Die Zimmer zur Straßenseite sind extrem hellhörig, da die Fenster kaum Schallschutz haben. Das Hotel ist ziemlich altmodisch und teils sehr abgewohnt. Daher finden wir das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis nicht gerechtfertigt. Aber vielleicht ist es für Londoner Verhältnisse sogar günstig?

The room and the bathroom were spacious. The beds were super comfy with enough pillows. The hot water was really hot and the water pressure was strong. The room we had was on the main road, but we were not bothered by any noise from the cars on the street or people on the sidewalk. The hairdryer didn't work on the first morning there. I put in a call to the front desk and the issue was solved by a replacement within a half an hour of my call. Breakfast was plentiful and good. The a la carte items were a nice addition. Every staff member that we interacted with was welcoming, friendly, and accommodating.

It seems as if the room was only partially renovated. The beds/bedding was new, but the carpets, curtains, and desk could use an upgrade. The safe in the room did not work.

Smukt hotel med flotte og gode faciliteter. Meget venligt og hjælpsomt personale, som sikrede vi fik et godt ophold. Morgenmadsbuffeten var britisk og rigtigt lækkert, og baren ligeså. Hotellet ligger lige ved stationen, og det var let at komme frem.

Lang kø til morgenmaden, som ikke var op stor nok til et hotel med så mange gæster. Rengøringen vendte bare lagenerne, hvilket måske er at springe over hvor gærdet er lavest.

Room was in need of some attention

The entire hotel staff from front desk to breakfast room to housekeeping were great! Very professional and helpful. We stayed 6 nights and were always welcomed. Also, the hotel was spotless. This made an immediate good impression. Someone is always dusting, sprucing things up, or wiping a table top. Also, fresh pitcher-dispenser of cold water for guests at entry desk makes the front desk experience more relaxing.

Radisson Blu Edwardian Vanderbilt is Not for the disabled or anyone with mobility issues. I requested two rooms with showers since my friend and I are concerned for fall-safety in the bathrooms. We needed just typical walk-in/step-in showers and are not confined to wheelchairs. Only one of these rooms with walk-in shower was provided. It seems that this hotel has ONLY One room that has "handicapped/wheelchair bathroom," Per Floor!! The Edwardian Vanderbilt Hotel is recently refurbished and designed with no provision for mobility issues of guests, merely a token (one wheelchair accessible room per floor) to fulfill modern legal permits for occupancy. Strangely, one room that was offered to my friend, with a handicapped shower on the top floor must be approached by walking up a flight of stairs after the last stop elevator (lift) exit! My friend decided that she would accept a room with the deep tub bathroom, in order to stay on the same floor as I. NB: There is not a walkable ramp into the hotel; I am mobile, walking with a cane (stick) but am writing this for others who have any mobility issue. The front steps (8 steps) must be climbed or descended for entry or exit. Not for the faint-hearted in a slippery cold rain. In my review to the hotel I made a specific recommendation that they petition the historical preservation office to install a small glass elevator (lift) to the front entry. I have seen this in a few hotels and public buildings. This would not change the facade. Another issue was the quality of the food served as dinner in the dining room. It was ordinary frozen food warmed up. Nothing was freshly prepared, a real disappointment.... Breakfast was ample; however, foods never changed for all 6 nights' stay.

Premièrement chambre vraiment petite Deuxièmement je n'ai pas aimé leur manière de traiter un litige, nous avions payé sur Booking la totalité de la chambre trois jours avant notre arrivée . L'hôtel nous a facturé une deuxième fois une somme de 850 €. Erreur de leur part ils n ont pas vu que nous avions déjà payé ! Nous avons dû attendre 10 jours pour un remboursement et aucun geste commercial de la part du responsable. Très décevant

das Frühstück war sehr gut und reichhaltig, wenn man viel essen wollte. Auch die Getränke waren gut, man durfte soviel nachbestellen, wie man wollte. Das Bett war zum Glück warm und cosy; sonst hätte ich ausziehen müssen.

Mein Zimmer wahr sehr kalt; auch nachdem die "Heizung" eingeschaltet war. Wenn ich ins Zimmer kam, musste ich sofort ins Bett, weil ich sonst krank geworden wäre.

Location, responsive staff

The room was beautiful and comfortable. We loved the location. It was very close to the Gloucester Road station and easy to get around via tube. We loved the historic building and the wonderful lobby. It was beautiful and a perfect base for exploring. My parents also loved the restaurant. I was a bit hesitant to book due to some bad reviews, but I was absolutely thrilled with our stay. Everything was beyond my expectation!

The lift seemed a bit small but that wasn't a problem as we were just a flight of stairs away from our room. We typically took the stairs.

The location is excellent and the staff friendly.

Whilst the room has everything you would expect, there is nowhere to plug the hairdryer in with access to a mirror. Bathroom is so small you either step into the toilet or put your back out trying to get round the shower screen (which leaked). Sink plug jammed but took three requests and all day to get sorted - almost full to the top with water.
