Our stay at this VRBO was perfect for us. Great location—we walked all over D.C. and we were lucky to have pretty decent weather for December. It was nice to come back to a comfortable apartment as a little refuge to refuel and rest. Felt like we got to experience a little bit of history in this cheerful row house situated in a cute D.C. neighborhood, complete with a charming little garden in the back. Tom was a great host, friendly and patient with all of my questions. We hope to get back again and stay at this great location.

We’ll be back!

This spacious basement place is ideally located, close to most tourist sites (and the Metro), but in a residential area with a nice non-tourist feel, Communication with Tom, who lives above, was easy for booking and while we were there - although there were friendly chats rather than issues with the apartment.
We hope to get back soon

Tom's place was just what we were looking for – close to the mall and so well equipped. It was 22 degrees while we were there so the portable heater was much appreciated! We will definitely be back.

Easy walk from Union Station and to major monuments and museums. Perfect size for the two of us. Kitchen was very well equipped. Bed was comfy. Lovely bathroom.

The apartment was a great location for us, while I was at a conference at the convention center! We enjoyed the convenience of the metro stop a short distance away from the apartment. I would definitely recommend to others!

This place was just right. Located in a walkable neighborhood close to everyone, the apartment was clean, comfortable, and well appointed. I walked everywhere while I was here. When I didn't walk, it was a short 4 blocks to the Mt. Vernon metro stop, or a few blocks along 13th St. to catch a bus down Mass. Ave. The property manager was professional and responsive. Loved this place and would highly recommend it.

Really enjoyed our stay at Tom’s VRBO. He has thought of everything. The central location and ease of walking to the metro made this a fantastic place to stay.

This was a wonderful place to stay in DC! The place is immaculate, the kitchen was well stocked, and Tom was a great host! The neighborhood and surrounding area was very nice, and the location was central to almost everything. It was very easy getting in and out and even when I had a few questions, Tom answered me through text. He’s really up on his game – and I wish I had looked in the little closet in the living room before I walk to Whole Foods and carried packages back. He actually has a shopping cart and shopping bags in that closet. Don’t be like me – look first because it’s so convenient to have that! The bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom was very clean and lovely. Our only complaint was the futon/bed. It was not very comfortable at all. I did make Tom aware of this, and it seems like he’s going to get something new. Other than that it was one of the best stays we’ve had!

Our family of 4 (2 adults and 2 teenagers) really enjoyed Tom’s place. The appartment is very clean, includes a very well equipped kitchen and is very well located. We did a lot of visiting on foot or by using the metro or bus. We totally recommend!

It was a good location, just a tad far to walk to the nearest subway

We stayed at Tom’s Vrbo for 8 nights in July 2023 and it was a truly wonderful place. Everything you need is in the apartment and everything in the city is an easy walk or metro ride away. Tom is an awesome host with great communication. He even made it possible for us to check in early when we had an early flight in to town. Probably the best communication we’ve had with a Vrbo host.
The apartment is great. Kitchen is well stocked with every pot, pan, spice, and gadget you could need. The bed is very comfy and the shower is top notch. We tend to judge places heavily by the shower quality, and this place was perfect. Our son slept on the pull out futon and he said it was the comfiest futon he’s ever slept on, so that’s winning!
There are multiple grocery stores just a couple blocks away in either direction and plenty of local restaurants to satisfy any palate. There’s a constant presence and movement of people in the neighborhood but you never hear them when you’re inside the apartment. We felt safe and secure the entire time.
Highly recommend staying here if you’re visiting DC. Tom is a fabulous host and the apartment is great.

This was our first experience with a VRBO. We were very pleased with our accommodations, the location, and our check-in and out procedures. Our family of five would definitely stay there again if we ever returned to Washington DC.

Extremely clean apt., with new, great quality appliances, etc. All in all, a very comfortable place located well for sight seeing, very good restaurants, museums, etc., nearly all within walking distance, or a short Uber ride. The owner/host could not have been more friendly and accommodating. My wife and I definitely will make a return visit!

Tom, the host was so easy to reach and responded quickly with the couple of questions we had. The apartment was VERY clean and so well thought through. And, yes, that mattress was extremely comfortable and the location, although central was quiet. Also, we loved having great restaurants just up the street, especially Morisco's!

We really enjoyed our stay in Tom's bnb. Tom was very helpful and was willing to help us out at the very last minute with the parking permit, as we were making our way to DC. The apartment was easy to access, well stocked, and very comfortable. It was located at a walking distance from the Mall and many other places that we visited. I will say if you've never been to DC, plan on doing a lot of walking, or take advantage of the many different public transportation options that are available in the city. Tom's provided parking permit was a huge help to us, because we didn't have to pay a cent for parking our whole time we were there. Yes, we did a lot of walking. And on the last day, we used the metro which was quite enjoyable for my family, who had never been on a subway before. Thank you Tom for the beautiful apartment.

Tom’s place is just as described online and photos correctly reflect the nice and clean apartment. Considering the central location, we were surprised how quiet the apartment was during the night. The apartment offers just about anything you might need and we would recommend it for both vacation, or business stays. While we didn’t cook, the kitchen appeared very well equipped. We have stayed in many places over the years, but rarely had such good and detailed advance information about the location, how to get there etc. Communication with Tom through text message was quick and easy. He was very responsive in answering any questions we had and was really helpful in getting us a visitors street parking permit (due to onward travel plans, we came into the city by car, which we normally wouldn’t do, but thanks to Tom’s detailed descriptions, tips and help we managed in a breeze). We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Washington DC. Thank you, Tom, for making our stay feel like a home away from home. If we pass through DC in the future, we will surely try to stay at Tom’s place again.

We had a great stay at Tom's place. He is responsive and helpful. The location is close enough to walk to DC highlights, yet also close to public transportation. It's exactly as advertised and helped make our trip to DC a memorable one.

Loved our stay! We like to save money while on vacation, so we do a fair amount of cooking.. This place had every kitchen gadget you could think of and an abundance of spice choices.

This location was perfect for us. Just around the corner from our daughter's apartment. It is right in the middle of all the places we wanted to go. We walked to a number of wonderful restaurants. So much nicer than a hotel room, we had plenty of space to spread out and the bed was very comfortable. We will definitely be staying here again

This was a great little apartment for my family of three. Conveniently located, quiet, clean, and well-stocked. We didn't spend a ton of time in the unit as we were mostly out and about in DC, but it was convenient enough for an afternoon regroup and a perfect place to rest our tired heads at night. Read Tom's Welcome Binder! He has great insights and recommendations, which we took full advantage of!

Can’t think of one negative thing to say about our lovely stay, except 4 nights was not enough time.
Locaton safe and ideal. Nice walk to mall and enough restaurants literally around the corner to bring excitement to our evening fares. Ninos Bakery for morning croissants is a must. Also near metro and an easy $10 cab ride (for 4) to museums if your legs wear out.
Kitchen stocked for the pickiest of cooks if you want to eat in. Shower delightful and new washer and dryer to make the second leg of our trip to Fredericksburg with clean clothes!
If you are looking for a host who is attentive to detail, fabulous with communication, and “Johnny on the spot” with getting back to you, you will love Tom!
Highly recommend!
