The Ormsby House is a 4 bedroom, two story home set on a huge lot. This home is centrally located in South Lake Tahoe, easy driving to the ski resorts, Lake Tahoe beaches and marinas, shopping, dining and exploring the great outdoors. Centrally located, but yet on a quiet street. It is a short drive to the Heavenly Village-shopping, great dining, movie theatre and more. Just past there is the casinos-concerts and gaming. Heavenly Mountain Resort offers skiing in the winter, and hiking and gondola rides, adventures in the summer. The entry level includes a family room with TV, 3 bedrooms and a full bathroom. The upstairs level includes: a living room with gas fireplace, kitchen, full bath and the 4th bedroom. There is a deck off the dining area with a propane BBQ. The deck is a great spot for a morning coffee, evening BBQ or just sitting and enjoying the view and the sounds of nature. Guest of record must be 25 years of age. Maximum Occupancy: 10 Maximum Number of Vehicles: 4 While staying here, please make sure to follow local ordinances (noise/maximum occupancy and maximum vehicles on site)We also require a signed rental agreement for every reservation and the person signing must be 25 years of age, must be staying at the property and have a copy of the signed rental agreement with them during their stay. When traveling to Tahoe in the winter be prepared for winter driving, possible road closures and delays in snow removal. You are booking a trip to the mountains so come prepared. Our snow removal crews work every day, but we have no control over the county road snowplows that clear the roads.. 4WD and or chains are always recommended. If you come in a small, low-profile vehicle you may have difficulties. Tahoe has experiences frequent power outages during snow, rain, wind events. We provide lanterns, but sometimes they disappear (or batteries vanish)

Great place to stay
Great place! Loved the space and location. Would definitely recommend this place for larger groups or families. Layout of the house was a little odd, but for just a weekend it worked so well. The neighborhood was quiet and calm, yet close to the lake and amenities.

Beautiful, spacious house.
Plenty of rooms to fit your party. Spacious house to enjoy both levels. Has mostly what you need in the kitchen. Location was great. Not too far from the lake, but not too close from the crowd. I would recommend.

Vacations
We like the house very much. Only a few things need to be fix. Also have an iron and a hair dryer would be very helpful.

Fun but event full!
It was very very fun. My sister had gotten stuck in the snow and the maintenance guy for the the place helped her out and it was very very very helpful and we very much appreciate it. Will definitely come back

Nice house, Bad house keeping
Overall the stay was great. However, the house smelled like the hand soap given to use for washing you hands. Also there was cobwebs everywhere. The location is great and house was gourgous, but the cleanliness could have been better.

Not the best
First, the location was great, and the size of the property fit 10 adults comfortably. The staff was very professional, and, when booking, they had a very quick response time. However, the property itself was a little run down, which wouldn't be an issue if things were clean. When we arrived there was food splattered on the walls in the lithe , the floors weren't clean, and there was an awful stench coming from the downstairs bathroom that smelled as if something was decaying. We tried to air it out by keeping the window open and the fan on, but to no avail. It only got worse. When we pulled out the sleeper sofa, we couldn't find sheets. The place advertised that it sleeps 12 with a sleeper sofa, and claimed linens were provided. There was also a leak in the freezer that caused a puddle to form in the refrigerator. At first we thought it was condensation from our food and drinks, but when we were cleaning up we saw it was the freezer. I contacted the property management company to explain the issues and still haven't heard back. To be fair, it was Labor Day Weekend. However, I assume that is a busy time for rental property management companies, and figured I would get some sort of response within a week. When I called the number, someone answered, and they were very helpful. Unless this place is thoroughly cleaned, I wouldn't recommend the property.

Not the cleanest place
Generally ok but dissatisfied with the condition of the place. The amenities offered are very old, the floor in the kitchen was sticky and the utensils were dirty and greasy. We couldn't find dishwasher pods and we had to hand-wash everything or go back to the stores to buy pods. The place could use a little care and I would brief the cleaning staff to actually clean and make it pleasant for new guests. Worth spending more for a better stay.

here's a list of issues:
1. Kitchen - limited cooking items. No a ladle, no liquid dish soap, someone previously unplugged the fridge, so it took 12+ for the fridge to work so we had to use the freezer for our meat.
Bathroom: nasty hair on the floor, plugged sink in the upstairs bathroom
2. Main concerns: dead rat smell in the downstairs bathroom, old stale furniture and beddings, old bath towels. all the twin beds were uncomfortable and so were the sofas
3. beer bottles next to the front porch
I was on a vacation, but due to the various signs about what I should and should not do, that we should be quiet at all times, it really reminded me that this wasn't a vacation. I'm sorry, but for such an old house, there's way too many regulations. There was no air circulation for the upstairs so it was hot all weekend. We had to sit downstairs during the day.

Had a very nice stay!
I had a great time on vacation and the house had everything we needed. The location was also awesome. I only had a few minor issues with the house. One was the person before didn't take out the trash so the trash was full, which didn't allow us to use the trash at all. The upstairs bathroom wouldn't turn to shower it stayed in bath, we had kids so we made it work. Overall, it was a great stay. I would have given it a 5 for sure if it weren't for the minor issues.

Great getaway , perfect house!
The stay at this home was spectacular. It was the perfect location and close to everything. Checking in and out was extremely easy. I highly recommend staying at this house. It made our vacation perfect.
