The front desk woman was so friendly and helpful. We were in town for a track meet and she was absolutely wonderful. The free coffee and fruit was a plus. Great workout and laundry facility and the shower head pressure was outstanding. Clean facility and loved all the dishes and storage containers.

This hotel is very tired. Peeling paint, rusting bath shower rail, mismatched furniture, cabinet doors out of alignment. Our refrigerator leaked when the ice maker was turned on. There were no towel holders in the bathroom-only one small hook. You would think an extended stay hotel would provide some way to hang up towels to reuse. We ended up paying a premium price for a so-so room. Staff was very friendly.

We had confirmed a booking through hotel.com a room with king size bed and our room we got a queen size and rep at the hotel said nothing they can do since booked with a 3rd party. Why are 3rd parties allowed to book if room is not available this is Candlewood suites and they should have informed us of this change. Very disappointing

Lacked customer service upon checking in and checking out. We were not made aware of the construction inside the hotel entrance and lobby area going on ahead of our arrival. Room was not ready when told per reservation and planned to get ready for the wedding before attending the reception. We were told it would be anywhere from 2-3 hours. We ended up having to wait to check in AFTER returning to the hotel after the wedding we had attended, their lack of service became our problem. Was not thanked or given an apology or offered an accommodation when checking in or leaving in the morning.

The booking through travelocity alluded to a room with a couch and a private queen bed that slept 3 people. The room I was provided did not have a couch. The room barely slept 2 people. When I asked the front desk to remedy the situation, they said they could not. False advertising on travelocity's site as to what the room would provide.

No response to text requests even though the hotel sent a text message upon arrival requesting guests to use the text message for needs. Upon asking a housekeeper to replenish face towels and coffee, it didn’t happen. Had to physically walk to front desk each time we needed something. Renovation noise was very loud. Housekeeping staff stood outside the front door and smoked which stunk up the entry and guests had to walk through the cig smoke to enter building. Room was clean and bed was comfy!

The building was well maintained and clean. The room doors need some touch up paint. The doors were dirt and scuffed. The night shift staff are less than friendly or helpful. There is no hot tub or pool which is disappointing. The beds were super comfortable. The hotel was quiet, that was appreciated.

The property was nice and having restaurants and shopping near by was nice. However, there seemed to be a family of at least 8 people staying across from our room. It seemed like they lived there as they were in and out at all times, doing laundry and new people arriving every time I left my room. I felt very uncomfortable at one point when there was 3 grown men knocking on the door at 6:30 am. Normally, this would not bother me but something did not feel right. I also thought this was a Non-Smoking hotel and there were people smoking marijuna in their rooms. Unfortunately, we will be back in La Crosse many times throughout my son's college years, and we will not stay here again.

The heater was blowing cold air, in the living room and bed room. Called the front desk. Was told maintenance would be up soon. NEVER SHOWED UP!! Had to sleep fully dressed with blankets on!!! The NEXT DAY, I had to go to the front desk and inform the Day staff of the situation. The fixed it. BUT when I asked if we could get a free nights stay for the problem, I was told they couldn’t do that!! Will never stay here again!!!

it is well maintained and clean. Location is convenient to downtown and UW campus. The hotel was nice and quiet, it would have been nice to have an ice machine, rather than make our own though. I'm not sure that I'd stay as a short term guest again, but if on a longer trip it's a great choice with the large fridge and dishes.
