Lots of work required to bring this house up to standard!

The pictures and description on the website vs what we arrived to were very different. The place was very clean except for the mold in both showers. The location is great but if you have kids I’d warn it’s on a very busy road without crossings close by.

Where do we start.. The garden was completely overgrown making it hard for the kids to be able to play outside on what was an amazing weather weekend. Both bathrooms had bit that were damaged - shower head in one, cupboard in the other. Sink in the master that wouldn’t drain. One of the beds was damaged and dangerous and had been reported before. The garage door was broken and the door lock was extremely hard to open. The kitchen, while big and clean, has nothing in it to support the “Well Stocked” advertising. One fork, one broken fork, no tea towels, kitchen knife’s for example. One roll of toilet paper in each bathroom with no spare bin bags. The towels were from last century, so thin and poor quality. the electricals in the house look very dodgy with a lot of the PowerPoints not working. And finally, no smoke detectors anywhere. Location alone was not worth the price or the issues we had.

*The garage was most terrible (tiny size and very dirty), the worst as it was extremely unusable for a large car, making it extremely difficult and unsafe to use *the mould on the curtains in bathroom with bath and very large quantity of mould on ceiling in ensuite

Extraordinary bad. So so disappointing. Won’t recommend to anyone.

There is nothing good. Very noisy and dirty. We couldn’t sleep the whole night. And I messaged the host a few times no response. This is the worst experience I have ever had. Won’t recommend to anyone. We booked for 3 nights but only stay here for 1 night. Because we couldn’t stay here. But still haven’t got the refund yet. Extremely bad

Very noisy, dirty, old and carpark is not big enough to park at all. And no one manages the property. I sent a few messages no one answers at all.

Avoid this house

Very busy street but it is on a bus route into the city.

The house is in a terrible state. First of all there are no smoke alarms anywhere in the house, which is llegal. The oven is gas but so old it felt unsafe to use even if we could get it working. The cupboard around the oven was loose and kept falling off as people walked past.the electric wiring is old as well and several times a fuse just randomly tripped leaving us in darkness. Having no smoke detectors in the house made us nervous to charge phones etc. overnight as we didn't trust the outlets. While it is an 8 person house there are only 6 chairs at the dinner table and the sofa only seats 4. All the furniture in the house is very poor quality, 2 of the headboards on the bed were broken and the mattresses are cheap thin ones where you feel the springs. The whole house was incredibly dusty and dirty with mould on the curtains etc. All in all a terrible place to stay!

Lots of space, be sure you are proactive in communication with owners in advance!

The house was convenient enough to the CIty. The property had good space. Washing machine on site. Plenty of space in the bedrooms so though we had the house full, we did not feel crowded in the bedrooms.

The owner took way too long to respond to issues we had (how the TV works), problems with batteries on their complicated electronic lock system. The property needs updating and to be fully supplied. There were lots of seemingly old food items in the pantry. More seating in the lounge room would be helpful. Some updating needed to the interior in our view. Really, with a bit of attention and better information and responses this will be a great property for large sized groups.

The garage too small and dirty.. one of pillowcase smelly in single bed..there was a bug in single bedroom, there were used soaps underneath the sink in master bedroom. The bathroom need to be cleaned properly

Exceptional

We arrived late but the owner still responsed to us. Very good owner.. Comfortable Stay with Family, the kitchen is spaces, we cook dinner and breakfast, fully equipped kitchen. Both toilets has heater, and one of the toilet has bidet!! Suit us the Malaysian. The beds are very comfortable and clean linens. Well done. Bus stop is just 90m away, depends on what bus n direction. It's near Birkenhead Outlet, walking distance if you are fit, else can take Uber or DD. Good cafes nearby. Overall a Very good stay, will definitely book again if want to explore CBD more. Thanks A lot to property owner.

The front 2 rooms has not heater, quite cool during winter. Only the master bedroom has wall unit heater/aircon and room opposite has portable heater. The property is by the roadside, day time there are some noises but it's OK cuz we do not stay in during day time.

Nothing yes house is clean but that's about it.

Where do I start. Location was terrible . one of Sydney's most busiest roads. They say garage parking Yes if you have a Bike or scooter. no car can fit in it. The beds are horrible cheap from fantastic furniture. One room has a shower other bathroom well I don't even know what to call that. Has a TV well for show only . doesn't work NO HEATING AT ALL. air conditioning are broken-down. we came with family kids could of played in the back but hey the grass wasn't cut.. I msg the owner on Saturday but let's just say took the money and didn't care for anyone.

it was nicer than I expected based on the pictures. its a great spot too close to the ferry too

good backyard. big rooms lots of beds. nice kitchen and bathrooms

no terrestrial TV (free to air tv) antenna - however they did provide a netflix account which was nice. we could not get the oven to work

For the budget traveller

It is conveniently located. It is not too far from the city.

The place is really old. The tap water makes you sick. There is no facilities like dishwasher liquid, hand wash, etc that you would typically find in a listing. The furniture is really old. Just have low expectations and I guess this place is fine for a few nights to stay.

No train station, kitchen intensils very basic, so extra blankets or pillow available. Should provide table and chair outside for sitting and enjoy the back yard
