Very cool decor and kind helpful staff

The house is super charming!! We only stayed 1 night but felt like staying longer; the apartments are fully equipped to cook and it would have been lovely to buy some fresh food in the local market and cook it. Beds are very comfortable and all is super clean. The terrace is also a lovely place. Amine, the house manager, is kind and helpful. The location is just great!! If we go back to Essaouira, we’ll stay there again!

The only thing which is less nice but I’m not sure something can be done about that: the pluming system most have some problems (maybe aged; the proximity to the sea doesn’t help also) and there is a smell in the toilets that get’s through the house that is not nice. Fortunately, there are loads of windows and the fresh air helps.

The location and the size of the rooms were great. We stayed at the Roxalane suite on the second floor with two kids. The suite was beautifully decorated and the service was friendly. It was a very special riad.

The sound proofing is non-existing in some of the suites due to the shape of the riad. This meant that we could hear everything that happened in the lobby and in the suite above and they could hear our kids making noises. The building is very old and the cleanliness could be improved. The communal kitchen should be cleaned better. The riad is very humid and there is an unpleasant odor. Our standards are high due to us having two small kids. The accomodation is better suited for adults only.

The hotel manager Amine was exceptionally helpful and accommodating and available at any time.

The lovely sunny terrace and central location.

A bit overpriced for what it is. We accidentally broke a towel which was already not new. We were asked to pay 100D on top of the original price and generous tips.

We stayed in the two bedroom apartment which has its own kitchen on the second floor. The apartment was beautifully decorated and extremely clean. We found it a wonderful experience to stay in a traditional riad. The manager Amine was extremely helpful and accommodating. He answered any queries very quickly and also allowed us to check out slightly late and to leave our bags there while we were waiting for our pick up. The breakfast is taken up on the roof terrace with a great view of the port. It is basic but sufficient with good coffee and pastry’s.

We are travelling with a toddler and it would have been great to have the option of a cot. The bed was very big though and we were able to all sleep very comfortably. The kitchen did not have any cleaning items- for washing dishes etc however this may be because there was a daily cleaning service- a very minor item. We loved our stay here.

The roof terrace was amazing, being able to see the city & the coast.

Before arriving, the staff made contact with us and even picked us up from the bus station, what is really nice. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff was helpful with everything we needed, we could even store our bycicle safe inside the house. They also offered us laundry service, very helpful. Breakfast was typical local food.

I guess there is no dry place in the Medina, so indeed everything is a bit smelly and wet. This is of course nothing, the Riad could change. We missed towels in our room, maybe they just forgot or you have to pay extra, I don't know, but I think towels are essential and should be offered for free. To improve breakfast some fresh fruits could be offered.
