If you like staying in a busy downtown area this place is for you! Close to many things food wise and more. I didnt think it was as fancy as they made it seem. Room was ok nothing special, has its little flaws just like a holiday inn or best western. Shower towel bar was rickety, broken tile on the bathroom wall, some places that were not real clean. A Down side of being down town is parking & they tell you not to park on the street and do offer valet but not a place to park. At least there was a parking garage less than a block away that locks up at 11pm and opens at 7am.

the price was fine until you arrived late at night and they added the unstated extra charges which added 100 plus to the stated rate Room was fine and so were the staff and valet parking

Good service and convenient location for downtown activities. Surprisingly quiet & park view room makes you feel like it is not inner city. We have stayed in more than 20 Portland hotels and this is one of the best.

The room was thoroughly clean. We typically check the places where people don't look. This place was immaculate. The executive room was spacious and comfortable. This was surprisingly pleasant.

The staff members were all friendly and the front desk staff were helpful in suggesting restaurants and instructing us on how to use the met to get around town. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed one night at the Paramount. The location is great. The hotel is upscale and very clean. We ate dinner at the restaurant there and the food was amazing. The bed was comfortable. The valet parking is expensive but all the hotels around there are the same. We will stay there again

Spent one night here and had a very good experience. Staff was very kind and helpful. The only bad things would be Parking and cleanliness. There is no parking garage attached and there is only 2 hour parking outside the hotel. If you need overnight or longer parking you need to park at a separate area and walk. There is valet but it is $65. Cleanliness was mostly alright besides the bathroom. Bathtub was slightly dirty but overall amazing stay!

We arrived an hour and a half early (2:30pm) and were told we would get a call as soon as our room was ready. That they would let housekeeping know. We returned at 4pm (check in time) and the room was still not clean. We had to wait another 15ish minutes to check in. The check -in desk told us our room was "the last to be cleaned". So no attempt to let the cleaning staff know we were waiting was ever made over and hour before-hand. Then our room was not fully stocked, I assume because the cleaning staff was rushing. No apology or attempt to correct this issue was made. The customer service at the front desk was lacking. Valet was great both days.

Clean, stylish hotel with comfortable beds and friendly helpful staff. My only complaint was that my window on the second floor overlooked a side street that was used by garbage trucks to service the dumpsters for several businesses. Truck after truck came through from 4am to 8am every morning and they were LOUD!!! No one likes to be woken up at 4am when they are on vacation. The staff told me that they would honor a room placement request next time.

Earl at check in was so great! He really set the mood for my stay. What a great guy! Valet service was super convenient. I’m not comfortable driving in the city so I used it. We were just there for a night for a dance event. Everything you could possibly need is within walking or use the Max a few blocks down! The hotel is in great condition. The only thing I would warn about, is outside noise. I was on the 3rd floor with a balcony. If you’re sensitive to noise, it could be a problem. I put in ear plugs and was fine. felt super safe in the hotel. We will be back!

Excellent hotel! The rooms are spacious updated, and have great bathrooms. The bathtub is fabulous to relax in after a long day. I've stayed here at The Paramount Hotel multiple times and love it every time. Bonus: Swine and Taylor Street Tavern--both within the building are excellent restaurants.

Pleasant and comfortable! Staff helpful and kind. Attached bar and restaurant (not part of hotel) are really very good -- the Swine is especially nice to hang out at -- if a little pricey. Very convenient for downtown Portland events.

The Paramount is a very nice & affordable place to stay in downtown Portland. Close to many amenities. The whiskey bar downstairs has great cocktails, beer, & food. We had a lovely corner view from our room & a soaking tub which was a bonus. Highly recommend.

We came right before Portland had a big snow storm and the staff did a great job letting us know of options if we needed to extend our stay another night if we got stuck. The hotel was beautiful and perfectly placed 3 blocks from a show we were attending. There was a lot of great restaurants within 1-2 blocks of the hotel but also a good restaurant in the hotel for drinks and food into the night. The hotel was clean, staff were professional, and we had a great stay. Very impressed as it was priced well. We will definitely stay there again next time we come back to Portland.

Perfect for a night in downtown Portland to see at show at the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall, which was right around the corner. The staff was friendly, the bar was fantastic, the room was clean and comfy. Easy choice for an overnight getaway!

Perfect for a quick trip to Portland to catch a show at the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall downtown. Will return! Rooms were big and clean with special touches like a soaking tub with reading rack and bath salts. Great late-night bites at their bar, Swine. Knocked them a star for energy efficiency: Our windows let wind (and a little bit of snow) in but room temp was good and we didn't notice until the morning. Recommend parking across the street at Southpark Garage, just $25 plus lots of spots with free charging for electric cars.

Earl at the Front Desk was very professional and pleasant. Our servers at both restaurants were also pleasant and professional. Everyone in great spirits on this New Years eve!!! Room was very clean, bed was so comfy, amenities tray in bathroom was top notch along with the mini coffee bar.

Room was comfortable, hotel is conveniently located near downtown activities, only wish the front desk was thorough in giving all necessary information up front (we were told of the deposit hold on reservation but not on valet service. Several hours after checkout we discovered it on our bank account. We called the hotel thinking it was an error and was met with someone who insisted we were told which didn't sit well with me. It's not the money but the idea that it was insisted that we were the ones who was wrong) all in all the room was very nice.
