This was a cute old house in a nice enough location. The host was kind and courteous. The house just needs A LOT of work, and wasn't very clean. The backyard is NOT NEARLY as nice as the photos. They provide a LOT of nice white towels which was very nice, and they offered to send a cleaning person over DURING our stay, but there were old, dusty fake flowers, and carpets and rugs that held all sorts of dust and dirt. We didn't HATE it, but it should've been in much better condition to host for VRBO in my opinion. Host DID credit us some for not providing check-in information until almost 12 hours after we were supposed to have access. That was appreciated, but a hassle nonetheless. We survived.

My family and I planned a celebration in Memphis for my sister's birthday since she loves Beale Street and the Blues. I reserved this home after specifically asking the host if the home was wheelchair accessible because my sister is wheelchair bound. Of course the pictures online shows a raised porch but I wasn't sure of maybe there was another entrance that was wheelchair accessible and also we needed the bathroom(s) to be wheelchair accessible. I was told "yes we have a flat area on the side for the chairs. The main bathroom is wheelchair accessible." However, when we arrived this was not the case. The "flat" area on the side had one STEEP step that could only be considered wheelchair accessible if you are comfortable taking a very real risk that the chair might tumble and the person fall out. The concrete leading to this steep step had cracks and was uneven also making it risky navigating a wheel chair. Also, if you were able to navigate this steep step there was another steep step to enter the front door. I contacted the host who said, "so you need a ramp." Unfortunately, a ramp would NOT resolve the issue since the broken concrete posed an equal risk. These safety issues were non-negotiable but the problems didn't stop there. When I walked in the home the scent of mildew was overwhelming, and it didn't appear that no one had stayed there in a very long time. We were forced to scrambled to find another rental. Another surprise was that the property is two-story and the host rents out both the upstairs space and the section we reserved meaning the driveway/parking spaces as well as the backyard space. The backyard space looked very inviting online but reality was unkept and neglected as well. So this home was NOT an option given my sister's wheelchair, my brother with an unsteady gait due to a stroke(broken concrete) and niece with respiratory sensitivity(mold/mildew) Thankfully we were able to find another home within about an hour of arrival. I made customer service aware of the cancellation but at the time of this writing I have NOT gotten a response from anyone.

Came to Memphis for my birthday. We had plenty of room and amenities were very nice!

We enjoyed the home. It was convenient to downtown and the suburbs. We would stay again!!

Property was excellent and plenty of room for family. The owner Valerie and a very special thanks to Towanda who met and greeted us when we arrived at the property. Towanda walk us thru the entire home and gave us suggestions on what to do while in Memphis. We had a wonderful time and will definitely be returning and staying at this property again.

My family stayed upstairs and downstairs...best move we have ever made..we were all together and we hung out ALL together and we had THE best time!!!

Let me start off by saying the House was amazing and Valerie was awesome to deal with. My family really enjoyed the accommodations Valerie had prepared for us. When we return if we need a location of this size we will definitely stay here again. Unfortunately our weekend was turned upside down by the magnitude of the weather which had the city of memphis in a horrible situation where over 100,000 ppl were without power including us. Valerie was quick to handle the situation for power and fans so we would be comfortable to continue our family reunion. Overall great location and great host. Thanks VALERIE.

Wow. Looks are very deceiving. This was a total embarrassment to my wife and I because we had 4 other couples joining us. Upon entering the home, there was an overwhelming smell of air freshener throughout. This was a cover up for the black mold we found underneath the kitchen sink. Which is a health hazard. The carpet was just shampooed hours before we entered because our sock became wet when we took off our shoes. Also, the vent covers were filthy. There were stains on some of the linen and bath towels which we had to wash before going to bed. The sink in the half bath was coming apart from the wall. It became apparent that the longer we stayed the more things we noticed. On Saturday, my brother fell through the patio chair and could have been injured, but on the pictures the patio furniture appeared in newer condition. Two of the chairs bottoms were missing. Also, all the television had cords dangling from the wall and the pictures show that they were in cabinets. What broke the camel back was when we killed two bugs that looked like giant cockroaches to us and Wikipedia. I immediately notified the property owner and she said "they are water bugs." Then we noticed the hidden mice traps in each room. At this point, all the females were ready to GO! We ended up leaving a day earlier due to these conditions. The only reason I'm giving this location a 1 star is because it did have running hot water. If we wanted to a have limited amenities, we would have rented a camping site. Needless to say, we would have been probably more pleased. We also have pictures to prove all of the above; however, there's no place to submit them. Overall the pictures shown on the website, were very deceptive. There was no mention made of an upstairs or downstairs unit until I couldn't get my money back. If so, I would have been given the opportunity to ask about the upstairs unit. The upstairs renters allowed us to view the property and it was in a far better condition.
