outlets and none of the lighting switches make any sense. Finally, the hallways all need to be redone. They are dark, and the carpets all look well worn and dingy. If this is luxury, I must have missed it.

The propery was absolutly beautiful. It is very old and the carpets smells, but overall i enjoyed my experience there. The staff was amazing. One of the prettiest hotels ive ever stayed in.

Such a beautiful old hotel - a real jewel in downtown San Antonio. We especially loved the rooftop terrace. The room was gorgeously appointed & the staff welcoming & gracious. The only thing that marred the experience was the lack of hot water for my shower in the morning. Tepid at most - ugh. I would expect the staff to offer some sort of compensation for the inconvenience - after all, this was a room rate of over $300. Firstly, upon checkout, I had to volunteer the information; I.e. they didnât inquire about my experience. So after telling them about the disappointing shower experience, they simply apologized & didnât even offer any kind of compensation for it. I had to ask âis there anything you can do to make up for it?â I should NOT have had to ask! I just felt like I wasnât treated like guests come first. Disappointing at best

My husband and I stayed here for our first wedding anniversary last week. Our room was beautiful. The staff was awesome and super helpful. They even sent us champagne and strawberries to our room! We had dinner at the Rebelle restaurant in the hotel and it was awesome. Also, we could easily walk to the river walk and other areas downtown.
