The lobby is so beautiful and amazing! The piano and live music was so relaxing. The staff were lovely and we had the most beautiful room overlooking the lake. The location was also fantastic.
It was a little pricey though very lovely to stay.

Beautiful hotel. It’s like an art gallery inside, full of art that tells the story of Vietnam. The staff was superior, going out of their way to be helpful

I really enjoy the pre-paid daily breakfast. I like my room with the side windows and balcony doors which make the room even brighter, sunlight and beautiful. I like the grand entrance to the hotel lobby, classiness throughout; overall very spacious with beautiful large chandeliers. The many sofas and tables in the lobby help comforting in meeting guests and visitors along with soft music and piano, very enjoyable.
Early 7am street noise and people are being loud with their exercise routine having loud music that wakes up people that want to have peace and sleep in. Very sad for street folks that are being inconsiderate of others trying to get some rest and peace during their vacation.
With the curtain rolled up; you can see the toilet and shower heads from your bed which is not attractive.
The room came with a couple thin worn-out towels, stitches were falling out, very poor condition. Maid should have discarded these towels instead of putting in for laundry to reuse.

The lobby is nice and the staff can be friendly. The rooms are adequate but definitely not 5 star standard.
The thing about this hotel, as other reviewers have said, is that the lobby is splendid but after that nothing is remotely 5 star. Most obviously, the breakfast is woeful compared to a proper 5 star hotel: poor quality and choice. Staff are fine except when it is busier and they don’t cope. The lifts are inadequate for the property. An “interior view” is in fact no view at all so the room feels claustrophobic.
But above all, the hotel scores low in my view because it is overpriced in some important respects. The “festive menu” was an absolute rip off. At half the price I would still have felt cheated. And they overcharge for room items such as water. Cleaning staff are seemingly instructed to go into the room and turn off your aircon in your absence, something I’ve never known in any quality hotel. So you are uncomfortable as soon as you return.
And I have never stayed at a hotel of any quality where no one asked (a) how was my stay? or (b) how was my meal, when the family meal cost over 200 USD. I suspect that they can’t cope with negative feedback. Are these not basic questions to ask?
As a frequent visitor to Vietnam I have this advice for other travellers: stay at Vietnamese-owned hotels claiming to be 5 star at your peril. Lower star hotels can be amazing but the Vietnam owners (Apricot, Vinpearl or FLC) have no idea how to offer the kind of service you get at Western, Japanese or Korean high-end chains. My favourites are Lotte and Nikko.

Liked the location - that was brilliant. The room was ok - but the window looked out onto a brick wall. When construction started next door the hotel was happy to move me to another room (so excellent service). The staff were exceptional and the hotel building was really lovely.
Breakfast was a bit thin for non Vietnamese. Some small croissants and pastries which were not great and only cornflakes and coco puffs as cereals. That was probably the only disappointing thing. I ended up going to starbucks to get bagels, croissants and other things for breakfast.

My colleague paid near half of the price for another room as mine, and he had breakfast included, which I did not ask for it because they requested 30€ for breakfast!! I went out to the corner to have breakfast.
Overprized compared to similar hotels in the area.
