Homeless people all around building at all times. Unsafe conditions for anyone. Very loud neighbors up all hours next door. Terrible location. Zero customer service/old towels/no phone in room. I would never recommend staying here. We were approached by homeless on several occasions. Parking is absolutely terrible.

Our visit was very convenient 😄

It was such an enjoyable stay. It has a very vintage but updated feel. Parking is a block away and there isnt an elevator so if you’re not very mobile, not for you. Comfortable beds, common area. Loved having a kitchen , honestly felt like home.

Way too noisy — upstairs, outside — clearly wasn’t built as a hotel and they didn’t put anything u to soundproofing.

Our stay was great, the only thing that was off a little bit was that there were no sponges to wash dishes, and there weren’t enough dishes for our family. And there was a broken glass and it kind of cut my finger a little bit, but it wasn’t a big deal. We’ve stayed there once before and we would definitely stay there again!

The room was great, clean, and had everything I needed including a kitchenette and ceiling fan. Staff were helpful and accommodating as I needed an early check-in and early access to parking. Location was really convenient to the convention center, restaurants, and coffee shops. Unfortunately there was a lot of noise both nights--one night from a band/karaoke until very late and the other night from the street, cars, people outside, even when I kept the windows closed.

Great downtown location. Unique hotel that will do all they can to accommodate special requests. They worked with us on two stays 8 days apart - around a Carnival cruise. Managed to get in early both arrival days. So great to work with. This will definitely be our Long Beach hotel.

The room was on the second floor and actually a suite with a full kitchen and bath. The bedroom had a large sitting area and the windows on two sides opened onto the street below. Climbing the stairs was a bit of a chore as I had three heavy bags but was the only drawback to my stay.

Great room! Wish there was cleaning stuff like a broom and Windex, a sponge and dish soap. We enjoyed our stay! Garbage built up from room not being serviced. But other than that it was a prime location!

This place was loud and the pictures were not what the room looked like. I was so disappointed and the area was not great. Won’t stay there again.

OMG… never again we arrived late last night people were all out in front of the entrance smoking got inside and it’s so small. There were no place inside to get water we had to walk and find a store came back the neighbor music is so loud we heard it all night the walls are so thin you can hear everything.. finally dozed off and the people on the 3rd level I guess they didn’t sleep literally felt like there were coming through the ceiling.. this is not what we expected I’m so sleepy and this was horrible… you can hear everything the people upstairs must be big ass all I hear and heard was noise oh and no elevators you have to carry your luggage upstairs

All good with checkin, room cleanliness, spacious, walking distance to multiple eateries, quiet neighborhood. Only disappointment was the hole in bathroom wall behind door - somehow was punctured before we arrived.

Our room wasnt ready when we got there for check in at 3. Not too big of a deal I understand if they were behind. Later that night we went out as a family to eat. When we got back the physical door stopper malfunctioned and locked us out. I have 3 young children and all our stuff was locked. We called the emergency number and luckily a lady answered and helped us out a bit and called for help. She was lovely and stayed on the phone with me. We were given another room in the meantime and someone did end up coming late at night. We got back in but I felt paranoid the rest of pur trip. They just tied the lock with a string.
The shower was a little janky as well. Overall great area and staff was nice but i won't be coming back.

Very cute little hotel in downtown Long Beach. Excellent bathrooms, comfy beds, great customer service at a great price

Great for a quick stay. The only thing we didn’t like was our room had a window in the bathroom that overlooks a wall. My daughters were terrified to go into the bathroom by themselves. I think it would be great to maybe even add just a curtain or blinds or just close the window Up.

The property was very clean and roomy. Easy to get to , we parked at the Marriott one block away. It was noisy.
My wife had trouble sleeping
Maybe just unlucky as we had loud neighbors and walls are pretty thin.

No extra blankets. Noone at the lobby,
the manager sent this RUDE text, when I asked about the cleaning services.
" Sorry but you need to start reading information sent to you way in advance ! Hotel do not service rooms since Covid ! Our policy is 5 days. Next time , don't take this wrong , book a big hotel with high prices that have services , but again read the information sent in advice "

Overall satisfied, loved the area and room with a view. Only little minor knock was the room wasn’t ready when we got there around 4pm. But will come back here again!

No elevator. Was not notified until the day of checkin.

The room was nice, clean, and the property was good. However, the room we were in was jarred/rattled every time the outside door slammed closed which was often. This made it imposible to sleep. They need to reinforce the door frame as well as put a soft close feature on the door to prevent this...

Great location before our cruise. Water in shower not hot. Not a fan of contactless entry. Front desk never even said hi on our way out.

Hotel Metropolitan is a hidden gem! We stayed in the King Suite and were so comfortable - the place was clean and spacious!

My family and I needed a hotel to stay in the night before our cruise. This hotel is in walking distance of activities and food. It's clean and spacious. It reminds me of an apartment. Would definitely stay here again. Our room was in the front of the building so it did get a bit noisy from outside traffic but it didn't deter us from getting a good nights sleep. There is no elevator and no people here for check in or out. You're given a code which was convenient instead of having a key card.

Great location! But no elevator in the building.

Windows did not keep out noise.

Not very quiet with street right below. This is an older building with no elevator but cute rooms which are clean and comfy. Would stay safe here again.

The accommodation was really impressive with a separate flat, very comfortable

Great place to stay in the heart of Long Beach. Very clean and the staff was excellent

Really enjoyed my stay here. Stayed pre-cruise, And it's very close to the cruise terminal and has the benefit of being centered to a bunch of restaurants as well as other activities in the general downtown area. Was very walkable to get to multiple things, which helps because parking is really non-existent. I was strongly suggest taking advantage of the parking pass, or paying for parking yourself if you drive. My room was more of an apartment than a room, not sure if all are that way but it had plenty of space. Full bedroom full living room with a dining room table and a kitchen, along with a bathroom with a tub which is always a plus for me now traveling.

The hotel has a strange smell, and the carpet on the stairs and in the hallways probably traps the smell even more. I found large yellow stains on one of the bath towels and found little red streaks on my bed sheet. I thought the hotel was very cute and the room was large with lots of windows, which was nice. It seems that most of the problems is with their linens.

Nice place to stay. Just be weary that they don't have an elevator so if you have luggage you'll be lugging it up flights of stairs.
10.0
The property was nice because the staff was great at communicating. We didn't actually see anyone while we were there but we were able to get in and out of our room and the hotel with no issues. The hotel is very walkable to restaurants and the beach. I would defiantly recommend this property to other people.

This is very much a boutique hotel. Must be tech savvy because you check yourself in and out without speaking to anyone. Each room is different which is cool, but we had one with a bathroom two people couldn’t even fit in. Also, no elevator so be prepared to carry bags up three flights of stairs.
6.0
Good location and value. Room needs a bit of TLC.
