We loved this place for its beautiful architecture, inside it is very beautiful too. I like that it is tall building, so you can enjoy the view. Staff met us with complementary drinks. Very comfortable bed and bedding, plus the bathtub was nice and relaxing.
Sadly, when you getting out of the building, there is homeless people everywhere, yelling, smelling, doing things. We couldn’t enjoy our walk in peace, walking there was really scary experience, but if you’re having a company of 5 let’s say, I think you’re ok(or if you’re driving) plus Those homeless people just using streets as toilet, so you can imagine the smell. By the way, IT IS NOT hotel’s responsibility, so yeah, they are keeping their place safe and clean from it that’s for sure.
Two more not good things, is that in our bathroom we noticed someone’s piece of fake eyelashes. Second, on bed headboard and on curtains there were a good amount of dust, but everything else seemed clean.

Location, street parking, style, cleanliness, beds, etc
Took approx 15 minutes for someone to show up at the front desk. There was a line growing of people waiting to check in, but none l no one showed up. TV only worked on 1 channel. Also there was a domestic dispute in the hallway around midnight that woke us up & kept us awake for an hour+

The hotel was very nice and room was nicely decorated - modern and clean. The room itself was a bit small but the bathroom was huge. Very dog friendly. My pup loves the toy and treats they provided. Convenient to shopping.
The area surrounding the area is a bit sketchy. Not to the fault of the hotel but I didn't feel comfortable walking around. Smells quite bad once you stepped out of the hotel. Parking was kind of a nightmare. Had to use valet and the loading zone to drop off stuff was so small that we had to fight to get a spot to unload. Our key got scratched and when we told them, they said unless we go through the formal complaint process, nothing can be done.

Hotel was great, room was clean, comfortable and updated. Great water pressure in shower. Good restaurant bar in the hotel.
Woof. Grateful the hotel was so nice. Portland itself is in rough shape. You are two blocks away from the mall/Nordstroms, etc. But what you walk past to get there was eye opening. If you go the wrong direction, you can find yourself in homeless/drug camp pretty quick. Portland was a very walkable city and parts still are, but Uber will be your friend, even for short trips and even in the middle of the day if traveling with young family.

I like how friendly the staff was. It made the stay enjoyable.
I didn't like the surprise fees. Their prices are accurate on their website. However, Booking.com only displays the base rate. There is an additional $55 per day parking fee and other amenities fees.
The hotel is well worth it. I just wish I did not have to face the sticker shock at the counter.

It was well designed and the staff was very kind!
There were a couple of issues with the room (torn pillowcase, broken door stopper, not the proper amount of towels, etc.) The parking rate is also extremely high.

Beds were comfy
This hotel really was not worth the stay in terms of value for money for a few reasons:
1. We arrived after a 6 hour drive to find out that the valet parking is $55 usd for one night which was never mentioned when I called the hotel the week before our stay to confirm cost.
2. Our booking had breakfast included and as we checked in we were given a $15 voucher each for breakfast instead (this does not count as “breakfast included!!). The staff did not care and stared at me blankly when I brought this up.
3. The next morning we complained again about the breakfast because it was part of our reasoning for choosing this hotel - the second staff member we spoke to was slightly more helpful and waved the additional amount for our breakfast. $15 each barely gets you anything in their restaurant!
We also had to wait 50 minutes for our food (tiny portion, cold/ hard toast, soggy eggs, cold potato’s). All round a terrible experience.
We also thought it was ridiculous that they charge $7 for bottles of water in the room, it really felt like they go out of their way to rip off their guests.
4. As we checked out, I asked why I was charged more than expected (they told us there was a $50 deposit and resort fee yet we were still charged more) and no one could tell us what the extra charge was for. Luckily it was refunded but the staff were absolutely no help and not very helpful, caring or transparent (except for one staff member that waved the breakfast charge).

Location and cleanliness of the rooms met my expectations since I'm familiar with Portland. Morning breakfast and service staff was very accommodating
Front desk staff was not helpful and rather snarky. I was not informed the policy of the hotel for single guests that you must inform the front desk ahead if you want housekeeping. WhenI mentioned it would have been nice to have been informed of this at checkin. I received a snarky response - It was almost as if the job they were doing was beneath them.

The rooms were fantastic, clean spacious and comfortable! They contained all the amenities and everything felt modern and fresh. The view of the city was great too!
The area around the hotel was concerning, outside our window we could see a large number of homeless on the street below. Unfortunately we did not feel very safe outside of the hotel.

loved it
they didn’t clean up the room everyday, usually hotels clean up bedrooms every day.

Great central location -- walking distance to many points of interest; nice modern rooms; very clean and tidy. Portland is a fantastic travel destination -- I really enjoyed it. To my pleasant surprise, they let me check in around 1pm -- most places just make you wait until later in the afternoon. It was much appreciated. ...Quite a comfortable stay, all in all.
The mattress was a bit soft for me, but I know many people prefer that - you can't make everyone happy, I know. It wasn't a real problem, anyway.

The hotel is very cozy, location is close to everything we needed, no breakfast for us but dinner was great, service was very good
The toilet had a slight leak I could hear it go on and off, the shower drain was very slow in draining the water, had to buy liquid plumber at target

Very clean and comfortable room. Great bed!! Staff were helpful and kind. Great cocktails in the restaurant! Location was perfect as well.
We did not find anything during our stay that we didn't like. I guess the only thing was that the ice machines didn't work, but I asked reception and they immediately got me some ice from the restaurant.

Excellent amenities…
The toilet overflowed after flushing when first using it. Maintenance came immediately, politely, and apologetically solved the problem. No more issues.
