Everything was as shown - good neighborhood - very clean apartment. Giancarlo is an exceptional host and goes above and beyond in his communication and recommendations.

Loved staying here. The Oltarno location is perfect. A quiet neighborhood yet accessible to everything. Pietro, the host, is so helpful and accommodating. He gave us great recommendations and went out of his way to make our visit to Florence really special. Five star all the way.

Pietro's place was everything promised in the listing and photos - and MORE! A modern kitchen and bathrooms nestled in authentic rustic architecture, high ceilings and comfortable beds. The neighbourhood felt friendly and safe, people live here. There are 2 awesome restaurants and homemade gelato right arounf the corner. Easy access to transportation and all the best in Florence. Pietro was a great communicator every step of the way, answering my questions, making us feel welcome, even storing my friends' luggage at his own home as a courtesy. You cannot go wrong staying here!

My cousins and I only stayed on the property for two days, but Pietro went above and beyond to help us get the most out of our short stay. At check-in he drew out local favorites for us to visit and even offered to make us reservations. The property was exactly what was pictured and you simply cannot ask for a better host.

The apartment and Pietro are absolutely amazing. The apartment is in a great neighborhood with great restaurants nearby. Also, a very enjoyable walk to the heart of Florence (15-20 minutes away). Our host Pietro was amazing from the day we booked the reservation to the day we left. Not only did Pietro provide us with restaurant and gelato recommendations (gelato was awesome), but he also booked us a cab for our departure that arrived EXACTLY at the time we requested. I will stay here again and definitely recommend this apartment and Pietro to all my friends and family. Forgot to mention, the apartment has 3 separate air conditioning units that provided GREAT comfort for our entire family. Thank you Pietro.

We had a wonderful trip to Florence and Pietro was a terrific host! The apartment was beautiful and more than spacious enough for our family of four. Pietro was a terrific host, providing restaurant recommendations and getting us a reservation at a local restaurant called Il Guscio (you must eat there!). The neighborhood has coffee shops and restaurants but is away from the noise of the downtown area while still being close by. We highly recommend staying here!!

We had a wonderful stay. The owner was very welcoming and gave us excellent suggestions right in the neighborhood. We had an incredible dinner at a restaurant he recommended, enjoyed the local market, and were delighted to find amazing gelato just around the corner. Plus, his coffee is some of the best I’ve ever had.

We had an amazing stay in Florence and found our host, Pietro, to be so welcoming and helpful. The location allowed us easy access to all of the sights, but was off the beaten path and gave us a taste of the local scene. The apartment was extremely clean and was perfect for our family of five, that includes three adult children. Pietro made the most wonderful recommendations for local cuisine and graciously made reservations for us at a couple of stellar restaurants. The parking option was very convenient and made for easy travel to nearby vineyards. We look forward to coming back to Florence someday and will not hesitate to stay here again. Excellent!!

Pietro's apartment completely changed our perspective of Florence. This was my third time in Florence and the first two times were all about the amazing collections that make Florence the center of renaissance art. This time, however, we were able to experience the wonderful other parts of Florence and that's largely thanks to Pietro and his apartment in this fabulous neighborhood. The apartment itself is lovely and spacious with everything you could want. I cannot imagine a more perfect location. We walked everywhere. We were convenient both to all of Florence's famous museums and buildings and also to this wonderful quiet area of hidden parks, beautiful views and great shops and restaurants. Pietro was not only so helpful with recommendations and directions, he was totally accommodating to our schedule and plans. We are so happy to have found and stayed at Pietro's place. We were able to see Florence as the beautiful, ancient Tuscan city that it is.

Pietro is a great host. The apartment is gorgeous. The pictures do not do it justice. My daughter and I were on a mother/daughter trip in Italy. Pietro met us on our arrival and had great suggestions and was there on our arrival. He was also very communicative before we arrived and I felt that I knew him even before we got there. The living area is very cool with a bricked arched ceiling. The rest of the apartment has beautiful wooden beamed ceilings. There are two well furnished bedroom and 1.5 bathrooms. There is A/C and a hairdryer. He has thought of everything. I also noticed

Pietro was an amazing host! He was extremely friendly and communicative and made us feel very welcome during our stay. He gave great recommendations for sites and restaurants nearby which was very appreciated! The house was a bit darker than expected (not much natural light), and the front bedroom was rather loud with noise from the hallway so bring earplugs! The window looks into the building's hallway so the bedroom was flooded with light a few times throughout the night, so an eye mask is probably a good idea too (or darker blackout curtains). Other than that, the house was very clean and all had necessities we needed. We felt very safe in the neighborhood and it it is walkable to city center.

15-30 minute walking distance to most of Florence. Lovely place to stay. All was very clean and charming. Our host went out of his way to be accommodating. He made dinner reservations, taxi reservations and made himself available to help with any questions. Pietro was wonderful.

I don’t even know where to begin…so before we even got to Italy our host was giving us advice on things we should book in advance so not to wait in long lines! We got to the place in Florence and it was even more beautiful in person!! Our host booked us dinner and recommend the best places! Seriously I would stay here over and over again!! He helped us get a cab to the train station and booked our last night for dinner too!!! Best experience ever!!!

This home is beautiful and perfect for your florence stay. It has the old world charm along with modern features. It's in a quiet neighborhood and a short walk to all the tourist attractions. Pietro was an amazing host and a wealth of knowledge. The apartment had a fantasic hair dryer, cute little outdoor space, spacious, and very comfy beds. We spent most of our days out and about however was nice to come back this amazing home.

The apartment was perfect for a 10 day stay over Christmas in Florence! Location was great, plenty of room and Pietro was amazing, helping us with dinner reservations, and early morning taxi! Cannot recommend enough.

What a wonderful stay in Florence. Pietro made sure he was there to meet us when we first arrived. He explained everything about the large and spotless apartment. The home is in the nicest neighborhood. It’s filled with people of all ages. The best food we had in Florence was eaten in the neighborhood and Pietro made the best recommendations for everything from food to gelato. Everything is but a short walk away and it is so quiet at night. Taxis were called for us and reservations were made. It was so helpful because I did not have cell service. Time for coming and going was flexible and we appreciated that. We are dreaming of a return visit and would totally stay here again.

There are plenty of restaurants, ice cream shops, cafes, and pretty much everything you might need.

Pietro was a marvelous host very kind and full of good suggestions. We have been to Florence before but wanted to experience the real Florence in the Santo Spirito neighborhood this time. And we did !!! Immersing yourself in an area gives a strong feeling of how communities live. It builds a strong bond between you and them. And we loved every minute of the stay. Apartment was perfect , comfortable and very clean. And walking distance to everything on this side of the river and the more touristy other side of the river. Highly recommend !! The apartment was perfect for our mother/daughter trip to Florence. Pietro was a fantastic host. He shared his love for his city and his neighborhood with so many tips for where to eat and what to see. He also arranged for transportation and stored our luggage at his home until we had to leave. Five stars are not enough for his wonderful hospitality!

This comfortable apartment is located, in my opinion , in the best part of Florence. I thoroughly enjoyed my week here amongst the locals. Quiet, comfortable, fully equipped kitchen, in walking distance from the train station and all the main attractions the city has to offer. Pietro is the perfect host. On hand to introduce the area to you, and to answer any questions you may have. I have been to Florence a few times now. This was by far my most enjoyable stay. I definitely will be back soon.
