Luxury at a bargain rate

The lobby is open and airy with plenty of room for foot traffic but also lots of seating. To the right it rambles off to a nice, large bar/restaurant (we didn't try it) and the back part overlooks the Riverwalk. To the left is a large breakfast area. The rooms (we had a superior king) are similarly spacious. The hallways are wide and well-lit. I did not partake of breakfast but am told that there was a good variety and made-to-order omelets. The location is on a a quieter portion of the Riverwalk, away from the masses, but still convenient to everything.

There were no negatives.

Comfortable stay

Good location. Steps to the Riverwalk but not a crowded area so it wasn’t noisy. Laundry machines in the hotel were a big help. Clean. Fridge and microwave were nice to have.

Our room could have used a re-fresh. The furniture was shabby looking and bathroom was clean but old looking. Living area was tight- too much furniture in a tiny area. Parking is $$ but there’s a parking garage a block or so away that was very reasonable.

Highly Recommend!! Wonderful Hotel on the Riverwalk with Excellent Free Breakfast

This is an amazing hotel with an excellent location. They have a "happy hour" with 2 free alcoholic drinks and snacks from 5:30pm - 7:30pm, never seen that before and what a nice thing to have! The complimentary breakfast in the morning was excellent, delicious made-to-order omelets and red-skin potatoes along with all the other normal breakfast things. The best complimentary breakfast I've ever had at a hotel. The room was nice and quiet and excellent A/C. The pool was a little small and got busy at night but we ended up going early in the morning our 2nd time and had the pool to ourselves. The location is right on the Riverwalk with a beautiful waterfall right underneath the hotel that makes an amazing backdrop for photos. We didn't have to wait long to check in even on a Saturday at 4:30pm. The staff was very friendly and helpful, giving us recommendations to local restaurants, etc. The hotel felt very safe as they kept all doors locked after a certain time of day except for the front doors. We were all impressed with this hotel and highly recommend!!!

Pool could have been bigger, have more amenities for the kids and the restaurant on-site is too fancy and not appealing to families, no kids menu or anything really for picky eaters so we had to eat elsewhere.

El personal no fue amable. Ni sonrisa ni con ganas de resolver inquietudes. Los del valert parking, excepto uno, fueron groseros. La limpieza fue pésima. Y para rematar, se me quedó una compra en la habitación, cuando regresé a buscarla, no estaba. Y nadie fue capaz de darme respuesta. Todos con los que hablé se desentendieron del problema.

Beautiful scenery, so many things to do within walking distance.

The breakfast was great and the coffee was delicious. The elevators were clean and quick. I liked how they gave information for my dog to relieve herself.

There wasn't any face soap, body soap, or conditioner in the bathroom. I could have used some make up wipes, maybe some cotton swabs, there was none. The front desk wouldn't give my husband the soaps, he had to go back to the room and wait for someone to bring it, they didn't even give face or body soap, just shampoo and conditioner.

Definitely worth every penny!!

We had an amazing stay . The breakfast was delicious! Centrally located to all in San Antonio and a great happy hour. Please try the restaurant the food was absolutely delicious!!!!

Nice weekend getaway

Great services. Breakfast and afternoon cocktails were a nice touch. Breakfast was great.

No dedicated cocierge. While front desk staff were helpful, I didn’t feel I was getting my interests met.

Caro y no llenaron las espectativas, no volvería ni lo recomendaría

la ubicación céntrica al lado del River walk desayuno muy completo hora feliz ambiente Salir de la casa ambiente familiar

Todos los camiones que el sofá cama no está bueno sofá cama no está renovado y olía a mascota las colchas, no teníamos jabón liquido, ni shampoo ni para el cuerpo, dos dias sin que nos lo repusieran. Otra sorpresa desagradable cuando nos informaron que cobraban $50 USD diarios por estacionamiento en el hotel, consideramos que no deberían cobrar.

Amber was great! She gave us suggestions on places we could take our teen age granddaughters. She was very knowledgeable

The breakfast was amazing!

