Mitsui Garden Hotels are a great brand but each hotel has it’s own personality. Kyoto station is perfectly located.

Excellant hotel and ample choice for breakfast. Staff were very friendly and nice to see someone at a reception desk instead of a machine, people add to the holiday experience.
Location next to the train station is fantastic and my only comment would be is that we had difficulty locating the hotel. As you looked down the street from the traffic lights the hotel is stepped back and blocked by the previous building. After the first day we came across another holiday couple that were looking for the hotel with the same location problem, we pointed them to the hotel so no issues. Google maps can be confusing at times and if you have no internet then other difficulties would arise.
Only comment would be directions to the hotel, apart from that it was excellent.

loved the location and our room was very clean and comfortable. The staff were very helpful and courteous. We liked having a washing machine to do laundry on the 7th floor and that we were about 200 metres from Kyoto Station for our day trips.

Perfect location on the east side of Kyoto Station, but on a quiet street. Spacious and carefully furnished rooms. Excellent cleanliness and comfort. Comfortable and welcoming common areas. Particular attention is paid to the choice of environmental scents and to the musical selection, both extremely pleasant, and to the environmental sustainability. The staff are friendly, helpful and truly professional. Appropriate internet connection and comfortable rest point with tea, coffee and juices available to guests until midnight. Possibility to leave your luggage after check-out. Highly recommended

Location, easy access to train, bus,taxi, and Subway.
From the exit can see Kyoto tower, no need to cross street, just turn right, pass the taxi line, the Porta and a big drugstore, the first little street make right turn,you will see the hotel sign right away. ( entrance is low and discreet )
Wish breakfast would have a toaster for making thick morning toast. The little bread is all cold, and the Japanese food choice is pretty cold as well except rice and soup.

Location excellent, just a couple of minutes walk from Kyoto station
I could not recycle my cans and bottles, they wanted them in the rubbish. I took them to the railway station where they have plastic bottle bins

Location proximity is great, easy of access in ramp and lift in quick succession
The check-in staff was too hasty, did not realise that the guest is hearing impaired and spoke too fast.

Great location, 5 mins walk from Kyoto Station (central exit). Value for money as the room was very neat and clean. Facilities offered were adequate. Appreciate the fact that the hotel minimises wastage with their “use only what you need policy”. Great staff.

Room is spacious and very clean because the hotel staff is working hard to keep it clean. They would leave a note to let me know that the room is being disinfected.
Due to the snow storms at Kanazawa, we decided to extend our stay in the same hotel. We tried to explain to the junior staff that we don’t wish to switch rooms and whether it is possible to stay in the same rooms. Initially, there was some confusion as the junior staff switched my room to my friend room and I was not able to open my hotel room door after returning from shopping. A senior staff (a man) managed to understand what happened and assisted us. The junior staff was not able to understand English so he should use other language that he could understand e.g. Mandarin
