Bob and Joe were such friendly, welcoming and attentive hosts - something my friend and I both really appreciated. The B&B was cheerful, bright and clean. Our bedroom was spacious and comfortable and had a view across greenery towards the sea in the distance. The breakfast was fresh, tasty and the portions were generous. There was plenty of variety with everything from fruit, yoghurt and cereal to a hearty, cooked breakfast - something we really appreciated before our long walks on the coast path every day. A 15 minute stroll takes you to Readymoney Cove - a beautiful, sheltered bay, perfect for swimming. From there, it's a short walk to the shops and cafes in the centre of Fowey. I would definitely stay at Trethewey Guest House if I visit the area again.

This is the second time we have stayed here. We have stayed in many guest houses and this is one of the best. Rob and his son Joe are so accommodating as my husband had a mountain bike race and needed an early breakfast, which they arranged. The place is lovely, breakfast perfect. We highly recommend it. The location was quiet and perfect for us as we were visiting a friend, but it was quite a walk from the town and beach - however there are frequent local buses to the town. The room was clean and cosy, the owners very friendly, breakfast excellent.

The twin room needed more facilities for two females together - such as a bigger mirror, and more hooks/rails to hang wet towels, and hooks in the bathroom for clothes/towels when showering. The fan was very clackety in the night from the strong winds blowing through it. An extra mirror was swiftly supplied when we asked.

Breakfast could have been a little warmer, heating the plates would do the trick but we enjoyed it vey much nevertheless

Robert and Joe were great hosts. The room was comfortable and the location made for an easy walk into town although the walk home is uphill. For once parking was easy and off road. There was a bar fridge made available for use by guests

Lots of choice for breakfast. Although I only had 'full English' and that was superb. My bedroom was very spacious with a comfy sofa to sit on and relax before retiring. Also a large shower room.

My partner and I had a fantastic stay here. Bob and Joe were amazing hosts, very welcoming and accommodating and gave the place a very 'home from home' vibe which just added extra warmth to the place, not forgetting Dexter of course. The location into Fowey itself is perfect and just a short distance away from other surrounding areas of interests such as Par Beach, St. Austell and the Eden Project to name a few. I would highly recommend the Trethewey Guest House to anyone wishing to visit this part of the country and once again the biggest of thanks to Bob and Joe for their part in what was one of the best visits to Cornwall we've had.

Lovely clean guest house, well maintained, feels like home from home, the rooms are spotless and some great comfy beds, breakfast was great, proper good tasting food, loved the fresh strawberries and yogurt too, parking off road for our 5 motorbikes spot on, highly recommended, well done guys your doing a great job

Amazing welcome

Rob and Joe are excellent hosts. Nothing was too much trouble with loads of knowledge about the area, the gave plenty of tips re the area. Everything is catered for in the bedrooms and the breakfasts were everything you needed to start the day. I loved the outdoor seating area provided for the guests should they want to sit outside and little provisions like the fridge to keep anything cool.
