The room seemed to be clean, value for money. We had a room without a window so I thought it wasn't going to be very big but it was actually quite spacious. You couldn't hear anyone in other rooms. Just when people were walking down the corridor which is normal in a hotel.
Although the room appeared to be clean, my bedding had some marks on them (lipstick line and a pen line). The bedding I think was clean, but they'd obviously washed bedding that had marks on instead of getting rid of them which gives the perception of being dirty. I didn't report it to reception because I wasn't concerned.

We didn’t have the breakfast as we had plans for lunch just after checking out! When we checked in on Sunday the 5 th May the receptionist who checked us in was more than helpful his name was Jethim he is a credit to the hospitality industry so make sure u tell him that from me and my family ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
To of stayed longer 🤩👍🏻😘

Majority of the staff were absolutely lovely
Upgraded for a window room, the window didn’t open. The taps in the bathroom were broke and they constantly ran. The shower was extremely hot with no cold option. “Full English Breakfast” is not a full english.

Location was good. Interesting building
Despite arriving late due to horrendous traffic, and making this known to staff, families (fair enough) and people on business/diplomatic duties seemed to be given priority at check in, even though my check in would be very quick.
Also, the room was very noisy… both from drunks walking down the corridor and a fan in the bathroom. Some evidence of damage in the bathroom too
Additionally, the fire alarm/smoke detector light in the ceiling was very annoying.
Local parking was expensive.

Great location in downtown Manchester. Staff very helpful indeed and even helped me print a document. Left luggage facilities were very useful. Tea and coffee facilities. Comfy bed and very clean.
Fire alarm went off 23 times (I counted) between 0500 and 0600. When I asked, it was triggered by a leaking toilet! It's an old building, so I guess these things happen.

Staff was helpful, and it was a good location.
The bed was very cheap and hard, and I didn't get a good night sleep

It’s very centrally located. That’s really all that’s good about it
The decor is all falling to pieces and looks like something from a 60s seaside B&B. Check in queue took over an hour. Room was dated and needed refurbishment. No ceiling lights in the room - only lamps?! Generally tacky, poor quality and needs to just be shut down and started afresh

Location
Appalling health and safety. Fire alarms activated at 0545hrs… no comms from staff, no control or procedure in place. Guests stood around in the building with no idea if false alarm or real event. I left the building with some people. No one came outside to say it was safe to get in. This is one hour after alarms. Returned to room and key didn’t work. Returned to reception had to queue 15 mins to get key working. On check out, no one apologised or had a reason why the safety procedures were non existant. With this disregard to safety, this hotel is potentially dangerous.

5 minute walk from the station and good central location for other public transport bars and places to eat.

Comfy bed, bath was nice
Only two pillows on the whole double bed. Barely any plug sockets

In the heart of the city, short walking distances from the railway station, museums, and the art gallery.
Everything was just fine.

The room was very big, the bed was comfy. For the price, it was very good. The location was excellent, right in the centre and close to where I had a lot of meetings during my stay.
The room was a little grubby around the edges and could have done with a fresh coat of paint. However, for the price this was not a major issue.

Great location, quite basic but this is reflected in the great price — we stayed overnight for a quick city break. Priya was very helpful on reception.
Rooms can be a bit too warm, but there was a fan we could use to cool it down a bit.

it was near train station for early morning
no air conditioning

The room was a good size and the building is amazing but it is so in need of some serious TLC, there were lots of youngsters staying almost hostel like, shouting or talking loudly in the corridors at 2am, the rooms are sparsely decorated with mis matching furniture, but then again the room was £55
I didn’t like the atmosphere and I’d specifically paid for a late checkout .. had maids hammering on the door and I told them I’d a late checkout and they were quite rude ..