The bathtub was clogged retaining water when we showered. The hotel said it had Riverwalk view, that was a stretch. It was an ugly view from our balcony. The snack bar was horrible. ( we have stayed at a Embassy in Round Rock)

Great space and location for a family to explore San Antonio!

The staff at this property went above and beyond to make sure our stay went well. There is a wonderful daily hot breakfast and a happy hour with drinks! The location was perfect to explore San Antonio and the riverwalk. The suite was also a perfect size for a family of four.

The facilities in general are aging (paint, plumbing, fixtures) and could use a little TLC. The pool area is small and sparse and is mostly shaded in the afternoon.

The rooms are old and dirty. It should be maintained better. We decided to cut our stay short.

The stay was ok

For the amount of money, you would think the room would be nice. But it was just ok . You are only paying for the view , which is just ok . It wasn’t a wow factor .

The bathroom had rust on the bathtub.

It was a great stay with a hospitable staff, valet service, room with a view and great food.

The morning breakfast buffet was incredible, and the manager's cocktail that is hosted nightly was great. The hotel is right on the Riverwalk and near to everything, so the location is perfect.

Great time with family and plan to be back!

The breakfast and manager happy hour (2 free alcoholic drinks, unlimited nonalcoholic and some light snacks). Kids can be with you during their happy hour which is nice while traveling with a family! Never experienced that before, it was a nice touch.

Room 1408 has mold all around the edge of the bath tub, so we were not able to take a shower or bath while we were there. Parking was way too expensive it should not have cost me an extra $100 to stay 2 nights because of parking. Freaking ridiculous.

Unexpected Fun!

That when I requested a balcony .. they said there were none avail.. but when we went to our room… SURPRISE there was a balcony.

The balcony was touching the GIANT RELEASE VENTS that made THEEEEE WORST end of the world type howling, screeching, buzzhumming ALLLLL night long. I’m not kidding or being over dramatic at all, when me and my fiancé were sitting DIRECTLY next to each other out on the balcony … we were yelling and could not hear a single word that was being said. It was a trip!

We enjoyed our stay at Embassy Suites and will book here again.

The breakfast keeps me choosing Embassy Suites whenever I travel. My week stay was amazing thanks to Amber each morning with a welcoming smile and pleasant conversation. My last day going down for breakfast was not as warm, she was off, and the other workers barely spoke unless you asked for something. Regardless of their language barrier they can smile and be cordial. I would like to see Amber in a better role she has such a people loving personality. Also, the tables were not as clean as when she is on duty in the morning and when we asked on the last day for it to be cleaned it was just a wet towel used no spray that Amber usually uses that gets all the sticky grimy stuff off the tables. Alot of the workers did not speak English and made it quite difficult when at times requesting items, I had to reach back in my Spanish dictionary this week. When we checked in it was after midnight, and the front desk clerk was not very pleasant, we were tired flight delayed twice so Amber or a person like her would have been a welcome surprise. The front desk people during the day were nice, had an issue with the Range restaurant they quickly solved it, and were very friendly. Overall, Amber each morning for breakfast and being with our friends and family really made coming back home to visit amazing. I will probably stay here again, due to the location. They were very crowded and booked during our stay and it was quiet each night. The rooms were very clean and housekeeping very attentive. The Christmas decor was fabulous!!!

The sofa bed needs to be replaced and the pillows were very hard. They are long too big and were very uncomfortable. The furniture outdated and very heavy, so for them to be downtown in a premier location they need to have more modern and updated furniture.

Really enjoyed the hotel and San Antonio

Location very good for access to river-walk shopping , restaurants and the Alamo , we felt very comfortable walking around the area often late at night . Rooms where good sized and clean

We stayed in 3 different Embassy Suites over 12 nights and each one supplied the same breakfast and evening reception with very little imagination , it would take very little effort to change it around and add a bit of variety for guests

The pool was small. The room was a bit small, paint was chipped and shower head was old so water pressure wasn't great. Didn't provide enough toilet paper for 6 guests. Had to request more.
