I stayed 2 day for touristic trip. Location is perfect ı could not be better. Room was super clean and big. Furtinute are old but ı dont mind it feels cozy. Stuff is really polite and helpful. I highly recommend.

Super location near main Square

Can't say enough wonderful things about this charming hotel. Wonderful location on lovely small street at Old Town square, even though it was near the square it was pretty quiet. Elevator (only up to 2nd floor) took us up to our rooms with lovely old world charm and beamed & stenciled ceilings. The rooms were very clean! They also served a beautiful buffet breakfast (it's worth the fee) in a small warm and quaint restaurant on main floor. We also had dinner there a couple of nights and the menu was good and the food, very good! Now the staff.....the kitchen people, cleaning people, waiters in the adjoining bar all Excellent! We dealt with the front desk staff the most, they all were extremely helpful with everything. Lucas during the day was so helpful, knowledgeable and wonderful to talk to. Lukas at night desk was also great, knowledgeable and good to talk to. We both had a wonderful experience at this hotel and if I should return, Hotel Cerny Slon (Black Elephant) is where I stay and I have already told friends.

We booked an 8 day stay. the person at the front desk when we arrived was friendly and helpful. but he wasn't present for the most of the rest of our stay. The people that took over were often not at the front desk and somewhat cold. The hotel was in an old building. However, the rooms were not updated. The bathtub was very tall and was difficult to get out of at times. The room was somewhat dirty. There was dust on the floor for our entire stay. The hotel was on a very noisy corner. We didn't have any sound proofing and there was large groups of people outside of our window. very loud and probably drunk. Finally, we payed extra for our breakfast in the morning. It very poor. not worth paying for.

This hotel was quaint. It was old but in an antique way. The room was a good size. We moved the bed to clean behind it. Huge cob webs and tons of dust. The breakfast was ok. The location was great. It was right by the main square. Easy to walk to to the astronomical clock and not far from Charles bridge. I would stay again because of location

The hotel is absolutely beautiful. If you want to explore downtown, there is not a much better location. And the restaurant downstairs is excellent.

Easy and fast check in and check out. The staffs are remarkable and professional. The location is very good for people who just want to walk to specific areas such as the Charles Bridge and the astronomical clock.

This was my second stay at Cerny Slon, located right beside the Tyn church. You could not get a better location. The staff are all so helpful and go out of their way - they even packed us a substantial breakfast because we were leaving early on the day we left. The restaurant has delicious Czech food and it is lovely to wake up to the sound if church bells.

Spent one night here when I was stuck in Prague when my flight got cancelled. Very good location, just a block from the old town square. Room was very clean and the bed quite comfortable. The hotel has a nice breakfast buffet (for an extra charge). Bathroom was fairly spacious. Negatives- the temp was in the 90’s when I was there and my room did not have air conditioning (just a fan). Because you are in a very popular area, it was fairly noisy outside (as I had to keep the windows open at night to cool off). I would definitely consider staying there again though.

Very close to historic attractions and restaurants but I find it more expensive compared to better hotels in Vienna in a similar location

Excellent location

This hotel is in an excellent location literally steps from Old Town Square. The staff were very friendly/helpful. The room was comfortable and we found to be quite sound proof if you had the windows closed. We were there in June. There was no air conditioning but they provided a fan which was perfect. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Hotel Cerny Slon was the perfect location for my two night stay in Prague. It was right next to a historic church and only a few steps away from the old town square. The onsite restaurant was also very good. I would definitely stay here anytime in Prague.

Quaint older building in the heart of old town! 2nd time we have stayed and it was just as we remembered! They have added an elevator which helps with the stairs if you have knee issues. Breakfast had a good variety and was plentiful. We stayed for dinner one night and it was very enjoyable.!

This hotel has a coziness and has everything you need. The staff is friendly and the rooms are beautiful with historical ceiling. Everything is on a walking distance as you get out and are on the central square already. The breakfast is complete and the service excellent. I would go back to this hotel and recommend it anytime to my friends and family

Had a lot of character. Prior to our arrival the hotel contacted us to arrange airport transportation. Haven't experienced this before and it was a fantastic option with front door service. THANK YOU.

Located just off the Old Town Square, this property is stepped in history of Prague.

Location is amazing, but the noise from the square can be a bit much. Staff is nice. The hotel itself is authentic and old, the water is hot and the pressure is good but the rooms are odd shaped and funky and the beds, while comfy, are tiny by western standards. Overall a solid choice if you want to walk 15 seconds and be in old town square, just be aware its not a luxury hotel but more like a converted taproom. Beware, you need your room key to use the elevator and your key will expire exactly at checkout time.

Located at the heart of old town right on the clock tower and within walking distance to many attractions in any direction, excellent location for city exploration. The hotel staff were great and very helpful, welcoming and friendly. The place itself could use some tlc, a few room features suffered from neglect (missing light bulbs/very worn towels/very old shower head etc.) and it seems the place was once very high standard, but some time had passed since. All in all it was a good place to stay albeit not the four-star experience we expected.

The location is super. It's just few steps away from the astronomical clock and the town hall. It's easily walkable to many nearby attractions. The hotel has it's charm. It's old and it matches the surroundings. My room was on the 3rd floor and the elevator only reaches until the 2nd floor. So I had to go up stairs, which it wasn't a problem for me. It was funny the shower was inside the bath tub that was above my knee, so I have to be careful when entering into the shower. It's very European style. The breakfast was delicious and the restaurant had the old look to it that made you feel you were back in old times. The door will close when it's dark, but you have a door bell or knock at the main door for them to open. The front desk staff is very friendly and Lucas helped me a lot when trying to understand how the trains operate, and it wasn't showing up in the system. So, he suggested taking a taxi to the following train station and that was very helpful. I believe it has that Prague charm hotel and I'm happy I stayed there.

The location & staff are great! Since there’s no AC, you have to leave your windows open for air & it is VERY loud all night. Thankfully I had earplugs or there’s no way I would have slept (I’m not a light sleeper either!).
