My trip to LA had me staying at Fairmont Miramar which is a very nice hotel but the only drawback was that I could hear music from the bar down stairs and could hear it till 2a. Or another club within the hotel. My room was very clean and I liked the view but in the future I wouldn’t stay in the 4th floor. But I also wasn’t informed about the restaurant on the property and its operating hours.

The hotel is showing its age. Our room was just okay. Fitness center was just okay. Elevator in the ocean tower was problem during our stay....appeared as though one of the elevators was not working, the second was slow. We loved the location. Food and beverage was good. The drivers were both very good....Angel in particular. This was the second time we stayed at this hotel....not sure we would come back.

Been to the Fairmont Miramar before. This was a family stay to hang out by the water and enjoy the restaurants and weather. The service was outstanding and everything about the hotel was just right.

Property location, food quality and service excellent
Bathroom old and shower /tub could use an upgrade

only problem was room would get a bit cold because the heater didn't seem to be working. other than that, it was a fantastic property. really love the lobby lounge and the restaurant.

Great location, dining and spa.

They shut down all the main elevators for maintenance/repairs so we had to use the ONE and ONLY service elevator. It was new the dirty laundry shoot, smelled terrible, and too forever to get up or down cause there ONLY ONE! Not something you want to experience after having a good dinner then going to your room through a dirty and smelly service access hall, especially when paying $600/night

I’m always happy to stay at the Fairmont. Excellent service and a very convenient spot from which to explore Santa Monica. I was particularly pleased on this trip, when an upgrade was not available, I was given a $100 credit on food and drink instead. Much appreciated.

Very nice resort hotel. Convenient location in Santa Monica but not too close to the pier area. Christmas decorations were outstanding. Love that fig tree. We spent some time in the lobby bar and enjoyed talking with bartenders. Tried happy hour at the Fig Restaurant which was great! Love the Dogtown Coffee Shop on site.

Fairmont hotels are always top notch facilities and service

We paid $1100 for one night supposed to be a luxury suite. We end up having a room with no heater. It’s has a litter electrical heater, the small one you buy from home drop

Great location, great staff and great local food options.
The facilities are a bit old and outdated but I enjoyed staying there very much.

a beautiful and wonderful place all around, the suite on the upper floors with a magnificent ocean view, close to the promenade with the shops for shopping. the staff is friendly and competent

We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel

Unfortunately this Fairmont is due for an upgrade and renovation. Although the staff was friendly and helpful, it doesn’t make up for some of the basic necessities it lacked. The ocean tower elevator’s button wasn’t working, there were never any clean towels at the pool area (with dirty towels pilling up in the clean basket), and the beds were quite dented. The worst part was the drunken party goers yelling profanities at 3AM in the morning returning to their room.

The staff and the service was great. The hotel is absolutely charming and with character but it does need renovation. Regardless, I still enjoyed my stay. They have the most beautiful old fig tree at the entrance that is a must see

The music coming from the outdoor nightclub was too late into the night. Could not sleep.

Top notch in every way. Simply put a Santa Monica gem.

The bar/club next door thumps until after 1am… and then there were protests every morning at 7am outside. Drums, horns, bullhorns… needless to say I didn’t sleep great. Only has one working elevator. Old hotel has lack of outlets and several not working.

This property is clearly run by greedy racists who refuse to give the employees basic necessities like health insurance. Every single morning, protesters will be outside with drums and blow horns waking everyone up. I was unable to relax a single night in this hotel. It is very clear that the Hispanic population is being taken advantage of by this disgusting company. Considering they charge $38 for two eggs I cannot fathom any reason why they cannot afford to take care of their staff. The rooms are outdated. The heat does not work. The walls are paper thin. The shower is straight out of the 50's not sure how anyone could use them. The soaps provided dry out your skin and hair. The ONLY redeeming quality of this location was the staff working were polite and attentive. Seems like this being their only good commodity they would invest in their employees. Would not recommend to anyone and will tell everyone to avoid this brand.

despite being on the 10th floor, the street noise, especially the music from the club down stairs was extremely disturbing. (we stayed on the side facing south) other than that, the stay was quite nice. staff was helpful. cleaning staff was great. at the price point, a restful night of sleep should have been prioritized

There was an employee strike during our stay. On our last day they said it happens every month, which sounded weird. At first they were giving out free breakfast as compensation for the inconvenience however, that stopped on the weekend. Lotta noise made by strikers.

Loved the outside bar and the property was lovely. Our room was comfortable and very clean. Great bed! Can't wait to come back!

The lack of communication around the hotel worker strike was frustrating. We weren't told ahead of time about the likelihood of active strikers on property or how it might impact our stay.
When we arrived, the strikers would not let us pull our car into the driveway, resulting in an altercation between the valet and the strikers. Our room was not ready until 6:00 p.m., which was a bummer after our flight and a long day. Hotel services and food offerings were very limited. The strikers were loud.
I can appreciate that the situation is difficult for the hotel and certainly recognize the need for workers to have a living wage. My issue is simply the lack of communication around it all. I could have easily made other arrangements.
Disappointed.

It’s a great property
But being woke up at 6:30 each morning to drums and picketing was horrible.
They didn’t offer any apologies or offer any discount.
Terrible

Huge bummer. Paid for a suite and was given the worst room on the first floor. It stunk and was loud. Had to call to ask them to refill the soap bottles. Monday morning was abruptly woken up with drum banging and employees screaming in protest over the hotel. Service at their “nice” restaurant was so horrible we had to go to lobby restaurant. Hot tub looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in weeks. Front desk folks were nice and helpful but not what I expected for the money.

For the price was not worth it at all. The shower didn't work and the sink was clogged. There was a protest at the hotel starting at 645 am and the hotel staff didn't even offer to discount our stay. Definitely better hotels that are closer to the beach for the amenities worth staying at that. This one.

Room great but bathroom is very tight for adult humans. Prompt delivery of housekeeping requests.
Can’t beat the view

There were protestors the full time I was there, couldn't open my windows to enjoy the sea air. I picked a room with an ocean view specifically to have fresh air and couldn't take advantage of that.

It’s so nice and reassuring to see and receive great service in this day and age. We stayed at Fairmont for a long weekend and Saturday wedding near by. We loved everything about our stay. The property, the staff, service, restaurants , location and everything else about it. We’ll be back!

Great except for checking in
My room was not ready wired an hour they gave me a free drink
I had to call the hotel operator to find out my room was ready but after that was amazing

We liked a position of the hotel, everyone in hotel was amazingly nice, rooms are a bit older but it’s fine…

Friendly clean property. Coffee stand, fig restaurant and Libby cafe all great

The main cons about this place is that it's overpriced and there is a nightclub that plays music all night (and all morning). We were there on a Monday night in September. The service was hit-or-miss. Took close to an hour to get a bucket of ice but room service was swift and delicious (if expensive). The staff were polite. Watch out for parking fees and resort fees, they add up. Valet is not optional (I asked).
